Gator story.. yeah. Summer 85’. Me, Mark and Dan Trout from Esco-viejo got pinched at Del Mar Fair for attempting to snake some beer mugs from the back of a food vender. @@downwiththemaster Nope! Parole reversed a second time, haha. Would be funny if they just kept granting it and reversing it, getting his hopes up and just crushing his soul over and over, if it wasn't for all the pain it would cause the victims.

I remember first watching that Rise and Fall of Gator documentary something like 15 years ago, and checking to see how long until he'd be released/up for parole. I kept checking every few years after that, cuz I really can't wait to see him step back on a board. I actually thought he was going to get out this year, and I feel kind of bad for him that he didn't, but I also think a few more years couldn't hurt--it's a lot more than his victim will ever get. But I'm ready for his redemption arc
@@geologick If you remember the documentary some other skater was in prison and asked gator if he missed skating and he said no so don't think he's gonna start riding again
Sounds like someone should have tried to take Gator under their wing. I know sometimes certain people can be difficult. That is sad when they don’t want to help themselves or not realizing your truly trying to help them.
Just watched the Gator documentary. Ok skaters are a little bit nuts. A little insane at times. But Gator was just way over the top insane. That happens. He’s serving his time. Maybe one day he will get out. I doubt he will skate again though. Way too much time has passed. I heard he might have had bipolar disorder. More is known about this these days. I don’t expect anyone to forgive his actions. But living with that inside your head. The tormented mind a person has suffering with that disease, disorder isn’t a picnic. I’m sure he’s punishing himself daily for those actions. Over time you have to forgive yourself otherwise you will commit suicide. He’s crazy . He needs to heal. And he took a life. He knows it’s wrong. Because he said he was sorry. He’s not a sociopath. There is a difference.
Gator was the shit in the 80s , cant take that away from him . He must have had the worst attorney in history to still be in prison for second degree murder .I mean this is like 34 years !!
