I love when a band just totally blows your mind and makes you rethink what is possible, what music can be and how there truly are no limits. So glad to have found these guys and can’t wait to see them live!
I had no idea I was in for a journey. This is beautiful and wow what perfect timing to settle the restless soul from this week's trauma. I adore everything here. It's the music I do too and here I thought I was alone in lapsteel ambient land.
These songs brought out tears of fear, joy, and beautiful sadness for me...pure music. Kinda of like driving in the Arizona desert...alone... during twilight. A friend once described to me a pedal steel guitar as "Ghosts on Strings" :) This set echoes moments when I was once obsessed with listening to Apollo: Soundtracks by Brian ENO/Daniel LANOIS & Roger ENO...similiar vibes...but SUSS are definitely doing their own genuine thing. BRAVO GENTS!
I usually don’t comment on music posted online, but felt compelled to respond to the ultracrepidarian derogatory commenter. It’s nice to see-hear something that’s NOT entitled twenty somethings obsessed about image and social media generated popularity focused on conformity, pretending to play good music that’s just a cheap knock off of what someone convinced them sounds good. The deep, rich textures and sonic envelopment of these cats who aren’t confused about their gender identities is truly refreshing. In a culture that seemingly worships youth, physical beauty, and personal displays of wealth, this is a breath of fresh cool air in a sweltering methane gas filled desert. Bravo KEXP!
Pretentious? Moi? talking of people offering an opinion without knowing what the F**k they are talking about, this is economy class Jordan Petersonesque Bull, entitled this, gender that, you do have the right to an opinion, just leave your bullshit at the door, cultures have always worshipped youth and beauty and wealth, probably always will and anyway, who the hell appointed you the arbiter of good and bad in art? comments pls, can't wait for the soporific word salad response.
Excellent performance; if you like music like this, you should also check out Calexico, Japancakes, Richard Buckner, and Earth, all of whom have played with varying percentages of ambient/drone/country in their music.
At the start I was thinking they all start with beautiful ambient intros but soon tumble into heavy alt rock. So pleased this carries on with the delightful music instead.

I agree 98%wiyh you, that commenter has a history of just being a negative jealous dude. The gender comment could have been left out. That has nothing to do with deep emotive music.
I rarely comment on videos. But man. I cried. I had a hard week. And this just brought it all down and I could breathe
Yeah, me too. This is just what I needed this am.
@@JasonChaffeeMusic and I watched again today.

Sweet spots galore, steady, measured, patient, no ego, just sound.
This is RIGHT up my street. Thank you SUSS and KEXP

Glad they give cred to Cooder and Eno too with their prescience in genre☮🐉👁
Not something I would normally listen to. This was hypnotic
Brian Ego and Merle Haggard had a baby. Look Who's Talkin'!!!
I love when a band makes you want to move out of your stultifying Midwest town and start a band, an instrumental band with poetry perhaps.
I watched some dudes play in my pub last night. This is just a massively refined version of that.
❤
There has been a rash of sweet Generation X bands doing cool stuff as of late. I'm really digging Steven Spielberg's tone explorations here
These dudes look like boomers to me! The heaviest inspirational generation of all.
