    Very cool, I'm glad I came across your chanel. I'm starting my very first 15x26 custom pole barn style cottage and noting how to install a drip edge was one of my concerns.
    Your instructions are very helpful.

    Nail a gauge bloock on top of the truss on each end, let them stick out to whatever your overhang will be. Pull a masonry string line from gauge block to gauge block.

    These video-series is the one I'd choose to build my 24x32 pole barn garage; anyone with basic construction experience and common sense can tell that this building is solid and well reinforced. A couple question tho. what is the spacing between posts and trusses? where are you guys located?
    Thanks for posting this Coverage Contractors Team!!.

      Sorry about the late response here. We are located in North Idaho. I have to confirm with Kieth but I believe the pole spacing is 8’

    Is that a 2x12 at the top for the rafters to sit on. My other question is the poles notched for the 2x12 to sit on the poles.I like this build

    What gives your open end any sheer strength? Where interior braces added after?

    • @KoverageContractors
      @KoverageContractors  ปีที่แล้ว

      There is a wall on the back that gives it the needed sheer.

      Wall girts are also what some term is purlins. Different terms for the same thing, just depends if you are on the east or west coast :)

  • @rwg727
    @rwg727 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

    The music makes it hard to hear what you're saying! why don't you use solid posts instead of three 2x 6's? Is it the cost or ?

    • @michaelg4931
      @michaelg4931 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Solid posts have a higher chance of warping/twisting than laminated posts. The individual layers of the laminated post counteract the potential warping/twisting of each other.
