    Hi Wayne, great trip mate. I know exactly what you mean about having to remind myself to eat. I never "feel" hungry, I only eat when I realise it's been a while and when i want to film preparing my main meal. The numerous camp tasks that need taken care of fill the day. Thanks for sharing mate. Take care 👍

    I know what you mean about being content, the bush is the one place I feel totally at home and at peace. I love everything about a trip, the planning, the packing, camp set up and chores! The only thing I dislike is packing up to leave! lol Good fireside chat, you are right about the gear, think most people have been caught up in the hype at one time or another, myself included. I still have a thing for stoves and agree with your thoughts on the firebox, Steve is the king of good quality stoves. I have both the firebox and the nano and enjoy them greatly, good quality gear. :) We are fortunate to live where we do (I am across the water in Dartmouth) and to have wilderness places so close to the city! Thanks for sharing your overnighter!

      You are so right Jacqueline, we are very lucky to have these places practically in our back yards !!. Thanks so much for taking the time to write such a thoughtful comment !

    Again an Awesome video Wayne. I had got the urge to talk back when you were sitting by your campfire . I know the feeling that I am not feeling hungry when I am outdoors . Most of the times I have only breakfast and diner . Thanks for your effort to film your nice outing :) Greets Martin.

    That is so true about eating. My buddy and I always say if we were on a 3 week canoe trip we would probably starve ourselves for that same reason. You never really feel hungry. Fred

    The Firebox stick stove... I can see why you might like it... but the weight!! I'm guessing 2 to 3 lbs (w/ accessories). There goes any weight savings with that beautiful tent, etc. It's easy to find excellent stick stoves under 1/2 lb these days. To each his own but just saying (-:

    • @highlandtrekker
      @highlandtrekker  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Ya it's 2 pounds....to be honest I'm not really a weight counter but when something works that's what counts to me. Thanks so much for taking the time to comment, I really appreciate the support !
