Thank you, Judy. My heart goes out to you for the loss of your sweet pup. Know in your heart that you blessed Maddie with a wonderful, lov filled home. Your stitchng is beautiful and i always look forward to your next post.❣
I am so sorry for the loss of Maddie.😢 May you find comfort in your stitching. Congratulations on the “antique” Blackbird piece! It looks great! I like the idea of making it into a quilted piece. Hugs.❤
So sorry for your loss. You will never forget and you will enjoy fond memories for ever. I dread the day we have to sell and relocate but you know it is coming when you are 75. It has to be incredibly difficult. What is with this heat in northern Wi on Labor Day??? Ugh.
Hi Judy, I enjoy listening to you so much! Thank you for sharing your beautiful stitching. I am sorry to hear about your adored doggie. Thoughts and prayers sent your way. I too lost my husband when he was fairly young. 54 years old .We. were married almost 34 yrs. Cross stitching, knitting, and sewing have given me peace of mind and tranquility also.
I want to add my sympathy to the loss of Maddie. Dogs are a constant in my life too, just about my greatest happiness. Thanks so much for showing the Christmas Pie. I stopped the video and checked it out, over 20 people right now have it in their cart and I am one of them. I can stitch Christmas all year long, like you. The difficulty of your move has made me realize that I have a house full of things too and I've been cleaning out so that someday it won't be as hard. Some goes right in the garbage and a lot is going to goodwill. Take care.
Thanks Judy for the visit. I enjoy seeing your stitching progress on old or new pieces--progress is progress! Your large samplers are lovely. I very much like your videos and also enjoy watching all of the floss tubers that you mentioned. I’m sorry for the loss of your beloved dog. Enjoy your stitching 😊
Hi Judy. So nice to watch you tonight. Thank you for your sharing with us. We also share the same birth year. My month is February. Your stitching is beautiful and love seeing your projects. I’m so sorry for your loss of your fur baby. They mean so much to us. Take care and happy stitching. ~ Linnie from the SABLE Stitchers. ❤
I loved seeing your old wips and I’m happy that you are working on them again. Sorry to hear about your dog, dogs are such wonderful friends. Loved your floss tube!
I am so sorry for your loss of Maddie. It's always so difficult losing such a beautiful (inside and out) family member. So glad you have your beautiful stitching to help you through. You and your stitching always make me smile so much. Please never apologize for talking and taking detours, that's life and I love hearing every minute of it.
I have missed you Judy. We deserve and enjoy a ramble after being away so long! as always your stitching is beautiful ❤ And so sorry for your recent loss. She was a lucky dog to have you for her family.
Hi Judy! I am Paola, from Italy. I love your flosstube and you surely have magic hands. Congratulations for the finish of the abanonded sampler. It's beautiful! I like every piece you choose. I am very sorry for the loss of you beloved dog, I know how much is sad. I hope that your stitching may give you consolation. I am glad you are settling in your new house, it's seem very comfortable. Happy Stitching!
So glad to have spent some time with you today. Glad your doing well in your new home. I get how stitching has gotten you through rough times. I broke my ankle bad 5 years ago and stitching is what kept me sane being stuck on the couch with super anxiety. Losing pets is so hard I've lost many myself. My one cat was my stitching partner who was stuck to me while I was on the couch. Love Jane and Julie too! They just are so much fun. Your updates on life are such a joy. I always hate when the video ends. You are a wonderful person and great stitcher. Thanks so much for sharing with us.b
I enjoy your floss tubes Sooooo much. So sorry about your dog. They are like our children. Very glad you are getting settled into your new home. I know exactly what you mean about things getting so much harder as we age. Looking forward to your next floss tube!!!
Lovely to see you again Judy. So very sorry about your doggy, but your memories will see you both though the days ahead. I love listening to all your stories you are a joy. Happy stitching ❤❤
First time here. I enjoyed your Flosstube and can relate to the aches and pains (mentally and physically) of getting older! I'm also sorry about your pup. I can relate to that as well. I lost my old girl at the beginning of this year. She came into my life at a tough time 11 years ago (she was 6 when we bonded at the animal shelter), so I miss her terribly. I have a couple of favorite Flosstubers; first and foremost, Alba Stitcher. She's in Scotland. I was new to Flosstube and she had just done her first one, so I feel like I've been there for her entire journey so far! For a guy to watch, I recommend Ryan, RyRy McGuy. He's in Toronto. I've watched him since the beginning, too. Both are very fun and very different. I look forward to you next video!
I'm so sorry to hear of the loss of your sweet little dog😢. It's always a tough go when they pass. Moving is no joke. I can't imagine what it will be like when and if we decide to move from our house. I am committed to trying to declutter and organize our stuff because we're approaching "the back nine" of life ourselves, and after taking care of packing up my mom's house after her passing (and thank God for my super organized sister taking the lead on that one), I realized it's not something I want to have to burden my kids with doing when the time comes. But it's a daunting task! On a happier note, I'm so glad you got to work on a few of your "ancient" wips and were able to get a finish and significant progress on a few of them😊. Good for you! Hope the hot weather is all done soon😊. Be well!
Ohhh my… I also lost my husband suddenly after 30 years …. He went to Dr. For a little annoying pain in his shoulder …… he actually passed away in the Dr. Office! Our college age children and myself were thrown into a scary new world too ! My stitching also helped me get through many lonely days and nights ! He would be proud of them now … all amazing wonderful parents now themselves ! My stitching saved me as it saved you ! 🥰🥰🥰
Thanks for sharing. It is good to know you are getting settled into your new home. I am so sorry about your dog. They are truly members of the family. I know how you feel about needlework helping you through hard times. There is something about Needle and thread that is soothing. Happy Stitching!
Judy, I chuckled when you mentioned favourite floss tubes to record in your new note book… I write info on pieces of paper too, but I must look into this book now. Thanks for sharing! Sending virtual hugs to you… my precious 2 doggies have gone to heaven, where I will someday put my arms around them again!
Hi Judy lovely to see you again, great video, sorry about your dog❤️,great finishes,WIPS and haul, sounds like you are settling in to your new home👍,have a good week Thankyou for sharing 🇳🇿🪡❤️
I’m late watching this episode but you’ve brought on some good introspection. I admire your spirit of can do. I’d say age is relative. My mom started her full time career of serving the church at your age, armed with a brand new Masters degree in Theology, she did prison ministry, Cathechism, serving at Mass and leading various groups. She retired at 90. So here’s to many more years of stitching everything you love, you sweet lady. Take care!
Hello Judy. Love your floss tube. You do lovely work I pray that the good Lord gives your hands the strength to continue doing what u love to do. You have a positive spirit considering all you have been thru. Us women have to be strong for those around us hope you have many happy healthy years. With your Hubby in your new home. See you online. Linda from Rhode Island
It is always a pleasure to see a video from you, Judy! I am so sorry about your beloved Maddie. Our pets are such a huge part of our life. Thanks for being so real about life. I wish you and your husband many happy and healthy years in your new home. It is such fun to see what you are working on. You have made fabulous progress on Autumn at Hawk Run Hollow! Thanks as always and happy sampler September stitching!
I, too, am so sorry for the loss of your dog. We have lost a couple of dogs and it is always so hard. I can relate to some of your stories. I live in Michigan so I know what you mean when you talk about the hot or cold weather. I am a couple of years older than you so I can relate to your eye concerns. I just had cataract surgery, but also am dealing with some eye failure so I feel like there are so many things I would like to get stitched as soon as I can, although I am a slow stitcher and other things in my life that slow me down. “Life” as you say. Love all your stitching and videos. You are so sweet.
My heart breaks for you losing your pet. I have an 11 yr old black lab that is my best friend. Yes, I several two-legged friends that are near and dear to my heart, but Jack is that unconditional faithful companion we all want. I thoroughly enjoy your stitching and narrative. I think you'd enjoy Two Tall Stitchers. It's a mother and daughter show; so enjoyable.
Sorry to hear about the loss of your dog. It is so hard to lose our beloved animals. I lost my 16 year old cat about 4 weeks ago. I am heartbroken but thanks to you and others who do videos, it has been a great distraction. Glad you are happy in your new home!
You have my complete sympathy with the loss of your little doggy. I like to think that all the dogs I have loved are just waiting for me to join them. On a happier note, I use 3m Command strips to hang things. They are quite strong and really do remove cleanly. My fireplace tools have hung on the brick wall for many years now.
Hello Judy so wonderful to see you again my heart felt sympathy on the loss of your special fur baby they are so precious to us i understand the pain that you and your husband are feeling bless you both 💐 sending best wishes from the 🇬🇧 as always such beautiful stitching 💝
Oh my, I'm glad I had a scratch pad close by today. When you showed the pattern A Very Merry Christmas With Agnes by Violets And Sunshine, I wrote that down and put that right on my Xmas list. I have not heard of that designer prior to your video. I love this sampler. I would really love to see your Christmas sampler wall when you get it up. It is a dream of mine to have one also.
Judy Your stitching is beautiful Don’t worry about sharing your joy of stitching . I’m glad it’s gotten you through those tough times sorry ath. Loss of your beautiful puppy Please take care
Oh my goodness you have so many beautiful samplers and all your many pieces. So happy you are settling into your new place. What a big move. We moved to our home here at the coast of NC 6 years ago at 68 and thought the boxes were multiplying! I love my walls covered in all art forms. My sister is an artist and I love her pieces. Well although I am not concerned with the holes in the wall, I have found all sorts of ways to hang them all that don't require a nail. Command strips and they are sold by the weight of your picture. I just searched for no nail options to hang pictures. I got mine at Hobby Lobby and Michaels, but I am sure that Amazon has a bunch. So hang your beautiful pieces friend and enjoy them! 😍So one of my new favorite flosstubes is Katie from Sew Tattered. Hope cool weather finds you soon. So I'm off to England to see my daughter for October and am sure to find chilly weather there. Take care dear Judy.
Glad you are settling into your new home. So sorry to hear about Maddie! Our little friends bring us so much joy during their lives that they sure leave big holes when they leave. Our three are 14 yrs, 11 yrs, and our baby is 9 yrs….seems like just yesterday they were puppies. Where does time go… Give your other pup extra hugs. Best wishes… thanks for the video. I added to my shopping list eventhough I was trying for a no spend September. 😂 Love the colors on that Northumberland! Lori
I was the person suggesting you get a feel of accomplishment by finishing off an old WIP (and am glad you finished one) - but I see you have jumped right back in to new starts / new patterns and WIPs that have a lot of stitching to finish them !!!! Am sorry to hear about you losing your dog. Love and hugs.
I enjoy hearing your thought process about aging and making choices early so that it isn't harder than it is. A lot of us are at the same stage in life and need to not wait until a crisis happens. I totally agree that stitching brings me so much joy! @ddestitches
Right there with you about getting old. It sure isn’t for sissies is it!! Keep stitching - start everything you want to - you own it - do it. I will do the same. ❤
So glad you are getting settled in your new home and very sorry to hear of the loss of your dear pet. They always have a special place in our hearts! You mentioned that the owner of your new home doesn’t want lots of holes in the walls and I would like to suggest using command strips. They can hold very heavy pictures securely and are removable with no holes in the wall. You are probably familiar with them but we first used them in my college age kids dorms and apartments. They are great, just not cheap. Only recently tried using them at home. They are a great option.
Hello! Wow!! going from a ranch house to a tri -levell?!?! That is going to be an adjustment for sure. We just sold our 2 level home and are building a smaller home on one floor. I hope you get everyghthing put up and get comfortable soon! I really enjoy your videos. Your stitching is awesome!!😍
Love that first finish. It’s great. All of your stuff looks great. We use command strips for most of our framed pieces. In our living room we have 17 pieces and only one of them required a hole in the wall. It sounds like you’ll be staying there for the long haul, so I wouldn’t worry too much about putting some holes in the wall because when you move they will have to redo the walls.
Really enjoy your videos and I lost my black Lab with a white muzzle at 13 years and miss her still everyday. I enjoy Carol too and recommend Thread the Needle with Vani for you. We are considering giving up this big house though much work would be involved. Stay healthy and keep the vlogs coming.
Dear Judy, I am so very sorry for your loss of sweet Maddie. We have so many things in common and now it seems we are sharing the same grief of losing our precious pets. Please know I am keeping you in my heart. I was touched by your kind words in the video. I, too, would love to live closer and spend time with you stitching. Take care, my friend.
Good to see you. Sorry for your loss, it’s difficult to go through it, just as it is to loose a human family member or friend. About the walls and hanging your art work, check into a 3M command hook system. You don’t use nails, nothing damages the wall, and the hangers are removable. I’ve never had one come off the wall, but then I don’t hang really heavy things. You could also use things like the ladder you have your quilts on behind your chair. There might even be something that museums use to hang art, I doubt they put holes in their walls but could be wrong. Love your pieces.
Hi Judy. I love your channel. So happy you are back! Saddened to hear about the loss of your “Sugar Lips”. Very difficult time. I was wondering if you have ever considered using command hooks for your stitching. I buy the 3M original brand. I feel they work the best. When it is time for them to come down, the hooks come off the wall easily. They make all kinds of sizes and weights. Do give them a try. I also do so enjoy Jane and Julie. I laugh and laugh. Jane’s message “to just give it one more day…..” Just so helpful and touching to me. Some of the other floss tubers I watch are:The Pink Stitchers, Stitch Roadies with Ana, Snug Harbor Crafts, Welcome Stitchery, Two Needles Pulling Thread, are just a few of my favorites. I always start my week with Pam & Steph.
You are always a delight and inspiration, Judy! Thank you for sharing your beautiful work, your passion, and your life with us. I'm so sorry to hear you lost your beloved Maddie (sp?). I hope she's now running free over the Rainbow Bridge. 🐾🌈
I don't know if anyone's mentioned but Command Strips by 3M may help you hang some pieces without the use of nails. So sorry to hear about the passing of your beloved dog. Pets are such a delight but also so tough when they leave us.
So sorry for your loss. It is so hard when you lose an animal. I lost my beloved cat of 13 years this July and miss him terribly. Have you heard of Command strips made by 3M? Lowe's and Home Depot sell them. You can hang on the walls without nails. When ready to remove they just snap off, no nail holes, no fixing....they sell them by the weight of the pic you are hanging. Worth checking out to hang those gorgeous works of art you have been creating.
I missed you! Thanks for the chatty video that caught us up with what has gone on in your life and stitching. i was so sorry to hear of your doggy's passing. I hope your memories will help you through your loss. I love the idea of Christmas room to display your beautiful work. Take care and pace yourself.
I wanted to add another comment about a favorite new flosstuber. She is Nerissas Stitching Lifestyle, if you haven't already found her. She did a Christmas one a few weeks ago that was fantastic.
Judy and Rob, my sympathies on the loss of Maddie. It is heartbreaking to lose a special friend. Dogs are the true experts of unconditional love. Grieving is tough stuff.
You are inspirational in every way. Your work is beautiful. Thank you for sharing your life and work with us. Hope you finish sorting soon so that you have all your stitching time back and can recover from the move a bit
One other thing I thought might help for hanging is if your landlord would allow you to do would be to put up a picture rail. I am so sorry for the loss of your doggie.
Judy, you’re not rambling, you’re talking to your friends! I would much rather you share sorrows with us than bottling it up, that’s not good for you. Sorry you lost Maddie. We lost one of our two Cavaliers three weeks ago. He was 13 and it’s the first time we have lost a dog, it’s very hard. Best wishes to you.
I am so sorry about your loss…a part of your family is no an angel. Oh how I wish I lived close enough to go through your box of finishes and give some a go. I made an older finish into a project bag…are there any you could do that with? I love your videos and will have to start back at number 1 to see your whole flosstube journey.
SO GOOD TO SEE YOU , SORRY ABOUT YOUR FUR BABY 💔… HOW WAS THE MOVE ????? IM SURE YOU HAVE BEEN VERY BUSY … I ALWAYS LOOK 👀 FORWARD TO SEEING YOU AND YOUR STITCHING 🧵
Maybe you can put 2 threads a day like Sarah is doing for your old wips. I don’t know if you watch mad morti and the brom , but I really enjoy watching them.
Me again Margaret…..will you share your lamp and magnification with me/us? I would like to purchase one as even 14 count PTP is getting hard to see. I wear bifocals and was wondrering if I would take off my glasses to stitch or leave them on? I wish I could sit down with one to try before I buy. Thank you!!
Hugs.❤

They can hold very heavy pictures securely and are removable with no holes in the wall. You are probably familiar with them but we first used them in my college age kids dorms and apartments. They are great, just not cheap. Only recently tried using them at home. They are a great option.
I am so sorry for your loss. Thank you for sharing your beautiful stitching.
Wonderful video, Judy! Sending love your way for the loss of your baby Maggie.💔See you again soon!
Hello! Wow!! going from a ranch house to a tri -levell?!?!
Sorry to hear about your 1st husband, & your sweet doggie.
Great progress on your WIPS.
Keep stitching!
Marilyn
You have such a wonderful collection of beautiful pieces.
I'm so sad to hear that you've lost one of your beloved babies. As a Dog Mom, I know the pain youre going through. My heart goes out to you ❤
Love your videos! Congratulations on your new home! So sorry for the loss of your little dog
So sad about your fur baby 😢. To hang your work get some command strips for hanging pictures, no holes in the wall. Love your work beautiful 😍🥰
Love your Carraige House Sampler project so close to a finish!
Hello Judy, love watching your channel❤
Good to see you. Sorry for your loss, it’s difficult to go through it, just as it is to loose a human family member or friend. About the walls and hanging your art work, check into a 3M command hook system. You don’t use nails, nothing damages the wall, and the hangers are removable. I’ve never had one come off the wall, but then I don’t hang really heavy things. You could also use things like the ladder you have your quilts on behind your chair. There might even be something that museums use to hang art, I doubt they put holes in their walls but could be wrong. Love your pieces.
I loved seeing all of your sampler patterns and WIPs.
You should hit 5K pretty soon, so proud of you, happy for you. Keep it going!
I love listening to your stories. It goes great with your wonderful stitching. You’re not old
Hello, so nice to see you again. I'm sorry for your loss.
Glad you’re back missed your videos. Sorry for your loss.
Another lovely flosstube....so sorry for the loss of your dog, sending much love from the UK!
So.sorry for the loss of your fur baby..
Loved catching up with all stitchy goodness you shared. ❤
I always enjoy your videos.
Good to see you again! 💞
I missed you! Thanks for the chatty video that caught us up with what has gone on in your life and stitching. i was so sorry to hear of your doggy's passing. I hope your memories will help you through your loss. I love the idea of Christmas room to display your beautiful work. Take care and pace yourself.
Oh I am so very sorry for your loss of Maddie. This is never easy. I hope you find peace soon.
I wanted to add another comment about a favorite new flosstuber. She is Nerissas Stitching Lifestyle, if you haven't already found her. She did a Christmas one a few weeks ago that was fantastic.
Always lovely to see you Judy. So sorry to hear about your beloved doggy passing away xx
I forgot to mention the lab's name was Maggie.
Of course you're #1 !! Happy sampler September!
We missed you too!!!
You can use oldneedles to hang lighter items. They leave very small holes.
I'm 75! You are a young gal.
Maybe you can put 2 threads a day like Sarah is doing for your old wips. I don’t know if you watch mad morti and the brom , but I really enjoy watching them.
It was an exclusive kit from thr Homespun needlework Facebook group and Hobby House. I don't belive it is available otherwise.
Would like to know where you purchased A Very Christmas With Agnes enjoyed your flosstube
Thank you!!
Where did you purchase the chart for "Mary Gypson" haven't been able to find it?
