Well, I tried 4 different bagel recipes, finished shooting at 8pm yesterday and edited all last night - now the episode is live, and I can admit to myself and to the world...those bagels turned out a little small. Maybe go 85 grams on those balls.

If you live in or near London, Beigel Bake on brick lane is literally the best bagel I’ve ever had. Used to live in London, there’s also a really great restaurant called Smoke Stack maybe a 5 minute walk away from them if I remember rightly

I work at a bagel shop here on the east coast and it’s crazy when people who are traveling around visit the shop. They’re always surprised by how big bagels can get and how crunchy they are without toasting them.
Me, a Floridian, just finding out that bagels apparently aren't supposed to have "that weird sweet flavor".
You need to visit Au Bon Pain. That was the biggest takeaway from my visit to Boston for a cousin's wedding - they make better breakfast bagel sandwiches than anything you can find over here.

As a Montrealer here, those bagels look so different! Crazy how the two capitals of the esteemed bagel have barely any resemblance to them hahah. If you could do an episode on Montreal bagels it would be quite the amazing feat !

@@TKZells16 they’re a lot more rustic looking, and the Taste is less crunchy and whatnot. Really they’re a completely different experience. Plus, we generally don’t fill them up most of the time. It’s just bagels and cream cheese. So yummy !
As a Montrealer I am extremely biased, but I think our bagels are far superior to American bagels. They’re too doughy and cake like for my taste

The mixer that my parents have is a red kitchen aid atand mixer that's older than me. I use it regularly, and it runs smoothly. Hell, the metal bowl had to be replaced, but the mixer is fine.

We have a bagel store called Poppyseeds Bagels where I’m from, and it’s a chain hailing from New York. If any of you get a chance, you need to try a bagel from these folks. You will not regret it.

Those bagel sandwiches just look so nice!!! And the way to stretch out the dough into a bagel shape looked very fun.
The best kind of salmon to use for bagels is smoked salmon IMO. The smoky flavour combined with the sweetness of the cream cheese is really an experience. Smoked salmon alone is also delicious. I just really love salmon.
Salmon is Tunas super poor cousin, like the poorest in the family but no one helps it out because it invested poorly and wasted the inheritance it got from an elderly family member.
I had a salmon allergy, luckily it cured over time (i would get some stomach pains, i don't have any seafood allergy)

When tuna, mackerel, kawhai (native to my country look it up), sardines or a fish with a good strong flavour exist I don't see why that shitty, fatty, waste of ocean and river resources is consumed let alone considered high class. It’s super abundant in our oceans, while several species of tuna are overfished. I think it’s a bit more sustainable. Also, I like raw fish as much as the next person, but I’m from NY. I was raised eating lox (gravlax?) and I think it’s super tasty. Believe what you want though!!

Honestly the recipe for the everything bagel seasoning is incredible useful even if you don’t make the actual bagels.
Cool trick: if you don't want to put the sandwich in the oven for the cheese or you don't have an oven, just put it in the microwave for a few seconds. It should melt, pretty similar results!

I actually made this this morning, and lemme say, it's fantastic. Absolutely delicious. I didn't make my own bagels, but I toasted them in butter and followed all the other steps. I went for ham instead of turkey though, and it's absolutely the best breakfast I've ever had

Sibilence is the vocal sound that we hear with that specific example, alliteration and consonance are both present in what we hear and read.
