Keeping any coin in a hot wallet like Phantom is not safe. What you’re referring to is using a hardware wallet to store your coins while managing it through the Phantom app. To do this: 1. Open the Phantom wallet in your browser. 2. Go to Settings (≡). 3. Select Add / Connect Wallet. 4. Choose Connect Hardware Wallet and click Continue. 5. Select a chain. 6. Ensure the SOL app is open on your Ledger. 7. Phantom will detect your Ledger accounts That said, I will try to make a video about this process too 👍

Maybe try it again and pay close attention to each step Note: you can initiate a transaction without the the card, but to actually complete the transaction you’ll have to scan. Tangem supports all ERC20 tokens (ETH meme coins) and Solana meme coins. You have to add them manually, but yes they are all supported, including the new ones that are created every second of the day.
I have a question, can I use the bybit exchange to send xrp to tangem wallet and what are the supported exchanges
Yes, you can send crypto to Tangem from any exchange.
@@cyberscrilla okay thank you

Hi I'm trying to send Matic to my tangem from exodus. I have about $300 in matic howevr when I go to send it says I have $0 its confusing because there's a matic (poly) and matic (eth) my amount shows ETH is the address. does this make sense?
do you have to have cell service or the ability to receive text messages or calls on the phone you use with Tangem? I want to use a spare phone (wifi only) that does not have active phone service. Is this OK?
@@PsychiTrip nope, I use one of my sets of cards on a phone with only WiFi (no SIM card) and it works great

While withdrawing from bybit to tangem im getting “change of fee deduction method”
Please note: After selecting the withdrawal fee deduction method, the received amount will vary accordingly due to different deduction methods. Please confirm before making a selection.
Option 1 👇
Fee Deduction Mode
The received amount will equal your entered withdrawal amount.
Withdrawal Amount Entered = Amount Received
Option 2 👇
Deduct Fee from Withdrawal Amount
Withdrawal Amount Entered - Fee = Amount Received
Which should i choose?? Option 1 or 2. Please help.
Thanks 🤝
Just choose one. Most exchanges use method 2. The fee is deducted from your withdrawal, that way you’re not paying extra.
So if you send $100 and the fee is $2, you’ll receive $98. Simple
@@cyberscrilla thanks for the help.

Hi
Can you wire tangem crypto more than what you can transfer ? If so, how to get it to the desired crypto exactly. Thx
I’m sorry, but I don’t understand your question.
So question: I purchased the tangem wallet because its the safe way. How do you deal woth the situation if you want to sell your crypto quickly? If its on a exchange its easy and fast to sell.
Send it back to an exchange (only takes a minute) or sell directly in the Tangem app
Here are some of my profit taking strategies and tips:

I sent some Cronos from Coinbase to my new tangem wallet following your instructions, but it hasn't shown up yet. Been 40 mins. Is that a problem? I can see via the tangem app by clicking on Cronos, then explore transaction history, multi chain info that it says 1 address found via blockscan of the correct amount, but it doesn't show in my wallet. Can I recover it? Did I likely do something wrong. ??

I want to send coin from exchange TO Tangem but I can only receive or swap this coin on Tangem. All other options greyed out. It doesn’t show an actual address though. Pls advise
To send whatever crypto it is to your Tangem wallet, you need to tap the receive button in Tangem for that token, and copy the address.
Then from the exchange, you’ll tap send and paste the Tangem receiving address before confirming the amount you want to send.
The other buttons will remain grey until you have the crypto in your wallet. And in some cases, Tangem might not support buying/selling/swapping of the token. Just depends.
@@cyberscrilla I comprehend. So I'm trying to send HBAR from Coinspot to Tangem because I can't purchase HBAR directly from Tangem. I hit the receive button for HBAR on Tangem. Question: Tangem wallet. In order to recieve USDT using the TRC-20 (TRX) network, do I need to send some amount of TRX to the address before I can recieve the USDT? You know, to activate it.
Had to do that on the Ledger wallet.

I see! Thanks for the info ☺

Exchanges limit transfer amounts- for example Robinhood crypto transfer limit is 5k per day - this makes crypto trading difficult - difficult to convert to cash then back to crypto quickly - any ideas for better trading?
Use a decentralized exchange. There are no limits. Also, centralized exchanges like Kraken have way better limits (hundreds of thousands to millions of dollar)
Robinhood isn’t a crypto exchange.
So is possible to Importe a whole cold wallet in Tangem using seed or its better to create new wallet when switching from cold to hard wallet?
I assume you mean when switching from hot to cold wallet? If so, create a new phrase.
How to keep meme coins in phantom wallet safe with hardware wallet? I just ordered ledger nano x, can u make a video on how to use it with phantom
Keeping any coin in a hot wallet like Phantom is not safe.
What you’re referring to is using a hardware wallet to store your coins while managing it through the Phantom app.
To do this:
1. Open the Phantom wallet in your browser.
2. Go to Settings (≡).
3. Select Add / Connect Wallet.
4. Choose Connect Hardware Wallet and click Continue.
5. Select a chain.
6. Ensure the SOL app is open on your Ledger.
7. Phantom will detect your Ledger accounts
That said, I will try to make a video about this process too 👍

if I want to use tangem wallet to receive usdt, which one do I need to choose in the tangem app, thank you!

@@JesusIsLord1976 are using the same cards (same wallet) or separate?
If you’re using the same cards, just download the app on her phone, scan the cards, and enter your access code and you’re good to go.
You only need to transfer crypto if you’re moving it from one wallet (seed phrase) to another.
However, you might have to manually add the tokens again on her phone in the Tangem app.
For example, say you have Solana and XRP in your app. On her app, tap Manage Tokens, and enable any tokens you have in your wallet.
Then they will appear.
Thank you.
Different cards.

In your Tangem app, tap Ethereum, select send, and tap the QR code icon in the upper right hand corner.
Then scan her QR code, enter the amount of crypto you want to send, hit send, and confirm the transaction by scanning your card.

You’re likely not copying the correct address. Make sure the addresses are on the same network
Is worth buying crypto on tengem or better buy on Coinbase and transfer. Will fees be the same after transfer fees etc?
I USUALLY buy on exchange then transfer to my cold wallet.
@ so you saying it’s cheaper doing that way?
It depends on what crypto you’re buying. Test it for yourself. You can check the prices without confirming the transaction.
So that means if I transfer $5000 from cronos to tangem. I don't need to pay taxes at all?
Simply transferring crypto is NOT a taxable event, correct.
How do I know what crypto network to use for the withdrawal?
Use the same network you bought it on. What network is it currently on? Use that
@@cyberscrilla This question is being asked over and over. We are trying to understand how to find out which one the exchange picks when we purchase the crypto.
Would you recommend tangem for Bovada?
Tangem. Bovada is a hot wallet. Tangem is a cold wallet.
Great video.
How do I pay for the network fees?
Just have the networks native coin in your wallet and when you confirm the transaction it will be taken from your wallet.
For example, if you transact on Ethereum, you’ll need ETH in your wallet to pay the fee.
I love this guy's videos. But I leaned the hard way. Uphold sucks. It really isn't wallet friendly. Sticking with coinbase.
Coinbase is terrible too. Most exchanges are. I definitely would never store any crypto on an exchange. I’ve had better luck with Kraken over Coinbase. I’ll never use Coinbase again. To many frozen accounts and held funds.
what about destination tag ?
@@Consistency0x0 You don’t need a destination tag when sending to a self custodial tag like Tangem. Only when sending to centralized crypto exchanges
I’m a bit worried , tangem isn’t asking me to scan my card when i tried to test send some crypto ? Is this normal , i would’ve thought it would ask you , after all isn’t that the security behind it ?
It will ask you on the very last step. You can’t confirm a transaction without scanning the card, that’s not possible due to its design.
@ yeah that’s what i thought , but it did , though i did scan the card before i even started the process is that the reason ? Also I’ve noticed that I’ve got biometrics on the app turned on is it possible that this is bypassing the card scan ? Thanks for the reply , can’t find anything online about this.
@steveamusic12 no, it’s literally impossible to confirm a transaction unless you scan the card as the key on the card is required to confirm a transaction.
Maybe try it again and pay close attention to each step
Note: you can initiate a transaction without the the card, but to actually complete the transaction you’ll have to scan.
And since you didn’t actually go through with the send, you likely didn’t get to the scan part.
