This car has gone under my radar for years. I love the fastback roof and the rear of this car the most out of any American car. I've been dreaming up a one off restomod of one of these with the front end off a XB GT Falcon from Australia. No idea how it'd work, but it looks so good in my head and I hope to find out someday.
I absolutely agree, these are the coolest cars ever built in America, there’s lots but these are just special. I love the fastbacks too, the first time I ever seen one of these was in the movie Need for speed 2014 and fell in love them and had to have one. Idk how that would look either, maybe kinda like the mercury cyclone in a way, either way it’d be cool and different. I hope one day you can accomplish that dream. Thanks for commenting and liking the video and the car. Thanks for watching.
Thanks bud, much appreciated. Really cool! Yeah they’re great cars, I love working on it and restoring and customizing it. Glad you enjoy the videos and can kinda relive vicariously through them. Thanks for sharing, and thanks for watching.
Thanks again for another video. I have been meaning to replace my lights . saw the link you provided and noticed only 1 pair of seals left in AMD, scooped it up before someone else did; last thing I want was to be ready and then find it not in stock.
You’re welcome, glad you enjoyed the video. Yeah sometimes these parts are hard to come by for these cars since they’re not as popular as let’s say a mustang or something so you gotta scoop these parts up before they’re gone. Good luck on your install, and thanks for watching.
Looking really good! You are making it more easy for them Chevy 's see them light 's go buy them so they can see the Rd or Ave. 😂 Thanks for the video.
Nice! I did the same thing on my 68 Fairlane 2 door formal roof....i like the fastback taillights too, but love my cars taillights over the 69 ones. They're all cool, but I'm more partial to my car, obviously Lol
Thank you! Very nice car too by the way. Yeah I’d have to agree with you, when it comes to the coupes I like the 68’s better than the 69’s also but I love the fastbacks which are my personal favorite obviously lol. That’s cool man, you should be proud of your car, that’s what’s it’s all about. Thanks for chiming in and sharing. Thanks for watching.
@@1968fordman you’re welcome! Wow so it’s been in the family since new, that’s really cool and rare, she’s a keeper for sure. The 289’s were real good engines, strong. Mine is a 302 but I’m planning on swapping it for a 351c eventually. Something different that they didn’t come with.
No problem, glad you liked and enjoyed the video and was helpful. Cool car by the way, mine are plastic, the original ones were too, by 68 they were starting to enforce more safety standards and that was probably one of the things they started changing. Thanks for sharing and Thanks for watching.

The seals are also from AMD and they’re website says they only have 3 left in stock so might wanna purchase soon if possible. Love what you’re doing with this car, I had a 68 Torino Fastback GT back in the day, miss that car, a lot of memories.

Those 68/69 were awesome looking cars.
Absolutely! My absolute favorite car of all time. Never see them anymore either unfortunately. Thanks for commenting, and thanks for watching.
1000 subs coming up in a month. Congratulations. It looks great.
That would be awesome, thank you!
Much appreciated bud, and thanks for watching as always.

@@FastFords289 thanks! Mine is a 289 v8, c4 auto that my mother bought new. It was her first new car and ended up becoming my first car.

Excellent video, you can place the links of the installed parts.
Thank you! Yeah I guess so, I never really thought about it but I guess I could start doing that. Thanks.
Thank you for watching.
Thanks.
Helpful and informative.
My ol' 66 Fairlane tail lights had real glass for the reverse lenses. Are yours plastic or glass?
