Hi Jim, Thanks for letting us watch your journey. I have a 1968 Torino GT convertible that I bought for $300 when I was 15yo. My dad and I got it running, I daily drove it for 5 years and for the last 35 years I have planned on restoring it with my dad, but with kids, grandkids and life I've never had the time. On Christmas Eve 2021 my dad passed away from covid. After that I began planning out my Torino's restoration and the journey has begun. I'd love to be able to pick your brain if questions arrive and thanks for the inspiration.
First of all you did a beautiful job second of all I love the music throughout the video I’m about ready to start on my 68 fastback I want it the same color as yours but with a white stripe. I like your exhaust with cut outs also what brand cut out did you go with and is that a 3 inch exhaust?
Good job. Too bad you had to use those 1/4 panel pieces. All that work and the quarters look hideous. I did a 1968 twenty years ago and had the same problem. Ruins the whole car when the body lines don't even look close. Nice car tho, I love em!
I had the seats covered local. The rest came from Dearborn and Mac. As for the dash I lucked up and found it in Va. You can"t find a repop dash the don"t make them anymore. There is a place in Pennsylvania that can take your old dash and recover it, it is expensive.

I don't remember the brand name but they came from Jegs. Yes it is 3" stainless steel.
Great
Thanks
