I've never really seen any leatherworker cover anything like that on youtube. Your work is inspiring and seeing your products I would love to know how you fix mistakes/ handle them.

I'm healing from a severe electrocution and PTSD/depression from that. I'm having a hard time with using electricity, so leathercraft might keep my hands and mind busy without the fear of getting Zapped!

the leather used for this is stunning, could you advise what it is, i see from some of your other videos you hand work your leathers to get the milling and pull up look, but what tannery or brand of leather is this please?

Question for you. I seen you put on the edge the black marker, but towards the end you cut off about 4mm all around the journal . Then at the end you re-applied the marker. Why exactly did you do that ? Why go through adding it on if your removing it ? Just curious because I’m new to working with leather. Awesome video by the way.

Yea I love the natural sounds of the workshop 🙌🏼 Its actually a chrome tanned leather. It's Autumn harvest from Acadia. Tokonole is the key though for burnishing.

Great video!! Sometimes silence is the best teacher. Is that an Essex or derby hide? Thought it was chrome tanned until you started burnishing.

Why do you use the industrial hair dryer on the glue prior to placing it down? Doesn't that dry the glue?
Ashlee Brown I think it heats the glue, so the glue melts and then you can glue the pieces together
You don't need a massively strong bond for the glue, as it is mad eto hold the leather in place before you stitch it.
