@sephtical11 I wish skateboarding would've got to see more of this talented young man : th-cam.com/video/KKDZTTbNAZg/w-d-xo.html, th-cam.com/video/Kn7OP0tOyVU/w-d-xo.html May he continue R.ollin' I.n P.aradise🙏
Skated with Omar a couple times, right after his blockhead pro model dropped, and again later at the Dew Tour. After all those years not only was he skateboarding at a level that would make him relevant presently, but of all the legendary icons in the bowl that day, was far and away the sickest. We talked about skating together and he actually remembered that day down to the details. Nicest guy you could ever meet. Some say its best to avoid meeting your heroes because they might dispel your image , but Omar is the exact opposite of that
Im same age and still skate, i can not figure out how he still charges better than the kids and still walk. I hobble around for a week when i fall very hard. Hes a legend 🤘🤘
Omar is a beast of skating 100% with no pads and reaching the potential of being a talent skater to continuing design the graphics from the old classic generation skateboard.
Omar helped relight my fire to skate way more since COVID. Just being the same age as him and seeing him go off has been an inspiration to recapture my limited skateboarding capabilities - being immersed in skateboarding again has really enhanced life and put things in perspective as a lifelong skateboarder. This isn't passed us. There is still so much to put into it and get out of it. I am beyond grateful for him and the stoke he projects and shares. Thank you, Omar!
Omar was the shit when I first stepped on a skateboard. And Omar has been the shit every day since. If any skater deserves a lifetime achievement award its him.
I met Omar back in like 1995. He just randomly showed up at our local indoor park in Stockholm Sweden, in the winter. He was just skating around all alone. Gave me some stickers, nicest pro I've met to date.
I was 16 when he was on skate t.v. in 91' I almost stopped completely because I grew up in Utah and was seen as 'dirty' because of my Arabic, southern Asian background and seeing him at the time was such a huge inspiration. It still means so much to me. As always Big Up Omar Hassan... always a fan!🛹🔥
The first skate magazine I picked up in Australia in probably 1993 (Slam) had a pic of Omar on a mini ramp doing some sort of flipped board stall and I still remember it being the initial spark for me to take up skating and have it as my number one passion for the next 20 or so years. Not skating much these days but the culture, the comradely and everything else that goes along with skateboarding is still with me for eternity. Thank you Omar 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
ye man ,, skate for life, surf if you can ,, im 47 n still lovin it ,,,, all day every day folks ,, thats what we do,,,, or in my case ,,,did, one love omar
I remember meeting Omar Hassan at the Vans skatepark opening at Great Lakes Crossing in Rochester Michigan. It was him and Karma that were shredding around. I was absolutely blown away by their skating, but Omar and karma’s kindness was second to none. Really nice guys and didn’t try to run off if you approached them, they stood there to chat with you until you were the one done with the conversation. I still have my vans 8x10 pages they signed for me at the event. Legends for a reason!
I'm 48 and still rolling. Every time I bitch about something or think I'm "getting to old for this shit", I also think...Omar is out-shredding most of the world right now. Shut up and skate!! Thank you Omar!
Omar rips so hard still. Such an inspiration. I always like the skaters who would skate anything. Cardiel, Omar and Wade Speyer. Omar is still on top killing it! And older than me. Cheers. 🤜🤛
Wow that was some excellent production work there. Thanks Indy, everyone involved, and of course Omar for being a freakin legend and inspiration for a bazillion years.
I here a lot of comments about how gnarly and all-around terrain beast Omar is, but not enough gets said about something that should also be obvious: such great, balanced style! If you want to use an example of how to do a trick *well*, just check out Omar.
GREAT docu!! Omar (BROmar!!) has inspired me for all 3 of these decades in many unique ways and I have to thank y’all for putting together an epic/inspirational nod to the Man the Myth!! Maximum Respect!!!!
Rad video! Mad respect to Omar for ripping all these years. My favorite part of video was him doing the Padless 540 in a pool. Doesn't get any more gnar buckle than that.
Had a centerfold of him doing a pool gap in the 90s in high school on my wall for years. In the time of vert or street 90s there was Omar. So amazing he's still this good and dedicated.
It was years ago. I’m east coast. We went to Virginia Beach for a pro contest. Our first time. We went to trashmore Omar was blasting. He was a runt ripping it. We were stoked !! We met all the pros and had a fucking blast !!!!
it is amazing to me how hard he is still hit'n it!! Heavy falls with bangers cause he does make it happen! And Lances words of many people who say "I could have done a little more". You can always do a little more even if it is just a kickturn! I'm 49 and skate at least 3 days a week. You can too! Don't stop. Keep roll'n!
Dudes head is iconic ffs. Let alone the burl, huck, and outright stoke he's brought to skating. It's also incredible that a burly hesh old skool guy didn't go off the rails on junk or other weirdness. Long live Omar.
No one has gone that hard for that long. Legend.
Tony Alva was killing it b4 Hassan and is still in it
What about Chris miller?
I think he means in terms of a gnarly thrasher type slam or glory type skater. Omar is gnarly. One of the greats.

Goat.
One of my favorite skaters of all time. I remember getting both of his Vans pro models in elementary school that came out in 01-02
I got 12 screws and 2 plates holding my arm together. Did it on an Omar board, bombshell pin-up graphic from 2001.
Dude is gnarliness incarnate.
Been watching Omar do his thing for many years. I believe he is a Hall Of Fame skater without question.🤙🤙⚒️

I gotta say they need to bring a min ramp contest like that back. Side to side to side to spine, can’t believe we have never seen that again

Sick film about a sick ass skater. Inspiring me since the 90s. Dude has one speed. Keep shredding, Omar, thanks for everything
Skateboardings been working 30 something years to get back to where Omar was at 18, now that's a pioneer
I honestly didn't think Omar would make it this long, he's just too gnarly. Eternal respect, LABEL KILLS!
I'm 48 and still rolling. Every time I bitch about something or think I'm "getting to old for this shit", I also think...Omar is out-shredding most of the world right now. Shut up and skate!! Thank you Omar!

Been a fan since the Blockhead days, Omar rules. Blockhead decks were wicked, as was their team.
Omar turned Promar when I was 15 and I'm a grandad now. That's awesome.
Excellent rider and documentary.
Congrats, and thanks!
Omar used to skate my half pipe in Costa Mesa 1990 ! And Paul Schmitt ramp on Center St behind Stater Bros ! Good times !
Dudes head is iconic ffs. Let alone the burl, huck, and outright stoke he's brought to skating.
It's also incredible that a burly hesh old skool guy didn't go off the rails on junk or other weirdness. Long live Omar.
