Thanks Kevin, I learn a lot from your vlog that makes my co-worker and kids think I'm the best IT consult in the world when it comes to spreadsheet solutions and some IT problems.

dude I have watched multiple videos on percentage but all they talk about is how to solve something like the first question you did while I was trying to find out how to solve something like the second question. Ty so much man
Thanks, Stifler! That helped me out a lot. I'll be looking at more of your videos when I use Excel.

Respect from Pakistan. Good job Sir.
Great quick vid! Could you leave/paste as pic the formulas underneath the calculation to reinforce and allow us to see the differences and how you did them? They of course go away unless you high light the cells.
Thanks again and Stay Safe!
This was so helpful, thanks a million.
I'd give you my firstborn, but she is kind of cranky. Thank you so much for this video, you are a lifesaver.

Thank you, you just helped me
Thank you just what I needed!
Say there’s an item listed on the sheet, which has several sub categories listed and you need to find the percentage using a constant rate producing a total of the amount needed to stay above the percentage rate and every entry is automatically calculated once the worksheet is updated. With every entry.
Thank you so much!
exactly what i was looking for
Thanks for the help just what I needed

Hi, would there be a way to calculate the percentage that a value appears in a column?
For example, column A has 10 cells labelled Yes, and 40 boxes labelled No. Is there a function that can determine that there's a 20% appearance rate for Yes?
Thanks in advance
use countif/countA function
THANK YOU!!!!!!!
Can we find the percentage progress done in the project by the dates we are entering in Excel?

Hi Kevin! Need Help... I want to make a table with formulas for rental prices by the number of months . So the price is $1,000 by month in a 12 months contract. And $1,000 + 50% for one month only. ¿what formulas do i need for each month? thank you in advance!
what do you do if some of the cells within a column are zero? how do ignore blank or zero fields and divide by the rest of the column?
thanks alot
Thankyou sir
Appreciate it
Thanks
how do i add a percentage to a number, say my percentage is 25% in cell a1 and in a2 i have $100. what formula would i use to add 25% to 100?
interesting video
Thnx u
thank u
I just realized that Excel won't interpret `=100-1%` like a normal calculator do. Apparently there is no shorthand way too.
I meant to compute the difference after a 1% discount (basically 100*99% or 99).
99.99 is returned on face value (1% is 1/100), but it is showed as 9999.00% due to the automatic number formatting. It is confusing as hell when I first saw it. Hope Excel could be smarter than that in future versions.
How can you add text to a formula cell and still have it format as a percentage?
How would I calculate a percentage of a percentage in excel? For example 80% of 5%.
Hi
How can I get the percentage increase in price from €11.77 to €16.03 please
I'm not following. For example I'm trying to enter percentage of prices for my business. How do I do that?
I am in way over my head here. I want to get other pages to recognize. the name of trading cards and add the card cost to the 1st page, in the card cost row. Not having any luck at all
Thans
Stupid question on basic math, but I thought you needed to multiple by 100 to get the percentage.
Kevin, Your other vids were more helpful than this one. This was confusing for a beginner.
I simply want to figure out how to take percentages from a total cost of a line item and then have it reconcile an overall total at the end.
Everyone's videos get sidetracked.
If I understand your question, you will need two computations. But the logic is the same as demonstrated.

How's 74*10,000 equals 7,400.... Is it only me seeing this❓❓👀
I mean 7,400 is cool for 74% absolutely correct 💯... But how did he came at that he showed wrong step 74*10,000 equal 740,000.
It's not 74*10,000, but 74%*10,100. The % changes the result.
thanks ad tell bill gates is say hi
