Thanks from Japan 有難う💛。 My wife and I witnessed this very performance at the venue on Nov.26, last year. We were in bliss going through very exciting 3-hour-40-minute-long show with 33-song setlist. (Happy fatigue thereafter 😄) Note : This song was played at 2023 Lollapalooza festival in Chicago and the bass-guitar battle by Misa & Kanami made the American audience get excited. Band-Maid is one of the best bands in our country, especially in live performance. We say "Japan is the country obsessed by Rock Music". The history is very long and the obsession started in 1966 when Beatles visited Japan and held 5 concerts at Budokan. Speaking of hard rock / heavy metal music, a number of bands started to come to Japan since as early as 1970s : Led Zeppelin / Grand Funk Railroad (1971), Deep Purple (1972), Queen (1975), Kiss (1977), Cheap Trick / Van Halen / Scorpions (1978), Judas Priest (1978/79) and so on. Now, any type of rock can be enjoyed here, especially by many all-female or women-fronted bands. They are daughters of American / European rock, for sure. (Many are grand-daughters in terms of age.) Uh-oh, we also say "Japan is the country obsessed by Jazz". It had started earlier than rock 😄

Subscribed to watch you enjoy their other 120+ songs...and the live versions (where they always shine brightest)...and the acoustic set...the documentaries on them...the many excellent fancams...all the superb MV's on their YT channel...oh, and the new album is out in a few weeks so they will almost definitely put up a couple of MV's of songs from it before it's released. A frequent comment is that Band Maid has a lead guitar and a lead bass. This performance has become the #1 fan favorite. The previous #1 was for Don't You Tell Me, but from an older concert. That got replaced with the current live version. Almost as good as the older version, and a solid #2.
Kanami is a true Jekyll and Hyde. If you hear her speaking in interviews, she's the sweetest, most uncomplicated girl you can imagine. But give her a guitar and she turns into a beast and goes into her own world. Even her bandmates say she turns into another person when she plays.
This is from years of hard work, if you watch their first Music Video Thrill from over 10 years ago you can see how much progress these girls have put in and by no means is their early work bad, just they've put a ton of work on their skills and it shows. I got to see them on the 2022 US tour in Boston, which was one of the smallest venues in the tour and have to say it has to be my number one favorite live show I've seen in my life and I've seen hundreds of bands in concert.
If this is your first time seeing Band-Maid, be aware that "HATE?" live at Yokohama Arena is just the tip of a HUGE ICEBERG. Band-Maid has a catalog of 130+ songs: they could do 5 nights of 2 hour concerts without repeating a song and their fans would leave each and every concert happy, saying, "They played "%^&#@", I feel privileged!". They're THAT GOOD and it shows every time they play live. As for the bass- guitar duel, they only started this particular one last year, but every time they do it they add bits of variation within the click-track. Misa is an amazing bass player and Kanami Tono is a fearless guitarist, but whatever they play, it perfectly meshes within the song. Kanami is the compositional lead for Band-Maid, collaborating with Misa and drummer Akane Hirose. Rhythm guitar/vocalist Miku Kobato and vocalist Saiki Atsumi write the lyrics. I'm familiar with the standard list of Band-Maid song suggestions: "Puzzle" (Any Version), "Domination", "Play", "Freedom",... ...but I'll give you my non standard recommendations: "Spirit!", "I'll", "Giovanni", "After Life", "Moratorium", "Cross", "Secret Maiko Lips", "Forward", "Smile", "Screaming", "YOLO", and just go to their TH-cam channel and pick songs at random, Band-Maid never disappoints, but will surprise you often.

They are so amazing live! I got to see them in DC in 2022. The best show I have ever seen live! This video was takin from their 10th anniversary Tour, their final show in Yokohama. That show, over 3 hours long! 33 songs! Their energy was non stop! Check out Endless Story from the same show. So much emotion and love for the fans!
First, keep in mind that this is a live performance. I know that the lead guitar and bass are great, but don't forget the drums. They are the best musicians. Of course, the singers and harmonies are great too. In addition, they have over 130 original songs and they haven't had a bad one. I think they are the best rock group right now. Follow them. You'll enjoy it!

I think you've already known about LOVEBITES. So just a little info. Asami, Midori and Haruna from LOVEBITES were watching this long live show over 3.5hrs from the seats of Kanami's side this night. And I was there too.
This was from their 10th Anniversary Tour Finale at Yokohama Arena in November of 2023. An AMAZING night of music. This was song #27 of 33, of a 3hr and 40min epic Okyu-ji (what the Maids call their live performances, which translates to "serving"). This is why the live is often recommended, as the Maids like to give their Masters and Princesses (what the Maids call their fans) who attend their Okyu-ji's something a little extra for making the effort to attend. Added/extended intros and solos. I was there to witness this epic performance. Man, if you have a chance to see the Maids live, definitely worth the road trip. Just as a side note though, do not ignore the MV's, even if there is a Live MV. They are also fantastic. Some reactors do like you did with "Manners", MV and then Live and you can see if they make any changes. Keep on rocking with the Maids! PO!🕊 🤘😆🤘 "From Now On" OMV - a fantastic instrumental "Domination" OMV or OLMV - the Official Live MV was a "go to" intro song to the Maid, prior to "Hate?" OLMV. "Don't You Tell" OMV or OLMV - The OLMV is from the same show as "Hate?", also features a conversation between MISA (bass) and Kanami (lead guitar). "Freedom" OMV - Their most played song at their Okyu-ji's, featuring a little showtime for Akane (drums) "Alone" OMV - The first song accepted by their label which was written completely by the Maids. A milestone marker song in their career. "Thrill" OMV - Their first MV and the song which saved the band. If the MV didn't get any traction, the label was going to dissolve the band. Luckily, it went viral, after a book of faces channel uploaded it. Another milestone marker in their career. They all look so young...😋

Wait until you stand in front of them while they play like this, it's mindblowing. Usually they play for 2+ hours (this show in the MV was 3.5 hours long)! No support bands just them. If they come anywhere near you grab a ticket ASAP - they sell out quick! Hopefully you will get to see them in 2025! Best live band I have ever witnessed!
You have JUST barely tipped the iceberg known as Band-Maid. They have over 130 songs and each is unique and slightly different than the rest. If at all possible, watch their Official Live Videos. But if you want to have your mind ripped apart watch a couple of their instrumentals. From Now On (MV) / Onset (Live Video) / Without Holding Back to just name a couple. They will melt your brain. You started at phase 3. Phase 1 is hearing a song audio only, phase two is a normal music video, phase 3 is a live video. Phase 4 is seeing them live and the final evolution is seeing it from the first few rows. There is NOTHING...NO THING anywhere like seeing them from the front row of a live show. It is other worldly. I've seen them 11 times and 10 of those was from the front row. The show this was taken from was 3.5 hours long and this was song #27 out of 33 total songs. Oh, one last thing. I watched the stream of this as it was happening. There is VERY little post production on this. This is almost exactly how they sound live.

First, keep in mind that this is a live performance. I know that the lead guitar and bass are great, but don't forget the drums. They are the best musicians. Of course, the singers and harmonies are great too. In addition, they have over 130 original songs and they haven't had a bad one. I think they are the best rock group right now. Follow them. You'll enjoy it!
I am about to check out DOMINATION and after FROM NOW ON!!! The drums so rich and full.. the notes are stacked and skill is amazing.

Breathe, my friend. Breathe. This is just what you normally get at a Band-Maid okyuji (serving). There is another bass vs guitar duel on Don't You Tell Me from this same concert at Yokohama Arena. If you want to switch gears into a ballad then Endless Story live from Yokohama is a tear jearker.

I think you've already known about LOVEBITES. So just a little info. Asami, Midori and Haruna from LOVEBITES were watching this long live show over 3.5hrs from the seats of Kanami's side this night. And I was there too.
These two bands have completely taken over my music library lol.
This was from their 10th Anniversary Tour Finale at Yokohama Arena in November of 2023. An AMAZING night of music. This was song #27 of 33, of a 3hr and 40min epic Okyu-ji (what the Maids call their live performances, which translates to "serving"). This is why the live is often recommended, as the Maids like to give their Masters and Princesses (what the Maids call their fans) who attend their Okyu-ji's something a little extra for making the effort to attend. Added/extended intros and solos. I was there to witness this epic performance. Man, if you have a chance to see the Maids live, definitely worth the road trip. Just as a side note though, do not ignore the MV's, even if there is a Live MV. They are also fantastic. Some reactors do like you did with "Manners", MV and then Live and you can see if they make any changes. Keep on rocking with the Maids! PO!🕊 🤘😆🤘
"From Now On" OMV - a fantastic instrumental
"Domination" OMV or OLMV - the Official Live MV was a "go to" intro song to the Maid, prior to "Hate?" OLMV.
"Don't You Tell" OMV or OLMV - The OLMV is from the same show as "Hate?", also features a conversation between MISA (bass) and Kanami (lead guitar).
"Freedom" OMV - Their most played song at their Okyu-ji's, featuring a little showtime for Akane (drums)
"Alone" OMV - The first song accepted by their label which was written completely by the Maids. A milestone marker song in their career.
"Thrill" OMV - Their first MV and the song which saved the band. If the MV didn't get any traction, the label was going to dissolve the band. Luckily, it went viral, after a book of faces channel uploaded it. Another milestone marker in their career. They all look so young...😋

Wait until you stand in front of them while they play like this, it's mindblowing. Usually they play for 2+ hours (this show in the MV was 3.5 hours long)! No support bands just them. If they come anywhere near you grab a ticket ASAP - they sell out quick! Hopefully you will get to see them in 2025! Best live band I have ever witnessed!

You have JUST barely tipped the iceberg known as Band-Maid. They have over 130 songs and each is unique and slightly different than the rest. If at all possible, watch their Official Live Videos. But if you want to have your mind ripped apart watch a couple of their instrumentals. From Now On (MV) / Onset (Live Video) / Without Holding Back to just name a couple. They will melt your brain. You started at phase 3. Phase 1 is hearing a song audio only, phase two is a normal music video, phase 3 is a live video. Phase 4 is seeing them live and the final evolution is seeing it from the first few rows. There is NOTHING...NO THING anywhere like seeing them from the front row of a live show. It is other worldly. I've seen them 11 times and 10 of those was from the front row. The show this was taken from was 3.5 hours long and this was song #27 out of 33 total songs. Oh, one last thing. I watched the stream of this as it was happening. There is VERY little post production on this. This is almost exactly how they sound live.

I have only seen them live twice and unfortunately the best I can say is second row the second LA concert 2019 you were in front of me SJ lol back before I knew "Dawn Patrol" was a thing.
