I would love to see your set every know I then I’m a Stillwater angler usually but fished the Eden last year no luck but only there a few hours. I’m a novice river fisherman so all information is required Great video
My setup is fairly simple for most of the smaller rivers I fish I use an 11' switch rod with a floating line, then an 8 foot sinking polyleader with a tippet ring on the end to which I attach 5 feet of 15lb maxima then the fly. For bigger rivers I use a 13'6 rod with an intermediate line then a 10' sinking polyleader with 5' of maxima to the fly. If I was you I would book a half day with a guide as it will really speed up the learning curve.
Do you have a preferred flyline brand Rob? If so, what's the reason. Love these videos. Your dry humble gallows geordie humour decks me every time. I say geordie oh dear you could be a mackem of course.
Blimey, you certainly made yourself a salmon tourism award contender last season. Lots of water to get your head around. Shame nothing substantial was around. I wonder if it was the East West divide?
I did get about a bit that is true but what I did learn on my travels is that there is no place like home Toto. Especially if you want to catch a salmon.
Yes another great video thanks 👍👍👊
thanks for your video and commentry enjoyed your talk

Drizzle and salmon go together like peas and carrots.
From what ||I remember there was a lot more than drizzle falling that day!!
Wish I’d knew you were there, fish it regularly, cracking video
Many thanks

@@abakerslife I'm on a fly-tying mission at the moment. Lots of my favourite Ally's Shrimp (trad and silver) under production...
Don’t think there’s many Russian H…..s round there dude hahahaha. Might’ve livened up the day in the caves though.
That would be fishing in style 😎
