I have the RC10T. I got it in 1992. It's in rough shape. I was going to sell it, but then a buyer said that I should keep it and restore it. Thanks for your video and information on where to get the parts.
Growing up, my Dad raced Tamiya Blackfoots. Later the RC10 came out and they raced those as well. Then the RC10T came out and he raced those as well. I learned on the Blackfoot, and learned to race the RC10. My Dad once entered both the Blackfoot and RC10T into the same race. He qualified for the A-Main in both heats with both trucks. But because he was more familiar and faster with the Blackfoot, he opted to race that one in the A-Main and finished well (2nd, if I recall correctly). He won the B-Main with the RC10T. He also raced RC10L indoors on carpet. We both raced more throughout the years in different classes. Miss those days of RC racing in the 1980s and 1990s.
The stance, that body, everything was so perfect with these! Could never afford one as a kid like many, nice vid! Thanks! Thinking about getting a newer RC10T and get a retro body like that and see if it will fit.
Omg i can remember it like it was yesterday when i got one. I did little bit of racing but more bashing. I had the sickest body i dont recall who made it but it was an h1 hummer designed with race styling. This brings back alot of great memories
I had one I built with my dad around that time. Someone stole it in 2015. Really sucks because I doubt they even wanted it that much and had no idea how much it mattered to me.
Awesome! Only thing it needs is a grille decal (Im sure you know that, though. 😊) I remember having the RC10 Sport Truck (or whatever it was called) with the mechanical speed control, bushings, and gold shocks, then later got a Factory Team RC10GT. If I remember right, mine came with both the full‐sized, and skinny fronts, with the spinners. I always hated the white plastics on these. Everyone I know either dyed them, or swapped them out. Thankfully, most companies switched over to black shortly after.
i loved my RC10T. got it when it first came out but didn't have a body since I messed up my first body trying to paint it like Cliff Letts and his cow cars. I had to wait a month for a new body to come in since the truck was brand new to the market.
good stuff as usual tho i wish the music wasnt always so much louder than the narraion segments i keep having to constantly adjust the volume up and down on these videos
Liked this video, I have many RC10GTs, rebuilt many, I know they are different than the T version but there are also many parts the same. Awesome RC Trucks 👍
Wow a great job on the RC10T. I was hoping you didn’t sand away the B stamp on the chassis. Looking forward to the carbon fiber version. Thanks for sharing. ❤
Great job Ari. The RC10 T is probably my all time favorite rc. The box art looks awesome on this truck. I still drive mine a lot even though I have newer and faster trucks. The 10 T always puts a big smile on my face. Glad to see you finally added one to your collection. 😎
Mine too, I remember when they first came out my buddy got one and I was so jealous. It was head and shoulders above the next at that time, loved that truck
I have an early RC10 that was never put together. It still have the decals, clear body, instructions, box, etc. I was going to use it for parts for another RC10 that I have (for racing), but never did and participated in just a few races in Scottsdale, Az, and put the whole thing away years ago, and forgot about it. I'm going to go through everything in the next several months. I also have the old batteries, charger, electronic speed controller, motors, and the Futaba Servers and Transmitters. Much of what I have is new and has never been used.
Have to agree with the other comment. You can definitely fetch a pretty penny for your AE stuff. Or, you can always donate to the channel for the greater good of the hobby lol.....j/k.....Thanks for the comment and support.
restorations are looking good bro. Truck came out killer. The j-concepts bodies remember too me while new material he is using the original milds. 10t, gt, t2, t3 and a few others were gifted to him from associated. Since he has the means to produce bodies. to associated they were book ends. From one employee friends with. the 10t body was sitting next to a desk in front of Cliffs office. they pulled some bodies. The Jason took over. Which is cool since bodies will fit better. Keep up the great work. Projects are looking good.
Thanks for the comment and support. Real thankful that JConcepts put these bodies out. Wish they would put out more parts for the "T". As a matter of fact, I've been trying to get a hold of the Carbon Fiber Transmission Brace for the "T" for well over a year. Seems like they stopped making it or just haven't got them in stock for well over a year.
Aww darn... I just typed out a novel for all of you, and someone's thumbnail distracted me!!! Noooo! lol Anyway... probably better for all of our sanity! Long story short, I ordered one as fast as I could get my wallet out! My only real "gripe" with it (obviously haven't received it in my hands yet!) is the ad page says it includes ONLY the "outlawed narrow front 3 piece rims and tires"... I'd REALLY prefer mine to have the "standard" size Associated truck front rims and tires. Guess I'll have to dig out a set of 3 piece fronts and buy some more peroxide! ...or I REALLY wish they made them available as well (originally, I could've sworn they were planning to include the parts to build it with EITHER narrow or standard fronts, but I guess that one fell by the wayside...) I understand people think the narrow fronts are cool (I guess they are... but only for their "history" imho.. I don't care for the way they look at all, tbh), but ALL of the 80's, 90's....heck even modern stadium trucks on my shelf have standard width fronts, so I'd rather have this one match the rest. What're you all planning to do with yours? I'm even toying with the idea of saving the etched 60th anniversary chassis from the kit, and replacing it with a purple powder coated one, purple anodized shocks and maybe some purple anodized hardware and bits (I like purple! lol)... This one would be a GREAT starting point for a Cliff Lett tribute, as well (just waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too many of them already, for me to do one. that'd be one good and proper use for the skinny fronts though!) 😎👍 PS... I know it's NOT VERY likely to happen, but I would do some unspeakable acts for a '94 RC10GT re-re!!! Whaddya think, Associated? 😉 I have enough GT shelf queens and boxes... BIG BOXES, FULL of parts to have a runner for every kid in my neighborhood, and I'd still buy as many "new" GTs as I could possibly afford! lol BEST truck ever, imho!
I don't own any nitro/gas powered RC's... but if AE rereleased the RC10GT I'd be excited and most likely purchase one.. As for tires, I like the wider fronts but I'll take what I can get. I just sold almost like new RC10T original front and rear wheels and tires. Wish I had kept them lol... I was thinking about doing a Cliff Lett Paint scheme... I love the RC10T box art but don't want 2 of them... So change it up with the front cow moo.... paint scheme. I think a lot of people will do that one... also swap for powder coating chassis... I like the colored chassis...
I use a magnetic body mounting kit from Protoform. It allows you to position the body and then make the holes. Here is the link... www.racepf.com/accessories/crosshair-body-mounting-kit.asp

Love the channel and your videos! You're bringing back a lot of memories.
Looks awesome. Massive difference.
Great restoration, the RC10T is a great looking rc👌👌
I got this when it first came out in 92. So many memories. Nice to see them still around, a testament to how well made they were.

Absolutely stunning!
Super badass!!!!!!!

So what did you end up painting the second body....?
@@RCRetro just a simple red and blue. the hood and cab was red and the rest blue
Looks phenomenal! Love it🤩
Wow this brings back so many great memories of Christmas 1990. Got my first gold pan RC 10 and my boy got his first RC10T
good stuff as usual

Not sure why.... I lower the volume on my editing software all the way down to 10%. On my talking audio, I lower it down to 35%.. Sorry...IDK????
Wow, awesome 👌
Great job Kev!
I’m converting my two B1’s into a ripper and a shelf queen on the other lower mileage one. Appreciate the hydrogen peroxide trick
Just something nice about a fresh black and white team truck. Looks great, i've been restoring RC10's for about 20 years now
I have to agree. Love the look of the black and white....
quit lying Andrew.
Liked this video, I have many RC10GTs, rebuilt many, I know they are different than the T version but there are also many parts the same.
Awesome RC Trucks 👍
Beautiful restoration! Job well done sir 👍😎
I've got a RC10T5M that I just got together and running.
Just need to paint the body.
Wow a great job on the RC10T. I was hoping you didn’t sand away the B stamp on the chassis. Looking forward to the carbon fiber version. Thanks for sharing. ❤
Thanks for the comment. I'm hoping to get around to that project over the winter. Not sure what I'm going to run in it yet... brushed or brushless....

Hey Ian, hope all is well and thanks for the comment. Glad I was able to get my hands on one and bring it back to all its glory.
Mine too, I remember when they first came out my buddy got one and I was so jealous. It was head and shoulders above the next at that time, loved that truck
Great looking restoration 😊
Beautiful truck. You done a lovely restoration.
Awesome build! Im currently doing a 10T2!
Cool. I don't have one of those. But I have a T3 and T4. Enjoy the restoration and I hope it comes out great.

NOS associated stuff can fetch a good couple bucks, better not break open those bags unless you have a plan!

Looks awesome Ari! You gotta get the headlight stickers put on.
I purposely didn't put them on. I don't like the way it looks. IDK maybe lol... but for right now I like it as is...
Great video! Love the Rc10T and love the channel!
Thanks for the comment and support
Great job 👍
Came out great! nice job
Well, today AE just brought it back out!! Happy days.
Yes indeed. And I pre ordered one.

speaking of... Hey JConcepts... we need MORE white truck wheels! please?!
A while back I featured my friends original rc10T he bought new in 92.. I’d love to have an a or b stamp rc10

@@RCRetro dude you are the best. I never even knew something like that existed! 👍👍👍
You need an arrma ready to assemble Gorgon.
I'll look into it... but most likely not.
lol no
Hi Mr k
Should put links to suppliers in the description.
absolutely. Thanks for the feedback. I"ll put the links up shortly. Thanks,

Hi 👋
i got number 4 from FAnRC
I have old beat up an rc 10t3, how much should i sell it for? (want an rc10t6.6) also first view
depends how beat up it is.... check prices of sales on eBay... that will give you a general idea.
Does anyone know if that jconcepts body could be fit onto a modern 10t
Not sure.. Sorry as I don't dabble in the more modern stuff except for a few on road touring cars....
Sub'd 😊
Thank you
Hello can you send me website on where to get graphite chassie
How many hours?
I worked on this a little at a time over the course of many weeks.
