I like how it turned out earthier and more rustic of a burst than a factory spray burst would be. So many of those, especially the cheaper ones look like this uniform ring around the edge. Not that there's anything wrong with that, but this one has more character. It became a very cool and unique burst. Sometimes imperfection makes it perfect and not so boring in my opinion!

I’ve done two bodies, trying to “follow your lead”. I found it hard to stop yourself from putting on too much stain, but I’m getting it…..by the second one, I can’t even begin to tell you how much I’ve learned. Thanks for these videos, they really are helpful! Cheers from Ann Arbor Michigan

Hello there, Do you know if I have to use the sanding sealer? I’m hoping to just oil it after the dye has dried, hope you don’t mind me asking?
      Thanks in advance

The whole video I was wishing you would touch that brown rag ever so gently into some dark-red, but once the sealer was on it everything ended up looking nice and rich. If you went with an amber tinted top-coat, I bet that'd look like a million-bucks.

From where I'm sitting, I think it looks pretty darn nice. I just picked up a beater that some kid vandalized with deep scratches and am sanding it down to bare wood. I want to try something similar to what you've done here. Thanks for the video.

Thanks for sharing your time and talent. This looks very good, even with those knots. Congrats to the owner as well, on his custom creation. 🔥🎸

Awesome job! Love watching these videos. Just a quick question from a novice because I can’t seem to find the answer online. After you’ve stained the body and given it a couple of coats of sealer - is it possible to then spray a clear nitrocellulose lacquer for a glossy finish? Many thanks 👍

Good and inspiring job. Can I finish with transparent satin paint instead of sanding sealer? Thanks.

With the yellow stain on the Alder it makes it look a bit like Osage Orange wood.

I wonder if this would work on a bass wood body? Any ideas on that?.

Hmm. Could one use the jet black and neutral angelus to thin out the black and almost get a sanded back popped figure look without doing much sanding? Wanna do a sanded back black wine red LP, but it's a veneer and really thin. I don't want to sand through it. Would that work or not, in your opinion?
