It’s already supported. Tangem supports Android operating system higher than 6.0. But your phone must have full NFC capability otherwise it will never work
Because it’s not supported. Only certain coins are available to swap. So you’ll need to use an exchange just to swap, or send to a hot wallet like phantom, swap, then send back to Tangem.
You didn't really address the kyc part, as services like changely will need kyc at a certain point. Can you address this in a separate video? When and how
What do you mean? KYC is not required when swapping. Now, if you’re trying to Buy or Sell a token that’s a different story. I cover that process in this video: th-cam.com/video/lBbZrhqktb0/w-d-xo.htmlsi=mLeE0QTmsXzmUfBV
@cyberscrilla ow yes they do for swaps through changely. Swap passing 1 btc requires kyc at changely. The swap is held by them untill done. I already experienced it, did my swap on tangem through changely (not sell or buy, really a swap), and changely held my swap, had to separately contact them, give them the transaction ID and do kyc. Even talked to tangem about it and with changely that they need to state it for their customers clearly, as it's hidden in the changely faqs....
I see. Well for smaller swaps they do not require KYC. It’s up to the exchange who they KYC. I’ve swapped up to $10k without needing to go through KYC. Also, using a DEX is a guaranteed way to avoid KYC altogether 👍
swap usdt (polygon) to matic (polygon), Tangem app required permission to use 1Inch, is this like metamask? if 1Inch get hacked they can drain the tokens that I gave permission previously?
1Inch is a decentralized exchange. It’s safe to use DEXs typically request permission to spend only the amount of tokens you intend to swap. This minimizes risk since the permission is limited to a specific transaction. Because DEXs like 1Inch don’t hold user funds and operate on smart contracts, the risk to users is generally lower even if the exchange itself is compromised.
Assuming you’re using a trusted dex it’s considered safe. However, there’s the risk that you connect your wallet to a malicious website that could compromise your wallet.
The best option is to have 2 wallets. One is your degen wallet you use to swap and mess around with. Your second wallet is a storage only wallet. This ensures the majority of your crypto remains secure and eliminates any potential hacks/scams. I talk about it more in this video: th-cam.com/video/zAytWdIqE1g/w-d-xo.htmlsi=jseofvD3j_Vcf92A P.S. As far as Tangem goes, if you only swap using the Tangem app, there’s no risk of being compromised. ANY wallet hot or cold is susceptible to phishing scams if you’re connecting it to a malicious website.
@@cyberscrillaif you swap within Tangem wallet (without connecting to any external sites), can you still swap any token or is the tokens that you can swap for within Tangem limited to a handful of tokens available??
Correct. The Shiba you have is on the Ethereum blockchain. Therefore you must pay the transaction fee using Ethereum’s native token (ETH). That’s just how it works.
You can swap USDT for TAO in the app. However, TAO to USDT swaps are not available YET. Should be eventually. For now, you’ll need to send your TAO to a centralized exchange if you want to swap it for something else.
Are you sure it didn’t go through? Double check. It’s not an instant process. It can take 30+ minutes Also, that’s such a small transaction. It might not go through if there’s not enough to cover the fees.
Oh I thought you said 8 Kaspa. If you still haven’t received it, contact the exchange used. If you go to Kaspa in your app, tap it, you can see more details about your transactions including he exchange used to do the swap

Hi, I have 105.00 of ethereum in tangem wallet. I tried swapping 5.00 to usdt. Tangem said I didn't have enough eth in my account. I don't understand why it says that if I have over one hundred dollars in ethereum. Can you explain what is happening? Mike
The minimum amount to swap if you’re using Changelly (which I assume you are) is .002 ETH ($5.50). So either increase the amount to over 5.50, or choose a different provider for the swap if available (OKX works great). That said, Ethereum gas fees are currently $11 to swap, so be aware of that too. You’re paying $11 to swap $5…
@cyberscrilla I was doing it within the tangem wallet. I've never done it before. I'm trying to figure it out as I go. Is it possible directly from tangem or do I need to be doing something different?
Yes, I'm talking about the Tangem wallet. Tangem uses third-party providers for swaps, and the default provider is usually Changelly. To clarify, they have a minimum swap amount of 0.002 ETH (around $5.50). The issue you're facing is that you're trying to swap less than this amount. You can also change the swap provider if you'd like. After entering the amount you want to swap, look for the "best price" option below the swap details. Tap that, and you can choose a different provider. The key point here is that there's a minimum swap amount, which is $5.50. However, keep in mind that any transaction on the blockchain requires a network fee. Right now, that fee is around $11. So, swapping $6 while paying an $11 fee doesn’t make much sense.
@@cyberscrilla thanks for the response. I tried it again this time swapping 50.00 it still said I didn't have enough ethereum. Not sure what I'm doing wrong.🤷♂️
It seems like you might be mistakenly trying to swap 5 or 50 ETH. Don't enter "5" or "50" as that's the amount of ETH. Instead, try entering 0.185 ETH, which should equal about $50. Be careful-if you enter "5," you'll see it shows around $13,000 below, indicating you're attempting to swap 5 ETH, which you don't have.
As I explained in the video. Tangem uses third-party exchanges for swaps (and buying and selling). So if those exchanges don’t support the tokens you hold, you can only send/receive them. This, you must use a different exchange (DEX or CEX) to swap/buy/sell
That doesn’t make sense really? A cold storage wallet is simply one that stores your private key offline-which Tangem does. Most cold wallets allow you to swap/buy/sell crypto using the wallet’s software just like Tangem.
Curious from a technical stand point of 3rd party apps in play. I suppose there’s some sort of firewall safety mechanism to not expose the private keys during these convenient swap features.
When you connect your wallet to a DEX, you are granting the DEX permission to interact with your wallet, but your private keys remain stored securely in your wallet and are never exposed to the DEX. That’s why all confirmation signatures occur on the wallet end, not the DEX end.
Yes. But, not all coins are available to swap either. Really just depends. Fortunately Tangem is partnering with more exchanges to provide more options.
@@cyberscrilla i was gonna transfer one of my eth based coins to tangem, half of em was going in fees only. I decided not to. Wont affect you if you whale but for normal investors its a big deal.

th-cam.com/video/lBbZrhqktb0/w-d-xo.htmlsi=mLeE0QTmsXzmUfBV
Yes, you can send from Tangem to any wallet.
Wish I would have seen this yesterday! Haha.. appreciate the tutorial it truly helped... ps. Charge your phone bud
Glad it helped! I literally had to charge it 3 times while making this video 🤣
swap usdt (polygon) to matic (polygon), Tangem app required permission to use 1Inch, is this like metamask? if 1Inch get hacked they can drain the tokens that I gave permission previously?
1Inch is a decentralized exchange. It’s safe to use
DEXs typically request permission to spend only the amount of tokens you intend to swap. This minimizes risk since the permission is limited to a specific transaction.
Because DEXs like 1Inch don’t hold user funds and operate on smart contracts, the risk to users is generally lower even if the exchange itself is compromised.
How secure is swapping coins via DEx? I’m assuming it should be safer than doing via 3rd party like changelly…
Assuming you’re using a trusted dex it’s considered safe.
However, there’s the risk that you connect your wallet to a malicious website that could compromise your wallet.
@@cyberscrilla probably better to get the one key wallet too and swap those unavailable meme coins there…
The best option is to have 2 wallets.
One is your degen wallet you use to swap and mess around with. Your second wallet is a storage only wallet.
This ensures the majority of your crypto remains secure and eliminates any potential hacks/scams.
I talk about it more in this video:
th-cam.com/video/zAytWdIqE1g/w-d-xo.htmlsi=jseofvD3j_Vcf92A
P.S. As far as Tangem goes, if you only swap using the Tangem app, there’s no risk of being compromised.
ANY wallet hot or cold is susceptible to phishing scams if you’re connecting it to a malicious website.
@@cyberscrilla thank u for your answers! Have a good one!
@@cyberscrillaif you swap within Tangem wallet (without connecting to any external sites), can you still swap any token or is the tokens that you can swap for within Tangem limited to a handful of tokens available??
I want to swap Shiba for another crypto but it makes me pay the fees in ETH which is annoying.
Correct. The Shiba you have is on the Ethereum blockchain. Therefore you must pay the transaction fee using Ethereum’s native token (ETH).
That’s just how it works.
@@cyberscrilla yeah I was hoping to use shiba itself to pay the fees but that makes sense.
How come we can’t swap TAO?
You can swap USDT for TAO in the app. However, TAO to USDT swaps are not available YET. Should be eventually.
For now, you’ll need to send your TAO to a centralized exchange if you want to swap it for something else.
I want to ask you. I swap 8.000 kaspa to etherium and it was candeled and my kaspa was gone. Can i do something to return back?
Are you sure it didn’t go through? Double check. It’s not an instant process. It can take 30+ minutes
Also, that’s such a small transaction. It might not go through if there’s not enough to cover the fees.
It was before 2 days. It was 1500$ and i pay 70$ fee
Oh I thought you said 8 Kaspa. If you still haven’t received it, contact the exchange used. If you go to Kaspa in your app, tap it, you can see more details about your transactions including he exchange used to do the swap
I’m so glad we got away from banks and all their fees. 🤬
Hahaha just you wait

Be careful-if you enter "5," you'll see it shows around $13,000 below, indicating you're attempting to swap 5 ETH, which you don't have.
this guy is awesome!
Thanks!
Never mind found it. Already 😊
Glad you found it 👍

Native staking will be available on the Tangem app in the next month or so.

@@cyberscrilla any time man I love the channel
Why are there some coins that I add that only allow you to receive or send? Thoughts. Thank you
As I explained in the video. Tangem uses third-party exchanges for swaps (and buying and selling).
So if those exchanges don’t support the tokens you hold, you can only send/receive them.
This, you must use a different exchange (DEX or CEX) to swap/buy/sell
He explains it in the video
Ya, thanks. I didn't get a chance to delete the question once I realized you were already answering it.😊
Is this tracked ? What if u use vpn
What do you mean tracked? Everything on the blockchain is public data.
How cool...I just sent a comment about swapping within the Tangem app.

Nice information thanks 🙏
Thanks for watching!!
Great job
Thank you Mike!
Even Kaspa?
What is your question?
If you’re wondering whether or not you can swap Kaspa directly in the Tangem app: Yes you can.
These tangem functions are great but it’s functioning like a hot storage instead of a cold storage in my opinion.
Can you swap for coins that aren’t for sale through the tandem app?
Yes. But, not all coins are available to swap either. Really just depends. Fortunately Tangem is partnering with more exchanges to provide more options.
you can not do anything in TON chain
TON was just added to Tangem. I’d expect more support soon
@cyberscrilla yep, but I cant even use it, as I can not connect it to any dapps

Did you already follow the steps in this video? You need to enable KAS on your tokens page first if you haven’t already, via the manage tokens button.
Then, assuming you already have SOL or ETH in your wallet, just press swap and select KAS.
