I started cheering when I saw the little mx5 starting to move. Well done!
On standing start races, use the clutch paddles on the Mclaren wheel, set it to 50% bite for the miata. On start pull both paddles, 1st gear, throttle, on green drop one paddle then slowly let out the other and boom, wipe people on the start. Keeps your rpm’s up and a perfect launch every time! Cheers mate glad to see you enjoying iRacing, hope to see you out there!
I don't know it's definitely an advantage to do that but no Miata has that function in real life a 3rd pedal and a stick in real life the clutch would get roasted

I have a clutch but prefer just using the auto blip (under options) and my paddle shifts. Starts are easy this way. Leave it in neutral rev about 3k the on green shift to first

Similar series on at the moment in RF2 in the Caterham academy which has been great fun and seemingly a similar learning curve for a player of a new sim.

😅🤣🤣🤣 Loving it! Went to NYC puma and Microsoft stores. My knee touched the wheel in the Puma store🙃 soooo not perfect but I kinda raced😅. Also, FFB was turned off at puma store. The Microsoft sim was cool though! Thanks for the videos man! Keep em coming!

I've only been on iRacing for about 6 months or so.. on the standing starts.. I usually just put it in 1st gear.. then just punch it when the green drops. No clutch. I always seem to start a little faster than those around me that I hear reving up and dumping the clutch. I could be wrong.. but I also see guys spin the wheels doing that as well. I'm sure someone will comment I'm wrong.. and dumping the clutch is faster. Who knows ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

that tends to be fine for most of the cars used in rookie, but you can launch them faster still. Once you get past that point and start using cars outside of rookie you will find that doesn't work nearly as well anymore. All just a learning curve anyways, glhf
If you want to start well don't just rev to the max, rather to 3/4 depending on the car and then gradually put it to the max

Damn congrats on the referral links - Can't warrant keep paying $13 a month myself as a causal racer i might only get online 2-4 times a month so its a waste of money in that respect. IF only they did something for the casual guys like me between school etc its not easy to get some race time in.
To be fair, i'm in a similar boat. Though I don't mind the costs, I do find myself feeling like i'm "wasting" money by only playing a few times a week when I have time lol. Wonder what they could do for users like us?

I bought IRacing on steam, and when i entered, the game asked me to pay more money to play, which I didnt of course, so thats about 6 bucks gone lmao
