We're in Wisconsin and get LOTS of snow, more than I ever want 😅 I will be the first to admit though, that I love our 4 seasons! I love all the decorations but admittedly LOVE the downstairs decor for me!! I love the lights and Santa hat in the cactus skeleton! Perfect! Can't wait for the closet declutter you are always so motivating 💗

We always have snow before christmas, it's usually around early November or sometimes middle of October. I'm not a big fan of shoveling snow but I still do it. We are currently in the middle of a snow storm with ALOT of snow coming. I like the look of a white christmas but I love spring/ summer more. I put up the tree around Thanksgiving or after ..just depends every year. Love the themes you choose to decorate for upstairs and downstairs.
I’m in Texas, so occasionally we will get snow at Christmas time. Your home looks so festive. I love all the beautiful decorations you put out. The wooden snowmen are so precious! I lost my husband in 2020 to Covid. He was a contractor and worked with wood all the time. If he were still here with us, I would have him make me a set of those adorable snowmen! As someone living in an apartment - this video definitely reminds me how much decor you have to have for a whole house. I think my bedroom is the size of your master closet 😂 I love that you get the chance to do different themes in different zones of your house. Very fun!
I'm a 59 yr old child so I love the reds, the traditional look, & the whimsical the most. Lol!
My children are all grown up so I don't do alone of decorating anymore. The wintery vibe is my favorite.
I live in Southern California and we don’t get snow near the coast where I live. We can go to the mountains in about an hour to an hour and a half and visit the snow.
I think the chunky wooden shelves would look really nice in the theatre room in place of the thinner shelves.
It all looks very festive upstairs and downstairs and I actually like both.
I use all coastal decor normally which is a little whimsical and natural, but now that my grandson lives with me we are doing the grinch decor! Also, I would just keep a cleaning cloth and glass cleaner in that room and clean the mirrors when I walk in the room since they have to be pushed to be opened. Love the Santa hat on the cactus. I am also a light person. I love lights everywhere
I used to live in Michigan. We had snow many times for Christmas when I was young as I got older it was a toss up. Now I live in Kentucky Andy like the warmer temps here. I still get spring, summer and fall. Winter is short and I usually wear sweaters or light jackets until December. Jan-March it’s colder and we can get snow but it melts fast. Mostly rain. By April it warms right back up. Nov. 9th it was 70 today. Yesterday was 82.

Hi Amanda, wow, I don't know which floor I like better... tough decision. I do love how they are both so different and, of course, so very cozy and pretty. I'm having a tough time, I'm 67, and I'm a widow with a major back disability but the best part of this is I'm raising my 3 grandsons on a fixed income I'm trying so hard to make our house this year magical with what we have. We need magic! The boys just said the other day, "Grandma twinkles (our elf) is coming in 3 weeks and they get so excited so I try really hard to make him do things for the boys each morning. It's so cute watching them look for him as soon as I wake them up for school... I love it so much❤❤❤. Your house is so pretty, and I love hearing your voice-overs. They are so calming and comforting. ❤. Thank you for your videos, and I will see you in the next one✨️🎄🦌🎅🤶🎁
The older I get, the more I appreciate minimal & neutral decor. A little can make a BIG statement. Great job, Amanda!
I love all your bathroom makeovers-it’s hard to choose just one favorite! Just the changes in paint color alone makes them all so much better!
I live in Philly, PA and we enjoy all seasons. My favorites are spring and fall, which tend to be the shortest. I do like snow at Christmas and during the winter, but only a little. Ideally, the snow that blankets the lawn, shrubs, and tree limbs, but not enough to cover the sidewalks and streets.😊
My favorite bath remodel is the blue accent wall. Actually, the entire second floor was an incredible transformation. The prior homeowners were not shy with color. I love all your choices with these makeovers.
Actually started following you during the Utah basement makeover. The playroom and boys bedroom makeovers were amazing. And the first time I saw twin TVs for gaming.
I love the serene feel of your first floor, with the greens and mire natural elements. Lovely getting up in the morning to such a peaceful space. I do like the red/white theme upstairs for the boys. Very fun and cheery. I, too, have several nativity sets that I put out. Also love the snowmen made by your sister-in-law. Handmade items are so special.
The garland on the stairs railing, lights on the cactus and evergreen are beautiful additions to your lovely home. 😊
BTW, what do you use to clean or clear off those high ledges?
I love both but my favorite is the more peaceful, subtle colors. I used to decorate in blue with red accents because I wasn't a fan of red, green or gold. But now, I don't have kids at home so I just put red and silver balls on the tree and in a bowl. Then after Christmas, I keep up the silver with white because it looks like snow. I live in snowy New York and HATE snow! I hope you are feeling better. Love your videos. I always feel so calm when watching you!
I love how you're able to have different decor styles for you and the boys. I'm definitely into the more neutral, simple Christmas decor.

I will never judge you by your closet… or any other things in your home. You are living your life with your family as are others watching this. It gets a bit busy and chaotic and some things are not as important as others and your closet is one example. You should see my craft room🙀🥹😁😜. I have high hopes for it someday. Just enjoy your time with family. I love the whimsy Christmas 🤶🏻🎄🌲☃️🎅🏼 but I also love places with the simple and serene atmosphere. Both can work . To each there own choice. Yes, I remember all the redo you did in the Utah house. I loved how the basement turned out. It was a great place to chill. I think the lights on the tree look good. I love the way the cactus turned out. Your decorating is always beautiful.
It was our favorite place! So cozy!
Louisiana is not known for snow. I do remember one Easter when I was very young where we had snow. Our coldest weather is usually just a little below freezing, and that doesn’t happen every winter. The best way to make to my house feel like Christmas for my family is to make peanut butter fudge, divinity fudge, and pralines. Here in Louisiana most holidays have special foods we associated. In the winter, it’s candy that needs low humidity to set like fudges and pralines.
So funny how the weather can surprise you, am I right?!
I absolutely love the idea of decorating differently in different areas of the home as I always go overboard for Christmas! I can't wait to do the same thing when I have a house instead of an apartment!
I had never thought of separating the two decorating styles but it all looks beautiful! You have such a beautiful home! Many years ago I bought a round red tablecloth, folded it in half and it’s been my tree skirt ever since! I gather it up kind of like you did your white throw.
Looks so great! I tend to lean towards the neutral color palette for Christmas but when my kids were little I did the whimsical decor. I’m in the northeast and we woke up to a winter wonderland- that is all the snow I’ll need for the entire winter season!

I live in the southern part of India and I have never experienced snow in my entire life. So whenever I used to decorate my christmas tree I used cotton to mimic snow. I hope one day I can experience a snowy Christmas 😊
Hardly ever any snow here in Mississippi. But. I just thought you should know, you keep me company while I do dreaded tasks (like cleaning my kid's awful bedroom while she's away at a private school for the next 2 months), and it's been put off for a while. I miss my kid, but man her room is awful 🥴🥴 and having you in my ear is like having my best gal pal over to keep me going ❤

Love the new tree lights! I have gone back and watched all of your videos so I have seen that cozy basement redo. We always have cold weather at Christmas and sometimes snow, like you I love it for the Holidays but then I’m over the snow and cold. I prefer the shelves you did in the bathrooms
I have 3 cats and one in particular loves to take a ride on whatever I am taking up or down the stairs.

43+ years in the Deep South, no memory of a white Christmas here. We have had a handful of brief snow falls in January and February. Having grown up in way northern Illinois and having had many white Christmas’s, really have yet to miss it.

I am typically not a fan of red, but I love a colourful Christmas. So I completely understand having different styles for upstairs and main living area. I put all the red decorations outside where I dont have to see them all day. Inside I have it purple, green, and blue. Not traditional but gives me so much joy💜💚💙🌲❄️
For the mirror doors, you could paint them. The possibilities are endless at that point as to colors. Or you could use sticky back paper to cover them with a styled print.
I absolutely both the bottom floor and upstairs decor for Christmas. I love how the boys have their kid friendly Christmas decorations and downstairs is so clam and relaxing. You definitely get the best of both worlds. Great job! 😂 I cannot stress that enough! ❤

Amanda you’ve solved my problem, the little arm table in the theatre room, wow! I have an awkward entry to our living room it makes it hard for whom ever is sitting in that position too far too the coffee table, no way of having side table. I sorted through all my Christmas decorations last year and divided the different ones I’d gotten for each child, along with many my Mom made for them. It’s time for them to take them home now, been majorly decluttering and ready to decorate.

Amanda I totally remember y’all finishing your basement in your Utah home! I was born and raised on the East coast & a few years ago we moved to Texas. We rarely had snow for Christmas in PA & certainly don’t have it for Christmas here. I never really minded the snow it was the gloomy LONG winters I couldn’t take! We see the ☀️ way more here & that is great for my mental health! 🎄🔔🦌🎅🏼

I love both areas just has a slight .Christmas theme without going heavy. The tree looks great with the amount of lights you guys put on it. Everything looks great‼️ sometimes I wish we had stairs so I. Oils have a banister to put garland on. It looks really good.

Hi Amanda! Here in Northeastern PA we sometimes have a white Christmas. When I was younger we always had one, but the last few years not so much. It is cold though. I remember about 15 years ago we had gotten 24” of snow Christmas Eve into Christmas Day and it was great. We hung out with our neighbors in our pajamas. Now I only like snow for the holidays, but come January 2nd I want Spring. 💕 I remember the basement make over. Two years ago we replaced our carpeting and it is identical to what you had in your Utah home.

Of all the bathrooms here I loved the transformation of the little powder room downstairs. It was so dark and you guys gave it an awesome lift.

Amanda, You are one of my favorite TH-camrs…I love how you approach each holiday, especially Christmas. I’m with our daughter in Kentucky, which meant I needed to get Christmas up before I left. Last Christmas I was in Kentucky and it snowed and snowed and snowed around this time last year. Thankfully it hasn’t snowed yet. I enjoy a little of the white stuff, but get tired of it after a week. My husband and I are empty-nesters and still enjoy decorating for Christmas.

When I lived in California, we never had snow. Moved to Oregon in 2010, and there were years with no snow and some with quite a bit of snow. Moved to Idaho in 2022, and boy, do we have snow from early Novembe until late May. I love the snow❤❤

Amanda love the decor, it great you can style neutrals and upstairs little traditional colour fun. You always amaze me, you have such large spaces to make cozy and you do. I live East Canada, snow will happen anytime just out snowtires on today. Snow will stay till April long cold grey days. I’m with you fun Christmas week then melt be gone. I would love that.
Turned out so cute!! I love whimsical Christmas!! I like the shelves both ways…but I do prefer the chunkier ones. Have you thought of putting peel & stick wallpaper on the mirrored doors? I have used it several times & very easy to use. You could do something bold or a simple pattern. I think you could still push on it to ,are the doors open easily. It is not very thick. 🥰
