Hello Madam, I have been suffering from OA since 14 years. I have been doing some physiotherapy exercises. But your exercises have helped me a lot. The way you explain the things are much simpler. You have covered almost all kind of difficulties which are generally faced by OA patients. Thank you very much and keep doing more videos.
So glad you've like the video so much!!!
@@arthritisadventure Not only this but other many other videos too..they are really helpful...thanks 🙏
Sooooo helpful. I just started the "zig zag" from one of your shorts. Control builds confidence and now strength!. Thanks.

Awesome! I've heard of that before but forget it. Going to try it today.
@@ChittarupaYoga ... several really good remedies almost slipped by me in the "shorts" category. I'm so appreciative and just recently started "favoriting" or liking them. God luck.

Thanks Alyssa, going downhill kills my knees.
Me too!😢
Welcome! Best of luck with the movements in the videos to help with going down hill!
Great to have some options to reduce the strain.
Thank you so much. This is the most difficult thing I deal with osteoarthritis in both my knees: down hill and down stairs. My knees are at the bone-on-bone stage. I’m trying to avoid joint replacement as long as possible.
You've got this!
Thank you. Great advice.
Welcome! Glad you liked the video!
I'm super grateful for your videos.

Today, I jogged downhill to get through it. I think I will end up paying for it and doing these instead. :)
Alyssa, I have a problem with my left knee. Has a popping/clicking when walking slightly swollen. Is there another exercise I can do for strength.
Depends on what is causing it to swell. Here are some alternate ideas for knee strengthening: 5 exercises to STRENGTHEN arthritic knees WITHOUT more pain
th-cam.com/video/ku7YdLflbvM/w-d-xo.html
Alyssa, almost a year ago, I fell. Causing a slight tear to my Meniscus .. was told that it would heal on its own. Yes, I did see a doctor. The swelling slowly went away. Then, all of a sudden, it starts the popping/clicking. It's very stiff when getting up from sitting any length of time. I do have some pain, not that often. I tried water aerobics to help with the mobility and can't seem to kneel down all the way. Due to the fact it's swelling. Any subjection
Thanks in advance
Welcome!
You are a gem! Thank you💕
Thank you for the very nice comment! I'm so glad you like the video and channel.
Yes mam, very good,,,,
Thanks a lot
Aaaaah, those kickouts make me nervous! I'll definitely try the second and third exercises though. Thank you for another great video!
Why do they make you nervous?
@@arthritisadventure When I saw an ortho surgeon a while back for a consult (didn't have surgery, btw), he told me to avoid kickouts like that. He said that particular movement puts too much strain on my kneecaps. I've avoided them ever since. I do other PT/exercises to strengthen my quads, glutes, etc.
👍🏻 good tips
Glad it was helpful!
Thanks 💜
Welcome!!!
Thanks👍👋
You're welcome!
Love your videos so helps me thank you.
You are so welcome! Glad you like them.
@arthritisadventure Thanks for your videos, too. I have arthritis of the knees. Whenever l walk it feels like someone is stabbing needles into my knees. I have stopped almost all physical activities as a result of this 😢 your videos have given me hope, so thank you 😊
Awesome, thank you!! 👍😎🇨🇦
You're so welcome!
Isn't that first exercise similar to the leg extension machine which is supposed to be bad for the knees?
The knee extension exercises isn't "bad" for the knees. Its relative to how it feels on a person by person basis just like many other exercises. The resistance band also provides much less external load compared to the external weight used on the machines typically. If this exercise does not feel good to you, use a modification or a different variation of the movement.
Thank you so much. Great video as always. I have been following your exercises and they have been very helpful. I have a doubt. I have a miniscus tear in my right knee, can I do the third exercise? Will it aggravate the tear?
You're so welcome. It depends because everyone's knee responds differently to a meniscus tear and where you're at.
I've had knee pain since my 2nd month into menopause and have stopped doing "leg day". Is it detrimental to do weighted leg work? It causes more pain the next day, but I can handle the discomfort. I just don't want to be causing more damage. You're legs are amazing, btw!
Weight training can help build muscle if done at the correct resistance. It depends on your discomfort as muscles will feel slightly sore after being used a bunch which is how they build back stronger.
@@arthritisadventure I'm not concerned with muscle pain. I'm more concerned with if I'm doing damage to my achy knees. I had zero pain doing squats, lunges, step ups , leg presses, etc until menopause. I'm almost certain that's the culprit. But thank you for the response. I will start slow.

Can these be done if had knee replacement
That depends on how far you're out from a knee replacement surgery and where you're at in the healing process post op.
