If you enjoy checking out Bangkok and other SE Asia spots, consider subscribing. I'll continue to make videos showing the streets in Bangkok and beyond. Thailand is amazing and a great place to visit, work or retire. I'll do my best to show you how to live affordably in SE Asia. Plus, enjoy some great side trips from Bangkok.
Thanks for taking us there! Wow! Some really good moments! There's talent there, which includes the whole group. I really liked the way the saxophonist thinks.
Another terrific video, Joe! I am blown away by the quality of 'club' music. How is the language issue in Bangkok? How were communicating with the cab driver? What about a streetside foodstand? Here in SF, I can speak passable Spanish. (Cuatro empanadas, por favor.") You seem to get around so easily and comfortably.
Yes the music places are nice. Language isn't much of a problem. Most places I go they speak English. I know a little Thai and Google Translate is a big help. Streetside stands usually cook one thing. You'll pick up a few phrases pretty fast
@@ChristiaanHartNibbrig No real communication needed with the taxi driver. You use the Grab app 99% of the time. It's like Uber. You enter where your going and its translated in Thai on their end. Although many cab drivers understand basic English. Maybe 50% of drivers speak English well.
I have to say, I'm a bit surprised this bar is named as such, my understanding is the Buddha name and image isn't to be used in such a way. But perhaps because it's just the name and images of the Buddha aren't used, maybe it's ok. I have fond memories of this Ratchathewi BTS station, I spent some time in Ratchathewi and it's one of my favorite places I stayed in Bangkok. Nice video, love jazz and had I known of this club I'd have gone.
Yes, I've also heard of this rule. Still, it's a very nice place. I believe it's less than a year old. You'll have to go on your next visit. Thanks for watching

Thanks for watching. I have some other music videos on the Bangkok Playlist
Looks like a great place to hang for a chill evening.
There are plenty of good music spots in town. I saw a great punk band from Atlanta last night. More videos on the way. Thanks for watching. Joe
I love jazz especially piano jazz. Just relax and enjoy a nice evening
That sounds good.
I would have loved this bar, they don't play enough jazz these days
It's a great little place
I would love to check this out one day.
That's a great spot. I'm sitting in a blues bar in Auckland as I write. $14 NZ beers. I miss Bangkok prices
@@EagerExpat ouch! Yeah it's expensive down there. I never go out in Norway so i feel your pain. cost too much. Have a good trip
This looks like a little cozy place in NYC or Boston.
Yes, but the drinks aren't, $20 US.
@@EagerExpat Nice. I like cheap and high quality
@@louis20122 Me too, I like a nice club with cheap drinks

@@EagerExpat How "were" communicating with the cab driver? (I have an Ivy League graduate degree!)

@@ChristiaanHartNibbrig See ya later. 4:30 am here. Been editing all night. More videos on the way. I'm hitting the rack
Hi Eager , Thank you for sharing ! One query do we need to reserve or something before we go ?
Hi. I only went here once, and we reserved a table up front. I think you can drop in, but sending a message is best
