Judy, you are a precious jewel in the cross stitch community. You will get no suggestions for improvement from me, you are perfect as you are! I live in a mountain valley in Utah, right now the mountain sides are ablaze with orange and gold, the apple and pear trees are dropping beautiful fruit. There is much to enjoy about this time of year!😊
I love to see a video from you, Judy! I so enjoy seeing what you are stitching on! Your pillow finish is beautiful! I really feel for you and your husband as moves are a huge job! Thanks as always for sharing your love of our hobby! Happy stitching!
Hello, dear sister. Thank you for keeping me company this afternoon as I stitched on Moonlight Sampler. I plan to change the colors on the dog to represent Chester. I hope you and Rob are doing well. We can certainly miss our dear pets. We continue to have things in common. I trained in Chicago and lived there from 1980-1989. I love Chicago deep dish pizza as well. Take care, my friend.
Thoroughly enjoy your videos … moving is a huge job ! Love all your stitching projects and love It’s A Wonderful Life also!! Keep stitching ! I’m stitching 45 years so I’m an antique too ! Enjoy!!!
Judy you're lightning in your new room is perfect. You're a dear sweet lady. So, when are we going to meet Mr. Bunny? The table would be so cute with 2 squirrels sitting at the table with a cloche over them....stuffed squirrels of course!
Thank you Judy! Your sweetness is such a comforting view. It is obvious that you enjoy every moment of your life. Happy to see that you are at a point of having your new home organized.
Your lighting, sound, etc. was great!! I really like your setup today! I love you are stitching an “A” sampler and a new sampler! You get such good progress! I am so sorry your dear Maddie passed on. 😢 A fairly recent flosstuber I have started watching is Katie, Sewtattered. I think she just came out with #7. She is really good and gets a lot accomplished! She quilts, cross stitches, does wool appliqué, etc. Happy stitching, Judy!❤
Lovely video and the lighting was perfect. I think you'd enjoy the flosstuber from Australia called NERISSAS STITCHING LIFESTYLES. Her samplers are gorgeous and she has completed so many. When you see hers hanging on wall behind her, it will push you and Rob to start hanging yours. Drill those anchors and just pay an extra deposit. Lol
A pattern that makes into a fabulous drum is "samplers" by the Scarlett house. Not to mention the fact that it has dogs in the design! Love your floss tube...I wouldn't change a thing. ❤❤❤
Hi Judy! As always I loved the video. You are a great stitcher. I think your lighting is just fine, I personally did not see any problem at all. Those ring lights tend to reflect blue lights in the glasses of the flosstuber, kind of distracting. Also, in case you didn't know, Maximum Cross Stitch has her own flosstube and I highly recommend it. She is very entertaining, and also loves dogs.
I am trying to catch up on my flosstube watching! I greatly enjoyed your video. I love all your stitching and patterns. I plan to go to The Shepherd’s Needle Saturday! I love the shop and it is about 2 hours from me. She has a meet and greet with a designer planned. I imagine I will have some haul Saturday afternoon. Take care and have a great week!
I actually thought the light was better in this room than in your stitching room. Your glasses were a bit shiny, but all the charts came through, even those in crinkle plastic which can really glare. For me and my computer it worked really well. I find ring lights show up on the shiny surfaces of any chart , whether in plastic or not. But they do shed good light. For me it was not needed. But as you say, Wisconsin gets ark and broody in the winter. I grew up in MN. so I know. Thanks you much for your sharing. What a great haul. Great to see you back.
I am catching up on Flosstube and finally had the time to watch today! Your squirrel on the table is going to be so cute! I agree with others comments of going to a hardware store for stain, but I see Chantelle’s 141 did a video on staining. Hobby Lobby or another craft store would likely have products that would be great and you wouldn’t need to buy a big amount of product. I love your Hawk Run Hollow and it will be amazing when finished! Your video was excellent in your new quilting studio! I also love seeing your haul!
Hi again! Chantelle 141 just put out another video today (Sunday, Sept 24). It was a "get ready with me" type video, inly 16 minutes long, where she stained a piece of wood shes going to mount some cross stitch on. She shows you the products she used from Hobby Lobby. It was very easy. You should have no trouble staining your little table for the squirrel stitch😊
Your flosstubes are so wonderful..your sprinkles of story telling and your life memories..love how you justify every pattern has a purpose in your collection. Your stitching is always inspiring and beautiful. Thank you for your time and effort to make watching you a delight 🙋♀️ Happy Stitching
I’m so sorry to hear about your sweet “sugar lips”. She sounded like such a sweetheart. Your lighting seems great right now but if you are going to be stitching later in the day a ring light may be a good option. They are only a problem if you’re showing something with a glare and that can be worked around. I lived in Wisconsin for a few years and I absolutely loved driving through the countryside- especially in the fall. I live in Las Vegas now and I sure miss the beautiful Wisconsin autumns- but not the snow!
Your new setup is FANTASTIC!!!! You did a great job of showing things, camera is higher up and very steady. My photography professor always told us that lighting should be uncomfortable for the presenter, not the audience, meaning that the light should be shining into your eyes, not the camera. That's always stuck with me and you did that today. you are such a joy and I like to imagine I've stopped by for a coffee and you're showing me all your goodies in person. Thank you again and I think that little squirrel table under a cloche would be very cute.
In your piece you were showing after talking about your little table, the name: Elizabeth Lincoln. I have noticed you got the “U” and the “V” turned around. Hopefully it won’t be a problem to correct. Maybe it was charted that way. Couldn’t tell. Your lighting is great and your video is great.
I think your new location is great and the lighting was perfect for your needlework. I truly enjoy the time we spend together. Blessings to you and yours.
Hello. I love your channel & all the beautiful projects you share. Could you tell me the fabric of the month club where you got the toasted almond fabric? I’m. Looking for a good fabric club so I can build a nice stash of fabrics. Thanks for sharing your love of stitching.
Whatever you decide to try on your table, I’d apply just a tiny bit to the underside of your table so it doesn’t show. So glad you’re finally into your sewing/quilting room, I bet it makes you feel much more “at home”.
Thanks for a lovely visit. I really enjoy seeing you and all your projects and haul. Settling in after the move is so time consuming, but it sounds as though you and your husband are being sensible and making great progress without hurting yourselves!
Oh, wonderful to hear you can put things on the walls in some of the rooms. I thought he was a mean landlord not letting you and you have so many beautiful pieces to display. Your new filming set up is great. I've used stained waxes before - you can get them in colours such as Dark Oak, Light Oak. They add a sheen and an enhancement but not really a huge colour change but from what you said, that's okay you don't want to change the look too much. Maybe go to your local store and see what they advise or, if you have any furniture polish you could try that.
You put a smile on my face when your video came up in my feed. Loved your pillow finish, it is so girly pretty. Video production was spot on, lighting and sound You will be hooked on drums and strawberries. I was stitching the honey tiny town while watching you, im stitching on 40 ct so i think they come out 3 4 inches dia. See you in a few weeks.
Your set up seems fine to me, and I noticed no problem with lighting. It's always a pleasure to see what you've been up to. Take care, see you next time xx
So glad to see you and that you are recovering from the big move. The new house seems perfect for the two of you and your beloved Rosie. September here in Arizona is still very hot but hopefully we will begin to cool down in October. The fall shirt you had one was really cute. These are a couple of my favorite floss tubers Running with Scissors: Stitching with Jane & Julie and also Linen and Scraps Take care my friend. Cindy
Your lighting seems perfect. I also order most of my patterns and fabrics from Colorado Cross Stitcher. I live in Nebraska and hope to visit her shop one day.
I loved the finishing on that little pillow you showed first! If you can remember who did the chart, I would love to know!! Also, the lighting was perfect, I think. As for the wood stain, It's been a long time since I've stained anything but I'm about to embark on a couple of little boxes (with a cross stitch on the top) for my grandkids. I've been asking everyone. What I've learned: The stain comes in lots of colors. I ended up choosing Rustoleum Varathane in the color Cabernet. I got it at Ace. It's a quick dry and the more coats you rub on (with a cotton cloth) the darker it will be. I want mine shiny too, so I was told to add a shellac or a tung oil. He showed me a dozen different things I can add to create the shine. I'll probably go with the shellac on mine. I did ask if there was something that was a stain and would make it shiny, and I was told no. It typically takes the two products for the stain and the shine. Hopefully, that will help you. (And, I love that little squirrel for the top of the table. Cute!!)
Hi Judy! I love your videos & they are full of eye candy. I like the new lighting but when you hold charts & stitching in front of your face, I can’t hear what you are saying. I’m not sure how you could remedy that 🤷🏼♀️. Also, I like Waverly antiquing wax from Walmart. Happy Fall 🍁🎃🍂
First of all, your new location is perfect. At least to my eyes. I'm here to listen to you talk about stitching. Second, if you search for "How to add language to the description box on a TH-cam video" at least 10 good articles will come up. Just watch the dates - you don't want an old one. Third, nobody better make Stitching Bunny cry. That's a criminal offense in the stitching community and the Sampler Mafia will find you. 😊

The little squirrel table is going to be so cute! I love that quilting bee, what a sweet memory it has. Have a good week.
Good to see you again. Enjoy your flosstube with your beautiful stitching. Thank you for sharing thoughts and ideas.

Thanks you much for your sharing. What a great haul. Great to see you back.
That piece on silk guaze was from Catherine Theron, probably a class. I have finished the same piece and just love it.
Love the finish on the little pillow. Love all your wonderful stories.
Hi Judy, What a lovely room you are in. Would love a tour of your sewing room. Love your stitching and flosstubes.

The lighting is very good where you are today. Enjoy seeing your beautiful samplers.
Check your stain on the top of the table, it’s going to be covered with the cross stitch. Love your video. Good job!
I’m so sorry to hear about your sweet “sugar lips”. She sounded like such a sweetheart.

Love your video-as always. I’m always happy to see that you have put out another one.

Just wanted to add that Minwax makes very nice stains for the table. They might be available in small quantities at the hardware store.
Glad you are settling in. We are same age - I can’t imagine moving all my things. Congratulations

Very nice setup for your Flosstube.
Enjoyed your video! Loved seeing your work!
How to I get a book of days calendar for 2024? ❤ your videos!
Regarding your squirrel table, go to your local hardware store and tell them what you told us. They should be able to help you.
I think your new location is great and the lighting was perfect for your needlework. I truly enjoy the time we spend together. Blessings to you and yours.

Your lighting is good…might try placing the camera away from you a bit..as we are sort of looking up at you. Thank for a great video!
Polyurethane will bring out the wood grain.
Apply thin layers. It will darken to about the color of doors behind you.
