No. Basically they shoved all of the processors towards the center, and so, they can have a external removable active cooler that can attach there instead. Allowing for it to have a IP rating.

I’m keen in the non pro model, hope it does not compromise much. I don’t care about the camera and the customizable AnimeMatrix. 12gb ram + 256gb of storage is enough for me. Hell, I’m using Rog 6 with 16gb ram + 512gb of storage; utilised only 100gb to date and did not open multiple apps in the background.
I've always been curious about these gaming phones. But I guess red magic is the better choice this time around. I'm just not really sure about the longevity of these kinds of phone. I feel like my ROG Ally X is a much better choice when it comes to on the go gaming. I can play the PC version of the mobile games there, and still have my phone for other usage.

I honestly don't see the point of dedicated premium gaming phones anymore. Mobile games run perfectly fine on a standard flagship phone. So the potential performance feels wasted. You're better off getting a steam deck or other handheld PC for dedicated gaming. The back panel does seem fun, but I'd rather have that on a regular flagship.
