And no, I don’t buy 1K phones every year….I don’t know where you got that from..but unlike you guys, I actually know what I want in a phone.
@@TheRealNightShotahh no. Many people keep their phones for 4-5 years, especially if it’s an expensive flagship. For many who sensibly keep their expensive phones for a long time, OS updates DO matter. Not only does it give new features, but also ensures apps still support and run on the phone in the long run. Plus it helps with resale value once you upgrade to a new phone.
I've had 2 ROG phones, and my favorite feature is still the Arrow active cooler controller, which I wish they would make Bluetooth so that it can connect to any phone. I think my biggest gripe with the rog phones in general are the cameras and the clunky software.

Nubia redmagic 10 pro+ is better value for money as far as specs is concern especially for gamers. 6.85 inches display, 7k mah battery and 960hz touch sampling rate for 830 US dollar is just an absolute steal in 2024.
The games that most people will be playing most of the new phone can play. The only good thing about this phone is the loudspeaker and the cool back led light. Only 2 years of OS updates for a phone cost you more than $1000 and a midrange camera? Just skip this
Camera is recycled from the previous Rog Phone 8. I have it, its pretty shit at night. I mean to no ones surprise, but the fact they promote a somewhat good camera, it was pretty mediocre.

Asus has been accused of poor build quality not just in phones but in laptops and desktop motherboards too. Asus Republic of trash.
I can't use the language Asus deserves. The Rog Phone 8 had two buttons on the back fan. The 6, and 7, had four. This telephone is trash, and Asus as a company is a failure. Camera performance has been improved significantly. I like the saturated look; it looks much better than the Pixel and iPhone. They just boost up the HDR way too much for my taste.
Ill never understand "gaming" on a phone. Other than emulators you don't have a lot of power there. Battery life wouldn't be good and all the hardware wouldn't either as is shown here. Especially for the price.
I'd rather buy a flagship slab phone and spend another few hundred on a used Steamdeck if a dedicated mobile gaming device is what I'm after than spend $1500 on this and get crappy cameras and run Android games instead of PC games like on the Steamdeck.
