- Hey party people! Thanks so much for hanging out with me while I share with you this new around the house happenings! Let's get it all done, yes! I made some food, shares some A+ recipes, and got a lot of cleaning done around the house to kind of re-set the house for the weekend! did some mom life things and felt really good to get some stuff done and also at the end felt like I had barely done anything haha! I hope we can get some stuff done around the house together today1.

Saw her at a drag race several years ago. She did a small concert there. My husband and I and our three children had passes to meet her in her trailer. She was very unfriendly and I haven't thought much of her since.

I used to wash sheets every two weeks and felt guilty about it. Since watching your videos the sheets get washed ONCE A MONTH and I don't feel guilty about it :)

For Meredith’s closet, put dresser in bedroom and get a 6 cubby holed unit from Walmart with cloth or clear bins and label. She’s old enough to read what goes in what bin and you’ll have that much more storage.😉
I'm right there with ya! I've only had 5 years compared to your 13. My youngest is 18 months and my oldest is 5 1/2 and I'm getting hints of what it will be like not having a little need me so much. It's so nice but so bittersweet. Anytime I think I can't do something or I get stressed I think WWKD. What would Kim do, haha. You've got 5 kids, a large house, your a party hoster, and so much more! Your an inspiration to keep going and power through it. I've learned so much from your videos and grown so much in the past 5 years watching you, thank you. It has seriously made me a better mama.
Hey Kim. I keep meaning to mention this tip. When you're cooking corn on the cob, you don't need to cook it for as long as you may think. If you put your corn in when the water is cold: bring it to a boil and boil for 3 minutes. No, really, just 3 minutes. If you toss the corn in the boiling water: bring the water back to a boil and boil for 5 minutes. That's it, crisp, tender corn that needs nothing on it. It's much healthier than boiling all the goodness out. Love your posts!

Looked at the state of my house and said “c’est la vie” as I walked out the door. Thrifting and lunch with a friend took priority. Now I have to clean and put away all my goodies… ohs well!!! C’est la vie😂

i hate doing laundry!!!!Twice in my life I've had a washing machine lose its boot and flood my house!!!Always happy when its over!!!!You make me realize how lucky i was my daughter cleaned her own room after the age of 5!!!I thanked her today she is 45! Oh and a doctor!!!

Hi Kim, mom of 5 here also, and our kids are all around the same age. I just love how you keep it so real! Love your positive attitude to mom-life. FYI I also remember the shift when I started leaving dirty dishes in the sink:) Also love the 90s kids references (Full House anyone?) Love watching you when I'm folding the bottomless pit that is my laundry.
My 6 year old twins just watched full house and loved it ❤
I actually prefer the chaos of being busy with my kids. On the times we don't have an event or something to do I don't know what to do with myself. 😂

Yes the choas is quite hard & you work at it, & it is nice when it's not there no more ,but you miss it too!. But you get use to it by the time your older 60's, 70's. I do remember that I didn't know what to do! I remember when we weren't watching Sesame Street. It just kind of all of sudden I realized it! It had been going on for a while, but they were old enough to go play with friends or some sports! They did their own thing! It was one of those things that happened that you don't realize at first! So I totally understand! That's why I do my crafting, scrapbooking, sewing, knitting & crochet! By the time Wolfgang is 18yrs you might be a grandma & You'll just do the same things to help with your grandchildren! You'll be an awesome grandma & busy! Love your videos. Thanks for sharing! As a stay at home mom, I prep for the weekend. I want my home to be as clean and calm as possible for our family time together. It is so calming to not be doing house work (other then the daily stuff lol) when we are trying to spend with with husband/dad. So I started getting all our cleaning done on Thursday and then prepping for the weekend on Friday.

If you see your chickens in the sand digging a little nest in the sandy dirt, they are not for nesting,this is how the chicken bathes. It keeps the bugs off of them. Just a little FYI.😊 Love your show... especially when you go thrifting. I see soo much stuff I feel that I need...not really, just want because its such a good deal. Lol

If you spray your oven spray the racks too. If you just scrub your oven, its easier to put the racks through the dishwasher cause it softens the baked on stuff & makes it easier to clean

Good morning/Afternoon, I have easy banana cream pie that always a hit. I use one banana or vanilla Jello pudding and one cream cheese pudding with vanilla wafflers and about a banana each layer in a 9 by 13.
That banana pudding is by far the best! My fam loved it❤

I love that you are so excited. about summer when I am so looking forward to winter , here in Western Australia we have had 6 months without any rain, everything is dry and brown, oh for some rain and anything under 30 deg c. Our winters are very mild can't wait. By the way in Eastern Australia it has been raining so much they are having floods. I love your posts.
I agree Martina McBride, is the best song, love it. I take Fridays to reset for the weekend so everything is picked up, it just feels good before the weekend so we can relax and enjoy the time together.

I make a banana pudding similar to the Joanna Gaines recipe. I've been making it for years. I perfectly layer my bananas and cookies on top of each other and never overcrowd for a more even bite. I tried with the Chessman cookies and they get too soggy for us. I've also made this recipe with 1/4 of the dish banana free for those who don't enjoy bananas 😅

The one thing I do differently with the banana pudding is I use banana cream pudding instead of vanilla. Makes it 100% better.

My son-in-law calls banana pudding his kryptonite. I use banana flavored pudding. I do not mix it with the whipped topping, yeah, cool whip. It adds another layer of color to the bowl. My children are all married, but one calls and asked what I’m doing and where I am, so I know she needs me to do something for her. It could be that she only calls if she needs me to do something, but I am fine with that.

Call me crazy, but i can't sleep with a flat sheet over me, and i can't have my blanket tucked in, i get claustrophobic lol. I have the multiplying progressive MS, and if my temperature changes by one degree, i either am freezing, or burning up, so i hate my feet to be covered. I guess it's a good thing I'm single, or I'd probably drive him crazy. I don't wash my sheet once a week either, but that's all good, and i know you don't care, like i don't care. G-d bless you and your family.

Chickens love pumpkin. Just break it open, and they will eat it all but the skin. Also, when you're fixing your melons, give the skins to the chickens. I'm in South Carolina, so when it's hot, I freeze them and give it to them. They love it. Also, the pumpkin is a natural deformer, so great for the girls.

We have a “fancy” silverware drawer like yours and I find it if I load the forks on their sides so they fit inside one another they will fit better! We kept having issues with them poking over the top also until we did that. The bottom of it is basically useless. We store our reusable straws in there.

I find that cooking the chicken or meat for fajitas you cook it whole then chop and add to cooking veggies. It's extra work but you get the caramelize look and flavor.
Yes, next time myself also, get the top drawer(usually a cutlery drawer) at least an inch deeper. Mistake over here also. I call them presentation drawers! Hehe
Kim, if you don't like bananas in your banana pudding, try subbing drained crushed pineapple, which is what I do in the summer months because the bananas turn so fast. Enjoy!!!
