    Kevin, Could you do a demonstration for sales forecasting? 5 customers, forecasting Sales for next year by quarter. Using 3 years of historical sales by quarter as the basis for your model? Using the forecast function vs. graph? I will use your graph to show sales by industry trending but for budget planning sales forecast by customer is needed to calculate the totals for each industry. Thanks for considering this idea.

    Hi Kevin, your tutorials has helped me alot. One of my biggest downfalls is understanding Forecasting. I think I got it but I have an issue I want to run by you. We just started a new report in January. It has data for December, January, February but nothing for March, April, May. They held all the data from those months and entered them for June. The problem is how do you forecasting this type of table with such a huge gap?

    Awesome video! Quick question, hopefully you or some of the responders can assist? is there a way that forecasting can be used in a Dynamic way? Ie if you have a good estimate through historical data of what items you are going to use to service a vehicle fleet going, however, that fleet will have ongoing planned reductions can excel forecast what items will no longer be needed?

    Or you can make a prediction on when this covid curve will finally flatten. So many people make these graphs with the daily figures announcement.

    • @KevinStratvert
      @KevinStratvert  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It's an interesting one. Predicting the COVID infection curve is a little more complicated since there are many factors that influence the forecasts. For instance, when cities/states re-open, potential vaccines, how effective people are at social distancing, when travel resumes, etc. This is just a very simple look at forecasting based on past behavior and assuming the past behavior is a good predictor of the future. Cheers!
