Naan bread recipe!!! * 1 tsp sugar * 1/4 oz active dry yeast (2 1/4 tsp) * 1/2 cup warm water * 1/2 cup of sour cream or plain yogurt (either on works well) *2 1/4 cups of flour (bread four works best. I’ve also used gluten free bread mix and it worked) * 1 tbsp oil * 1/2 tsp salt Mix all ingredients together and let dough rise for 1 hour. Comes out to between 550g to 600 g of dough that I split into 6 pieces. Roll out flat and cook on both sides in a cast iron pan until bubbly and lightly toasted. Delicious!!!
I had broke my glass bowl for my kitchenaid and called their customer service and they sent me a new one. It wasnt free but it was definitely reasonable. Comes with the nice lid for it to!
When you're out of eggs next time, you can always make a chia/flax egg with a tbsp of either chia or flax and 3 tbsp of water and then let it it sit for like 2 minutes to get gooey. I had to do this as an emergency recently in my banana bread recipe and it honesty tasted no different - maybe even better. Love your videos Kim! Been watching them for years!

I love the reusable zip top bags but the disposable ones are FANTASTIC for freezing foods flat in the freezer…soups, sauces, anything more liquid is great in those bags and freeze wonderfully 😊

Kim u need the expandable can stair storage things for your can shelf. U can see your canned goods so much better. They organize them very nicely. I got mine at Target. Love them.

You are so genuine and very entertaining - in a funny good way :) I'm guessing that the reason you have more trouble keeping potatoes, onions and garlic from spoiling at room temperature is because you live in a more humid climate. I live in a very dry (almost desert) climate and don't have much of a problem with that. Also, I read that your potatoes and onions should not be next to each other because the potatoes will take on the moisture of the onions. I keep mine in separate cupboards but with your large pantry you could probably just keep them on opposite sides of the pantry. Anyway, just a thought........ Have a great day!

I bought one of those wooden ziplock baggie holders and it didn’t fit my “freezer” bags. I only spent $36ish on it and sold it for $25 on FB marketplace I bought a set of clear bins on Amazon and just lay the bundle of baggies in the bin. I used museum putty to keep them from sliding. And I LOVE my IKEA baggies!!!!!!!! We live about an hour from a store and I go twice a year just to stock up on those. The most perfect sizes for sure and it looks (by your selection) like they have a smaller size than the peach and red box now???? I’m going soon!!

An easy way to mix up the almond butter it to put one mixer on your hand mixer and just mix it up right in the jar! I use that same method for my Smucker's natural peanut butter.

Well Kim, you got lots of things done...I got nothing done except watching one of my favorite people do her chores. My Mom always baked Zucchini Bread from her garden. She made Carrot cake, banana bread I used to do it too. Only me now so I don't bake anything anymore. I want to but who would eat it? My son's probably would. I don't have the room to freeze it. I use a butter knife to mix the oily kind of almond and peanut butter, it seems to work better then a spoon. Also I saved $50 not buying the zip lock bag storage thing for the drawer. Love what you did with the drawer. I didn’t know IKEA had zip lock bags🤯🧡thank you for a great video!

Do you know the egg spinning trick to find out if egg is raw or boiled? Boiled spins evenly and well; raw wobbles. Also when out of eggs, I make flax seed or chia seed eggs; it’s how vegans do eggs, so it is lacking a bit, but it gets the consistency / binding power you need.

Kim! I know you are not a walmart person but they stock the glass mixer bowls for cheaper. Both sizes @ $49.99 and walmart claims 2 Tampa locations have it in stock so food for thought (or it'll ship from Walmart direct - not a 3rd party listing.) It does NOT come with the lid, but it'd a $25 savings.
For the almond butter or any natural nut butter that’s hard & oily, throw it in your mixer and whip it together! The oil & “butter” will stay mixed when you put it back in the container :)

I put a single beater on my hand mixer to combine the oil and the nut butter. It works best if you store the nut butter upside down before you mix.

Try storing the almond butter upside down so the oil doesn't settle to the bottom, making it less " chunky" then a gentle stir usually works🙂

if you have an immersion blender, it works wonders for the almond butter.
I store all my nut butters upside down!! I put a paper towel underneath just in case. Life changing.

Lay any of your nut butters on the side in your jars. Spin them quite a few times and it tends to mix everything🌪🌪

Do you know the egg spinning trick to find out if egg is raw or boiled? Boiled spins evenly and well; raw wobbles.
Also when out of eggs, I make flax seed or chia seed eggs; it’s how vegans do eggs, so it is lacking a bit, but it gets the consistency / binding power you need.

A great banana hack: use 1 egg per each banana-mix, don’t measure lol just add enough flour to achieve pancake consistency and also a pinch of salt and about a teaspoon baking powder that’s it. Maybe a splash of vanilla. Simple easy and yummy!

For the almond butter or any natural nut butter that’s hard & oily, throw it in your mixer and whip it together! The oil & “butter” will stay mixed when you put it back in the container :)
