- Inside the Luthier's shop with BigDGuitars.com. Lots of folks asking how to veneer. I am using a korina body I made and adding a large oak flame veneer to it. Using Tightbond cold press glue upgrades a simple korina body into nice veneered top . I then bind the body and clean it up with some sanding
Nice! That press is a beast!
That binding looks great man.
Great info! Thanks BigD!

Wow man, that looks fantastic. You enjoying your new shop?
What if the body has a non flat surface (Ibanez S series body for example). Is there a trick to apply the veneer on such surface?
Is the pump you used very expensive? I saw amazon had one for $50 Thanks
Could you tell me what thickness the veneer is that is used. Thanks, keith
Am wanting to do this with my strat kit guitar :)

Can you do a roundover once the veneer is on and flush?
How would you veneer a schecter s1 elite with abelone binding?

+Tony Temple I have a neat fade coming
How durable can this paper thin veneer be? Why not make it thicker? For a customer to learn about how thin a venner is is so frustrating!
