My husband wants to buy a printer and shows me all of your video's😁 I must say, you're fun to watch. I love your laid back attitude and your enthousiasm when you make things and tell about your creations. Keep it up. I'm a fan❤
I have one model that I print for all of my test prints and it works pretty well for me. It's this sweet articulated dragon skeleton thing. My wife hides them all over the house. Love it.
the galaxy is awsome looking. and loved your hand warming up before picking one to open. love the excitment and cant wait to see what you print with them.. you may be able to use some of those colors for new name plates. like the galaxy
I can tell this is your 1st time using BL spools. You need to load your spools first and then just sync from AMS in BS when using Bambu rolls. The RFID tag in the spool will load the appropriate color, type, and remaining filament from the tags.
It would be great if the "remaining" filament was measured in grams. Since it's not I have to weigh each spool if I think it may not be enough to complete a print.
I have that feature turned off bc if you aren't using bambu filaments its pretty annoying having it go through the whole load cycle for each filament, just for it to tell me nothing bc it's not a bambu filament.
When I bought my P1S (with AMS) I got a spool of their green and orange PLA Basic for free, more or less. They ran great. Use it to make a big dual-color poop-chute for the rear of the printer. I also got a spool of PLA Basic in black. It also ran thru and printed fantastic! However, fast-forward by 2 months. I re-ordered 2 spool-less refills for the black, and after using it for ~3 days I was sick of it because it just had issue after issue, even after drying it multiple times. I didn't wanna contact support cus it feels like they always try to blame you for the issues and just give you the run-around. I'll stick to my 3 favorites - Duramic3D, eSun, and Sunlu.
I have given away over 40 articulated dragons and several hundred fidget toys over the last year. The dragons look awesome in the gradiant and galaxy filaments.
PETG is WAY more forgiving when wet than PLA... I've had open rolls of PETG out on the shelf in the open New England damp and humid weather for over a year, and still gets perfect prints from it.
I’m transferring to Bambu filaments cuz the support are 80% easier to remove, sunlu is just a nightmare to remove supports , but if you prints are simple & don’t use supports sunlu is a good option
Idk for me on my a1 mini it doesn’t make a lick of difference what filaments I put through it they all come out perfect, now the same acannot be said for my other printers
Make sure you cold pull after the galaxy filaments, or run some cleaning filament. I’ve had some partial clogs turn into full blown clogs with the glitter in it
That galaxy looks a lot like burnt titanium, its is a really cool color. Now I need to figure out how to get a free box from Bambu. Each one that arrives at my house cost over $100. That sale is finally over and my bank can stop bothering me about the spending limits.
That looked like a fun surprise! We love your videos! We hope your channel and business continue to grow! My wife just got a Bambu A1 combo for her birthday, her first 3d printer. She is wondering what design software you use? Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks for watching! I use Adobe Illustrator and Tinkercad right now for turning 2d designs into 3d, but I'm in the early stages of learning actual 3d modeling using Blender. Hoping to make some beginner modeling content in the future!
Tricks: Keep speed down for BL Silk - they have specific tips on the web but for best results calibrate in Orca. This should fix your CF too. For best top result print the nameplate face down! Eryone does a nice Galaxy filament. Vac bags - don't waste money on eSun bags, Chinese clones work better and can be bigger, so easier to get the spool in/out. No 1 tip for them is to run your finger round the valve after sealing as air bubbles can get trapped under there and leak air in. You can see when you have squeezed it out and it holds the seal much longer. Sync from the AMS. On the X1 you can set the manufacturer in the AMS page of the display and it will be remembered.
Try variable layer height when slicing the pot, make the first layers (with the fillet), lower, like 0.12 or even lower, I think that will fix your issue
Thank you :) I don't normally dry filament right away but I hadn't ever printed with PLA-cf before and wanted to make sure it printed okay for the video lol. I usually dry PETG if it's been open for a while but not PLA, and definitely not right out of the package.
I got black PLA CF with my Bambu, I didn't realize I needed to dry it first and that I needed to change out the print head. How did you know. you needed to change out your head and cutter etc, to print the PLA. This was the first time I hear that was required. Also you mentioned thatthe CArbon Fiber is almost dry. How did you know it was moist to start wit, didn't you just take it out of the box? Did you have something that told you it was moist? Sorry if you covered it in the video and I spaced out. Just send me to that point in the video if yo discussed these items in the video.
I've just read on their website and seen on various facebook groups that it was recommended. The X1 may already have the hardened upgrades but if it doesn't and you're printing a lot of CF you might want to upgrade everything. It may say on the box to dry it right away but I don't remember. I don't normally dry filament out of the box but I wanted to give the CF filament the best shot to be successful since it was for a video. Didn't end up mattering though because the bucket was such a horrible print lol
And the rich just keep getting richer....now you're getting freebies from the manufacturers!? But seriously, you deserve it. You've come a long way in a short time and I say it almost every video...I am so jealous of what you've got going for you! I hope I can someday do 1/10 of that. I wish my Printables upload was more exciting for you to demo. LOL
Printing with carbon fiber filament, you need to go slow, super slow. At least that has worked for me when printing carbon fiber ASA material. Not sure if anyone has said it in the comments. But when printing with anything with sparkle, I suggest to use a hard steel nozzle. The sparkle can take a toll on your brass nozzles. Just my two cents. I have done a lot of printing with sparkle and carbon fiber, so i just leave the steel nozzles in my machine now. They last longer. Great video and keep up the great work.
I don't really do anything special. I use overture PLA which has a nice matte finish. Maybe slow down the top layer speed and reduce max volumetric speed slightly.
Wow, I never dry filament and have never had a problem, when I buy a new filament I just whack it in the printers and hit print, and I don't live in a dry environment.
I have the same problem with makerworld/printable/thingiverse, I hate using filament on things that are not useful. Even the stuff my kids want I feel like ends up broken or untouched in a few days.
I love when Bambu sends boxes like this! When they first sent me my X1C, they included 10 rolls of filament! I'm not sure if you've connected with their social media team, but they are absolutely amazing. Keep up your relationship with any of your contacts, they're a fantastic company!
Next time you change your nozzle, remove your bed so if the screws fall they fall onto the magnetic plate and you don't lose them somewhere in the printer
You will never run a 3D printer business using Bambu lab filament because they are always out of the stock of the colour you will need, went there today for some Red pla to finish a job, no stock, what do I do now?. The last batch of Black PLA I bought went in the bin, fail after fail, did all the cleaning the plate with dish soap, bought a digital indicator to check if my plate was level and it was. tried some sunlu, the cheapest amazon had and that worked a treat, so it must have been the filament that was dodgy. To be honest the bambu filament I have used in the past has been good stuff, but its no good if you cant get it.
So this is what caused the spooled to go out of stock😂 jk. But I did accidentally order the replacement whilst buying my first Bambu printer the A1 and I had to order just the plastic spools for $47.00 and they don’t get here until the 16th so ⏱️⏱️⏱️ ya. I’m sitting here just waiting around.
