Here's what I like about Babish. The other cooking shows are all like "So here's how we do it" but Babish is not the least bit ashamed to say "Here's my numerous attempts at making this dish, watch me suffer" and just upload it to TH-cam.

Watch top chef junior, Gordon is actually very patient and kind, even comforting the kids when they mess up on a few occasions! He just gets angry at adults who are *suppose* to be professionals being stupid/ignoring safety standards/not listening/disrespecting him. Often, all those happen close together if not all at once.

i never thought it was that hard to make. All cake stores seem to have it everytime. But i think the rolling issue nothing to do with ube. Chocolate cakes would also have that issue i think. Maybe it has to do with the sticky components like egg white and flour ratio.

Can't believe it took him multiple times before he thought to roll it inside out. It was my first thought the moment I saw it being peeled. Also, the pre-fold once the cake was cooked was the best way to prevent cracking.
