Sexually assaulted his ex's friend, murdered her after torturing her for hours then put her in his surfboard bag and suffocated her then dumped her body in the desert and didnt confess until someone found her body. He is where he belongs. Imagine how her family feels. Because he decided to take someone else's life
Skysthelimit212 No, I thought he confessed even before anyone knew. He told one of his Christian skateboarding friends for advice and he convinced Gator to confess which he did soon as his friend took him to a nearby police station. What he did was still vile nonetheless.
@@annora1342 my response was to the original comment. But some hikers found her body in 1991 and he confessed later on because he was wracked with guilt. Then he went to his friend who is a christian skateboarder and confessed to him. A train went by and he bolted from his friends house (this is his friends account by the way he actually said this in an episode of Shattered about her murder) but he caught him before he got to his car and said what are you going to do and that's when he went to confess. After those hikers found her skeleton. I wonder if he would have felt the same if she was never found. I have no sympathy for him or what he threw away etc. I read a lot of comments about him because I was curious after the crime doc, and I saw a lot of talk about how he threw his life away and how much it sucked and I'm like this guy got insanely jealous after his break up with his ex. Don’t feel bad for Mark Rogowski. Feel bad for Jessica Burgsten. Who is no longer here. Mark handcuffed Jessica’s legs to a bed. And raped her for three hours. Then beat her with a steering wheel lock. Put her in a surfboard bag. Strangled her while she was inside. Then dumped her body. Feel bad for Jessica’s family who lost her at the age of 22 to an psychopath and rapist. The true definition of a narcissist. Even other skaters said that he wasn’t a nice person. Fast forward to the present. Body language doesn’t lie. All I hear is deflection. No remorse. Or accountability.
He is a classic abuser. He was into power and control before his girlfriend left. Then he couldn't get her, so he tortured and murdered her friend. May he die in prison.

@@fernandomaron87 I guarantee you, he is most likely in much better shape, than most people half his age. Even though people can still get meth, dope and hooch in prison -and he might have dabbled in it in the past, but he doesn't look strung-out (plus, drug debts can get you killed real quick), and also by the way he speaks, I can tell he's probably spent much of his time in recovery type programs; I had some substance abuse issues in the 90s, as Gator did in the years leading up to the rape/murder... Anyway I used to go to AA/NA meetings in the early-mid 2000s, and have a lot of family/friends in recovery, and I can usually pick up on the way people word things, that tells me that they most likely are involved in some type of 12-step program, or some other type of recovery program (plus, being involved with 12-step programs would help his possibly of making parole. He was first eligible back in 2012, but obviously was denied). Anyhow I've had cousins, family members and friends who have done time, and they all came out in much better physical shape than they were in before prison. Working out is more or less 'mandatory.'
He had it all. He lost it all in spades. All this crap went to his head and he already had a serious rage problem. Look at that video of him trying to "street skate.' He thought it was all over. But look what Tony Hawk's videos and the X-Games did for the sport. His alcohol and drug use didn't help. He thought it was all gone and he was washed up. He didn't have the guts to stick around. Instead, he took the life of someone he barely knew to satisfy some rejection issue. As long as Jessica Bergsten's father is alive, I doubt he will see the light of day. He's already had two paroles overridden by Gov. Newsom.
Jessica's dad has underworld ties and is deeply envolved with some dark stuff. Newsom is too much of a cuck to release him and get demonized by the cancel mob as "The man who released Gator Rogowski"

Mark at least came clean and admitted what he had done, he has spent 31 years in prison, and if he ever gets out, he will never have any normalcy in his life. It is often said that the truth always lies somewhere in the middle, he was facing the needle if he didn't straight up confess to Murder 1, and Rape 2nd degree. Those are the facts, should he be set free? that is not for anyone to say here, it's up to the San Diego County Parole Board. I believe he has served his time, and then some. Is he sorry for what he has done?, no one can decide that but himself.
Came clean? Where? He minimizes what he did & made excuses. He even once blamed Jessica. Look up what vile things he said about her & why he killed her. We have every right to judge a homicidal maniac.
He said all this same shit to Brandi and his friends right before he tortured raped and murdered Jessica too.. Hes a narcissist only cares about himself not the stuff hes done to others
"Rehabilitated" really isn't what he's going for here. "In recovery" is what he wants the camera to believe. From his speech, it sounds like he is trying to believe it too. Mental illness is a hard thing to have to deal with. Everyone is born with a different mind, having different strengths and weakness, and everybody experiences different stimuli. Some things we all hope to have experienced before we really get tested is some kind of insight into our shortcomings and the learning of methods to mitigate our natural unhealthy tendencies. Once someone develops beyond a certain point, the best they can do is try to recognize and mitigate the darkened or missing parts of their personality, and proceed with actions that define their life in the most positive way they can manage. It's not the end of the world if Gator gets out of prison or if he spends the remainder of his life there. It would be quite unfortunate, however, for a man as smart as he is to not make use of the recovery program that is obviously being made available to him, as he still must live with himself and (wether he believes in it or not) he is at least serious about acting in a way that aligns him with God.
He does look a lot older and if you all think average 50 year olds look like that then you must lead ruff lifes. He could pass for 60s easily but being locked up for 30 years will age you prematurely.

Everyone deserves forgiveness if they truly want it. When you live on the streets, you know the world is cold, sometimes it makes you snap, but it doesn't make you a monster, it makes you a Human with flaws. All Humans are flawed. @@LilyEmbargo I'm all for reducing sentences and better treatment for people who ARE NOT murderers and sex-offenders. If you're a murderer or rapist, you should not be allowed to walk free because you decided it was OK to try and impose your will onto another person by harming them or killing them.

Until you say You raped , tortured, and murdered another person because you made that choice. You won’t be taking responsibility. I am not against a person believing in god. All I am saying is god or lack of didn’t cause you to commit murder. Religions may preach morals but the ability to see right from wrong and act accordingly is not exclusive to Christianity or any religion. Pray to your god.
Her friend calls him to show her around and he rapes and kills her after hes insane! She lost her life. He lost his career and hes still living. I was just like he deserves to be under the prison for the rest of his life!

I guarantee you, he is most likely in much better shape, than most people half his age.

All I have read here are a bunch of judgements and condemnations from people whom never once seen the inside of a prison cell.
You’d likely have a different opinion if the victim was your wife/girlfriend/mother/sister/daughter/niece/friend. Seriously…think about it.✌️❤️🇨🇦
Anyone know who does the song at the end of the video?....
That’s what I’m here for
I hear excuses, basically trying to say he’s rehabilitated and has a higher power etc.
Exactly, it sounds scripted. Good thing parole boards can see through that for the most part...

Thank you for posting this video! "Gator" was from my era! I remember thinking of him the first time I ever dropped in on a half-pipe, when I was 10-11 years old, rocking some "Vision Streat Wear" shoes!
I can remember when "STOKED: the Rise and Fall of Gator" came out in the early 2000s. I had it on VHS tape, at one time, and I remember, at the time it was made, CA prison system would not allow video of him to be shown in the documentary, but they allowed some audio interview, but over the years, like around 2009/2010, I remember seeing documentaries on the Aryan Brotherhood, the Mexican Mafia, and all kind of CA prison gangs, where they interviewed gang defectors in PC, and a few active members (at least that's what they claimed on TV), who were either shown in "disguise" or only said very vague things about prison life, so I started looking everywhere for footage of Gator, as CA apparently changed their rules on the "no video" thing, so finally, I found a video of Gator! Played the blame game a lot?? Wtf is he talking about?? He's still playing the blame game
I think some of you are confused about which one is Mark "Gator" Rogowski...he isn't the one on the left...talking about remorse, he's the one on the right who keeps referencing his self esteem. He is vain and the only come to Jesus moment that he had were in the first moments of his confession when the guilt was the heaviest. But he's a self absorbed person so he can't stay in that moment of repentance and remorse...it's why he speaks of try to hold on to his self esteem, because he knows no one else has any respect for him now.
Can't believe one of my first proper skateboards was a Gator ramp model back in 1987. SMH.
This is disgusting and total lies on his part. We are all allowed to obtain the multiple parole hearing transcripts. Read for yourselves. He did horrible disgusting things to a young woman because he is evil. He is lying in this video. He was with Brandi. She dumped him and so he took it out on Jessica. Gross. Pure evil.
Where do I find the parole hearing transcripts?
@@MrMathExpert Well I have them so I can email them to you else you can go to the CA Board of Parole and request them, they are free by the way...no charge.
@@MrMathExpert By the way, I love Math!
@@MrMathExpert I wonder if I can post them on here...don't think so
@@maureencox8649 not possible to attach anything here, only way is email.
What prison is this??
Was he wearing a rolex in prison?
Swatch stopped sponsoring him
Yeah, he still has tons of friends who go for visits for him in prison. That's probably a gift from some friend of his.
This stopped being rare once you uploaded it to TH-cam brah
Gator got some Lip Herpes, The Punks must be busting them cheeks
I read that in Big Herc’s voice 🤣🤣
@@punkgrl325 big herc is the man! Lolll
Ask Big Herc about that, foo.
I wish that California DOC allowed videotapes back in 2002, when "Gator" Rogowski was 10 years in, when the "STOKED" documentary came out.
There was a couple of pictures from that time he took that were included in the Stoked documentary, so you can see what he looked like back then..
I used to have a Gator signature skateboard
What happened to it????
Yo what the fuck is this and where do I watch the hole thing
Gator! I wanna see if he’ll skate once he gets out I bet you his mom saved his decks.
I will never understand how someone can kill another person and not think about there family's first maybe narcissistic personally but i also wounderd why they cant have skate parks in prisons? would it hurt?
Probably because inmates might turn the boards into weapons.
Vision was bankrupt, his gf left him, and he was on drugs. I kinda feel sorry for him. Now, no matter how good of a person he is, no one will forgive him.
@The Elder I feel sorry for the victim too Elder.
raping and murdering someone is unforgivable.
My friend's father left, his stepfather beat him for 15 years while his mother ignored it, and he's never murdered or raped anyone. There is zero excuse, gator is just a psychopath. Like any true psychopath he can't take responsibility.
Vision wasn't bankrupt in 1991, but there was talk about Gator being dropped from Vision prior to the murder.
@@JohnDoe-le7ml Damn, maybe that contributed to his downfall. Everything caved in on him all at once.
He still seems very disingenuous and fake. Part of me is pulling for him to get a second chance in life but he really does seem like he's putting on an act here.
His victim has a Swedish surname and that made the shock even stronger to me as a Swede 🇸🇪
20 more years in prison would feel much better.
He’s insane when you hear about what he did can’t believe he’s gonna get out soon scary
