      Thank you so much for this and everything on your wonderful channel. You're the very first person I've ever subscribed to on You Tube! As an old guy doing music, I've been trying hard to get an old fashioned kind of drum sound (for my own kind of melodic 70's rock) and Ableton is good if you buy the additional drum packs. You've helped me to understand a lot more of how drum rack works. Also loved all the stuff on vocals!

      I'm using lite and I have a mk mini, lately I've been struggling to learn how to use my own 808 base notes on the drum rack. Also with looping drums from launch pad.

    I can't tell you how many times throughout me watching this I yelled out "Whaaaaaaat??!!!" 😅 Omg I had NO idea about any of these drum rack features. I thought it was just an mpc style or in general, finger drum pad style virtual instrument.
    I was getting so frustrated trying to figure out how to apply effects to only certain drum samples, and was opening whole new tracks/channels for each individual sample just so I could apply different fx to them separately.
    And as someone that has been producing music in FL Studio for 15 whole years, surrounded by producers and musicians that use Ableton and claim it's the superior DAW, I've been over here dabbling in Ableton on and off for the past decade thinking ppl were full of crap about it being superior cuz I knew what I wanted to make it do but couldn't figure out how and therefore thought it was incapable and inferior 😂 thanks for having the most helpful videos I've been finding!

    I remember I could drag a drum preset from the packs to the session view and play it exactly like the preset and also view the same pattern play in the drum rack. Then I could stack them, combined them and play them all together in the session view, add and remove sounds from the preset using the drum rack in real time. But now in Ableton 12 I can't do this anymore as it was when I was using Ableton 9 or 10. What am I missing? Thanks for the video.

    Excellent tutorial as always, LNA... still can't understand that after all these years and updates, you still cannot "select all" with Drum Rack, such as setting choke group or transposing. You just cannot select all. Maschine's been able to do this since day one. This is one of the many frustrating things I find, about Ableton.

    • @Artersa
      @Artersa 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      To select multiple for a choke (or all), you can select multiple chains within the drum rack and change chokes all at once.
