I have learned to love Aldi. My food budget is $40 a week for me and my two kids, so Aldi has been amazing! Also such a small store is amaaazing for shopping experience. :) Love your videos!
@@coupontherapy2635 My kids are 11 and 13. We pretty much just eat tuna, eggs, veggies that are the cheapest, pasta, pb and j. I have also taken to fasting some days to make it stretch.
LOVE Aldi's. Best place for my coffee creamer/half and half, eggs are still 1.88 at mine, chips, bread, scallions and cilantro, prime rib at Christmas, I could go on. Of course you can't get everything (depends on what you're looking for especially if you HAVE to HAVE name brand, because I think I'm 95% Aldi) but I have never just shopped at one store. Always look at the store flyers for sales. Their store brand stuff is great. Never had an issue. Tastes even better when I look at Oreos 5.99 and Aldi brand 3.19. (and if you don't like it, you can take it back-twice as nice guarantee- love that for me) *Not an add, just a 20 year Aldi shopper.
Hey, Kim! When you use the rotary grater, it works better when the cheese is fresh from the fridge. When the cheese is room temp it is softer and gums up the blade, if you don't keep the center cleared out. I saw this on Amy Maryon's channel and got myself one and saw one of your videos before you bought the Kitchenaid shredder and thought you could use this. It is fun and shredding carrots, etc. is a breeze. And I hoped with 3 pairs of kitchen shears, you'd at least have one pair to use on hand. Love ya! Thanks for bringing a little happy to my day! 😊
Hi Kim! I have been thinking about what I think are cultural differences when it comes to cutting up fruit and preparing snacks for the kids. I am Swedish, born and raised, and no one ever made me an afternoon snack. I would walk home from school from the age of six, make myself an open sandwich and maybe eat an apple, orange or some other fruit. My mom was actually a SAHM, which is not very common in Sweden, but I would still make my own after school snack. Fruit was kept whole until you decided to eat it, then you would just wash it and eat it, holding it in your hand, taking bites, and that is still the way we do it. The kids started cutting up watermelon independently as soon as they were strong enough to do it. And, they have never, I say never, cut themselves. Our kids have been making their own snacks pretty much themselves from around the same age as I did. Oh, and a tip for the kiwi: just cut it in half without peeling it (or encourage them to do it themselves, mine did from the age of three) and let the kids grab a spoon, cupping their hand around the half fruit, to eat it. Yeah, I sound totally obnoxious, but I do not mean to. I just meant to tell a little tidbit about the Swedish way😁
Omgosh just like my home. Everyone walking by and over the dishcloth. Only person that picks it up is mom. lol. I don’t feel alone. Love your videos. You make my day.
Hey Kim, I got those little golden and red potatoes. Slice them in half. Next slice 2/3rds thru the potatoes, both ways, so it resembles a tic tac toe board. Melt 1/2 stick of butter. Pour in bakin̈g dish, add garlic, herbs, salt and pepper. Mix. Then freshly shredded parmesan cheese into pan. Then put potatoes cut side on top of cheese and mix. Bake 350 for 25 to 30 minutes. I make chicken coated in panko bread crumbs and parmesan cheese. Put in toaster oven for 25 minutes. And whatever fresh veggies! Very tasty.
Me too! I live in southern CA and we have two ALDIs in my city at either end. I do the bulk of my shopping there and I’m able to fill my entire cart for under $100 and not with junk, tons of real food that my family loves 😍👏🏻 ❤
Me too! Aldi is totally different than how it was a decade ago. They have organic, they have super clean ingredient products for lower cost. I love Costco too but I mainly shop at Aldi and only $100 my max limit at Costco because we would be broke otherwise lol Costco is dangerous
Loved the up-speed with you all in the kitchen putting groceries away. That’s a big job. Plus you filmed it all for us. Thank you, Kim. Now go enjoy the fruits of all your labor 👍 Till next time ❤

Aldi near me has a brand new location that’s amazing! But there’s another run down location like 10 miles from there, so I totally understand what you mean. You just gotta find a good one! The prices are truly unbeatable! I always get my produce from them!
I’d be interested to see your taste test. I have found that most of the products do taste like the brand names but we’ll see. I only shopped there maybe once a month. But they do have good prices.
When I buy bacon, I fry it up right away, then freeze it and it’s a lot cheaper than buying already cooked. It takes about 20 minutes, which is worth it to me.
Nice haul! I do feel like some of the Aldi brand foods taste weird. I love the butter, organic soy milk and cashews and a few other things, but it’s definitely a novelty! Publix is awesome for produce, bogos and subs but those prices are up there - but shopping really is a pleasure there, also $5 Sushi on Wednesday!!!
Great grocery video!! loved that you added another grocery store. I’m really not that crazy about Aldi but I can tolerate it and so next time just add one more grocery store every time you shop. You are the best!
I loved making Ramen on the stove. I boil the water boil the noodles and strain out excess water to your desire when noodles are done. Put back on low add milk and sause packet and frozen vegetables.
I love Aldi and Trader joes.... FYI did you know they are owned by the same company. They were originally owed by two brothers. It started with their parents. During WWII when people had ration stamps, the parents did a non perishable food truck that went to the people so everyone could buy food to feed their families. And it started in Germany. Hope this info was interesting to you.
My grandfather hates any size or kind of chunk in his salsa so he just uses a blender to blend the chunks out. Something you could do to make the chunky salsa less chunky if you run out of the normal stuff before you make chili!
The timing is perfect for me . Making our meal plan and grocery list to go Aldi,Costco and Stater Bros (our local supermarket) in a couple days 😃 got a few ideas from you 🤍 I don’t eat breakfast. But my littles do and I make a month of pancakes and waffles in a few flavors, mini muffins too for the freezer. Other things like , Overnight oats, yogurt, granola, fresh or frozen fruit, weekends I usually cook eggs and bacon or frittata .
Good morning Kim, my son and his girlfriend shop weekly at Aldi’s they love it. The only thing I buy from there is their loaves of bread. I can buy 3 loaves for the price I buy at the grocery store. Our Aldi’s is packed everyday. Everyone loves the “aisle of sham.” Lol. Have a great weekend.
The first and only time I have been able to go to Aldi was in 2017 in Kissimmee. I loved it hoping to get there again next year when we are in Florida again. I have since found an Aldi store just 3 hrs away across the border from where we live. Really hoping to get there before going to Florida.
Kim…my Aldi is 10 miles away….so no I don’t go there… you do sourdough…so I’d like to see you do sourdough pizza….looks easy on Utube…& cheaper if ya already have sourdough!! Love y’all! Have a fun summer!!!😊
Love your videos and your family. It reminds me of my house. Chaos and love always!! lol I used to do Ramen sometimes too. A can of chicken, 6 pkgs of ramen, bag of frozen corn, canned green beans, frozen broccoli in a pot. Cook for 10 minutes to meld together and cook the ramen and it's a great meal for my gang. Very quick and a little healthy (besides the ramen lol) and my kids (all of them) would eat it all down quickly. It was always a great last minute meal that was always my back up meal. lol Love how your family works together to get the job done. Awesome parenting!!!
I go to Aldi every Wednesday because that's when they stock the new Aldi Finds. I do my big shopping trip once every 3 or 4 weeks though. It's just my husband and I in the house so we don't need a lot.
I feel like Aldi is not the store where you go for Monthly groceries... It's the after-groceries grocery store... where you complete your list 2 weeks later or top up your produce. I think though they have the Best Vegetables! Fresh, Crunchy, Yum
You're right, it's the store I go to weekly, sometimes bi-weekly if I'm lucky for the bulk of my groceries. There's so much rich entitlement in these comments hating on Aldi. They have quality foods at affordable prices! But keep going to your expensive grocery store.
@@katiec3214 there's also another German store called Lidl where I go to mainly for my kids' snacks knock-offs. They have a really good selection and unbeatable prices. But I still need my Main grocery store for Foods that are varied and staples. Lidl & Aldi don't have everything.
@@nadinekore6308 I go to Aldi weekly, Costco every 2-3 months and a local grocery store called Woodmans every 2 weeks/1 month. Aldi absolutely has staples. But I'm an ingredient household I suppose overall.
I love Aldi. But the thing is I can rarely get everything I need just from there. I pretty much always end up having to run to another grocery store to get the last 2-3 items I need, if I have a small list that day. But there are staples that I go just to Aldi for.
Okay I haven't made it to the Aldi haul yet but I recently bought the organic blue corn tortilla chips (they were on sale for $1.89 yes please). Anyway, my new favorite! Tortilla chips are so salty for me and these were perfectly seasoned and I loved the texture of the chips (lolol). Also, if you can find the Aldi roasted salsa verde, LOAD UP. It's so good. I make a salsa verde chicken soup with chicken stock, poblano peppers, onions, garlic, a jar of the aldi roasted salsa verde, and some shredded chicken breast that i cook in the chicken stock.. anyway, five stars, do recommend.
Kim where did you find your salt and pepper container? Those firecracker IV is awesome according to my husband! I’m not a huge fan! Now the white peach is wonderful!
I have been seeing several reels of people shopping at Aldi for their weekly dinners and they typically pay from 60-100!! I’m like I need that!! And they will show what they bought and a recipe. I need that too! My nearest Aldi is over an hour away and we went to one for the fist time 2 weeks ago. I got a little bit of stuff to try and I have to say their jarred spaghetti and Alfredo sauces are great. Better that others I’ve tried. And I don’t care for jarred Alfredo sauce. I would have loved to have bought some frozen items and meats but with this heat I don’t know if it would keep on the drive home
If you go back to aldi, our favorites are- white cheddar puffs like 2$, rice mini cakes, extra cheddar turtle crackers, chicken sausage, frozen veggies are cheap, granola bars, Dino nuggets, free clear aldi brand dryer sheets
I shop at Aldi once a week but I stay away from the temptation aisles a.k.a the seasonal aisles Lol, too many fun things I'm tempted to get but definitely don't need
Hi Kim! 🙋🏻♀️ I love that you can meal prep for your whole family! I just have a question, how do you get the little ones to eat/try new foods? I have a 4 year old and I have to make him a separate “meal” which ends up being the frozen foods (chicken nuggets, pizza, etc.) so the mom guilt gets me 😖 It’s so hard getting him to try anything we make for dinner. Any advice you have, please!
Yes! Love black licorice too! My husband just came back from Iceland and brought chocolate covered black licorice and salted black licorice. Chocolate covered licorice is amazing! The salted black licorice is intense! VERY salty and the salt kind of burns your tongue, but it contrasts really well with the licorice.
Always enjoy your supermarket hauls, Kim! Like you, I prefer Trader Joe’s to Aldi’s. Love how the kids and Alex were helping you put groceries away. It’s all about Teamwork!!!
Aldi is wonderful. Their brand of items are just as good as named brand and so much cheaper. Yes, the aisle of shame is random. Thats the fun of it, never know what youll get.
Kim! I recently discovered the Walgreens Whey Chocolate protein. It blends great and is ACTUALLY affordable. I compared the ingredients and protein amounts and it meets my needs. Maybe Alex would be up for trying the Walgreens brand that is a third the cost? Just thought I'd share with you friend as I enjoy it myself. 🤞❤️ Also Mexican food is life. 🥰
I did a multiple store grocery trip yesterday. You, lady across the room, are so much more joyous while you do it. 😂 Also for those sweet kiwi loving kiddos…I finally started peeling them with a vegetable peeler for my girls. Most fruit left over and I think it’s faster for me too!
Have a wonderful rest of your day. Aldi in NC has good potatoes and some of their store brands are quite good but I agree on name brand can veggies. The name brand it much better
Aldi is fantastic for families who need to shop based on a budget rather than whatever meals look good to make.
LOVE ALDI so much!!
Absolutely!
I love Aldi! $85 for a cart full of groceries and delicious produce -🎉❤👏🏻😍

I have a 4 year old and I have to make him a separate “meal” which ends up being the frozen foods (chicken nuggets, pizza, etc.) so the mom guilt gets me 😖 It’s so hard getting him to try anything we make for dinner. Any advice you have, please!
Don’t like raw meat but black licorice is the best! 🙌🏼 🖤🖤🖤
Agree!
Yes! Love black licorice too! My husband just came back from Iceland and brought chocolate covered black licorice and salted black licorice. Chocolate covered licorice is amazing! The salted black licorice is intense! VERY salty and the salt kind of burns your tongue, but it contrasts really well with the licorice.
ILove pace also reminded me of chilis chips and salsa!!! So good
Always enjoy your supermarket hauls, Kim! Like you, I prefer Trader Joe’s to Aldi’s. Love how the kids and Alex were helping you put groceries away. It’s all about Teamwork!!!
I enjoy shopping it’s fun
Aldi’s canned tomatoes (all kinds) and canned sliced carrots are delicious.
Love Aldi and we just heard we are getting a Costco in Pensacola Florida. I need a bigger pantry! Have a great day.
Love Aldi's. I will buy 70 percent of my food there and love the odds and ends that they have there.i actually have always liked black licorice.
i love aldi its my favorite place to grocery shopping.
Hey Kim, I liked the Kirkland Starbucks Egg Bite dupes...I thought they tasted exactly the same.
Wow! Your AOS is way more stocked than mine! Nice nice nice 😊❤
That soup looks so delicious 😋 I need to go make that! Yum
Aldi is wonderful. Their brand of items are just as good as named brand and so much cheaper. Yes, the aisle of shame is random. Thats the fun of it, never know what youll get.
The Reese's dipped animal cookies! SOOOOO good!
Good morning and happy Thursday enjoying your shopping 🛒 vlog
Love your recipe cards/sheets! The layout is sooo appetizing. What website do you use?
Where do you get your recipes and how do you do your binder?
I bought Pace at Costco today. It was on sale. I had not had in a long time. It was so good.
I forgot I bought that licorice and but it in the cupboard !! I need to go get it!!!
I did a multiple store grocery trip yesterday. You, lady across the room, are so much more joyous while you do it. 😂
Also for those sweet kiwi loving kiddos…I finally started peeling them with a vegetable peeler for my girls. Most fruit left over and I think it’s faster for me too!
Have a wonderful rest of your day. Aldi in NC has good potatoes and some of their store brands are quite good but I agree on name brand can veggies. The name brand it much better
