Great job Mr. Diresta. As a young man I worked at a custom book bindery. They had several mature lady’s that hand bound, and restored, rare and precious book. I use to watch them with admiration for their fine hand work. I swear, you must have been watching these ladies also. Your work is near identical. Thank you for the video and the trip down memory lane.
Priceless work of art! My great grandfather was a book maker in the early 1850s in Scotland. I now have the utmost respect forwhat he did and wish I had one of his. This is truly an art form. The closest I will ever come is wrapping a journal from the dollar tree store with some leather from my old “hippy days” pants! Thank you so much.

That was cool. I worked in the reference library in college. One of my jobs was binding repair. I worked with what we had on hand. It wasn’t conservation work. I was always fascinated with how books were put together. Over the years I read about it and watched some videos. However this is the best quick overall how it’s made kind of video I have ever seen. You always make great videos! Thanks
