just binged watched this series and as a newcomer into sim racing games, you have made me want to get better! Hope to see more IRacing videos as I have to live vicariously through you since this game seems WAY too costly!
You can buy a single month sub for like 10 bucks to see if you like it. There are a lot of drivers on iRacing who have never spent a dime outside of their membership, no extra content.

Is it just me or does the iRacing look better in replay than in an actual gameplay? I mean imho it still captivates the atmosphere of racing really good, and those 6 months of abscence has probably gave you some experience and some more manner? Like I remember your previous videos where you was struggling hard to keep on the track, but I guess that it is almost like exercise - you gain experience, or muscles, if you are in the gym, and then you have to rest - so the 6 month rest has actually made your mind and body to adapt? In a way sim racing is deeply about experience also, innit?

Good video. F1 setup some simulators at my local grocery store to promote the race next week. Great wheelsets and the rest was garbage

@@OCRacing North Las Vegas. We will see if this lasts more than a year here. F1 has kinda made a mess of the whole city for a bit. They just now realized the tires will never get warm due to the cold weather and track layout, might even see rain which would make it like black ice.

You don't keep any overlays onscreen? did you have a simhub setup? I can't race without at least the relative black box on, I need to know how close someone is behind, it makes choosing when too defend a lot easier. I do also use racelabs stuff, which isn't a requirement imo, but is useful. IR loss just a calculation of your finishing position vs the SOF of the race, Iracing and Jim obviously expected more of you!
I like to race without anything for several reasons.
1 - looks great when recording since there is no clutter on screen
2 - Helps with immersion as in real life, you obviously don't have all of that information
3 - Just helps with general racecraft. I think it's cool to know that I'm racing with the exact information I would have if I were doing it irl.
To each their own though. Using overlays definitely gives a competitive advantage if all you care about is finishing as high up as possible.
@@OCRacing I understand choices for content, I will say that there are 2 scenarios where your kinda need the relative info, leaving the pits, and on rejoins, you can map the blackbox to a button so you can bring it up when needed as an option. Good stuff though, keep it up.

Do you think its worth it to start sim racing on Xbox? I wanna start so bad, but don't want to spend a lot of money before I'm sure that it's fully worth it. At the same time, which games would you recommend on Xbox for sim racing?
Honestly I would recommend saving up for a PC and go from there. In my personal opinion the Xbox sim racing scene is not the best

Eh, i bought F123 in July, put about 8 hours on it. Had hip surgery Sept 6th. Probably pulled my sim rig out 2 weeks ago, I was very rusty and not good. Lol. But my TM SF1000 worked properly and F123 on PS5 updates itself. So i was able to get right back into not driving good immediately. Lol

as far as I know radical has been dead since iracing killed it with SR10 that is worse than SR8 and SR8 is free content unlike sr10
