Great video couple of cracking fish especially the first one. Haven't fished there before but river didn't look too big, low water is good for catching springers. Willie Gunn is such an effective fly.
Thanks yes it was a red letter morning for me. Rest of the week was really tough since as you say water was very low. Never considered low water as good for catching Springers, interesting. WG is my go to fly I'm afraid.
For early spring fishing in my experience as long as temp is not too cold then low water at summer levels is a better prospect to get a fish. Would say majority of my early spring fish have been caught in such conditions. The fish dont seem to run as hard and hang around a bit longer. Tight lines for 2024 !!
