can you do clubs that dont do table service, and have an actual dance floor? I find it hard to find a place to dance with my friends, and we dont want to dance round tables because it gets super cramped and we often bump into other people in the tables nearby :(
I just found out that my favourite club in Bangkok -BEAM- closed recently 🤬 It was the only club I found without standing tables on the dance floor, and a perfect mix of expats, tourists and locals, and the people have danced all the night and not standing around 😭

Almost every weekend there's a festival where the whole place is a dance floor LOL. Also Europeans do make clubs in Thailand where theres a dance floor and everyone does dance. Mustache for example.

Fun fact`: the licensed scooter taxi drivers (win) in orange or red wests are by law working directly with the royal Thai police as extra eyes/ears/witnesses against crimes and have often first eyes on a accident or crime. They are literally everywhere the latest numbers shows that there are about +90000scooter taxi drivers and 5,564 motorcycle taxi stations in Bangkoks different districts total.. That's one of the less unknown reasons why bangkok is so safe to live in.. apart from all the police, locals and cameras that are everywhere too=)
I think you just took that initial information and tied it to the reason it is safe here on your own. Motocy taxis are mainly for workers and operate the same time people go to work and little past the time they go home (peak hours). They dont make much money so they wouldnt be lounging around after that acting like neighborhood watch for 30baht. i would LOVE to see motocy taxis at 3am when I want to home after a club. Not going into full detail but it is safe for other cultural reasons and sorry for ruining your fun fact you knew all along.

Many freelancers work in Sugar, which is why so many ladies come to help customers find drinks and girls. I know because I know the lady who puts the girls to work. Just tells the right story. As someone who has lived there for 5 years, I am disappointed that you don't know this or don't want to tell
He mentioned the entire area is full of freelancers. Really, the biggest selling point of Soi 11 is the walkability to a bunch of different stuff. A lot of clubs or bars are satellite clubs, so you go there and if you don't like it, you're stuck grabbing a taxi if you want to go to other places.
Far too many screechy EDM and Hip Pop clubs in Thailand in general, but I guess that's what the kids there like. In Bangkok try Beam, Decommune or Mustache. Glow used to be good before it shut down. Even had the likes of Sasha playing there.
Im lowkey happy he didn't talk about the actually good nightclubs that we go to, iykyk. Every location here was either super touristy or way too popular. I don't wanna gatekeep but sometimes it's better that way for the culture.
I think telling the demographic of the club will throw off certain viewers like they wont be allowed there. Theres no discrimination in Thailand so you're welcomed at any club. Even if you're purple.
I noticed that all the nightclubs mentioned were Western style nightclubs which play Western style music. The clubs seem target the people with money, the middle class, university students, tourists. When in Thailand, or any country in which I am a tourist, I want go the ordinary suburban nightclubs which play local music for local people and cater for the ordinary local people. For example, nightclubs playing Esan music. However, there is virtually no information on the location of such nightclubs for tourists.
thats why locals hang out at those bars with their own local people, because they don't want to hang out with foreigners/tourists.. if they see foreigners start moving in to their bar, they'll just move to another bar, i really noticed that in barcelona, locals there deep down.. they hate tourists..
Bangkok nightclubs are so lame. Like what is even the point of a nightclub with no dance floor and no one dancing? Just bunch of people standing at tables posing. Weird.
