I can't tell you Anon amous how much I agree with that statement that there's way to many people that grow up without a dad or without a mom it's a crappy reality for those who are forced to grow up like that now me personally I was lucky to have both of my parents to this day and we're actually helping an adorable little girl that is a great kid because her mom isn't fit to be a mom at the moment and her dad I don't believe has ever been in the picture and to see her going through that daily breaks my heart but my family and I will make sure she has what she wants and needs
@@timothygould2993 Beautiful. I wish she could have had this from the beginning. I hope she can have some stability, love, support, guidance for the rest of her life to make up for what she was born into. Why do so many people have children when they are in no position to offer all of these things? It's so unfair to those children.
@@anonamous6968 I have been helping raise kids for over 25 years started as a little bit man myself helping my mom and dad all I could with my brother and two sisters it's not a secret siblings don't always get along but even if we weren't getting along all it would take to pull us back together was someone making a mistake and so much as picking on one of us because it became 4 of us on 1 bully guess who walked away and never tried that again you guessed it the bully and we wouldn't have to do anything but talk to him as for the little girl that is staying here now she's going to have that stability you spoke of the support she needs and her mom isn't that bad a person she's just in a bad time right now and that's why she's not able to be the mom the girl needs is all
You are so right. I always had my father present, but he was never there emotionally for us kids. He was never abusive, it was just like I didn't exist
This song makes me grateful that no matter how hard my mother tried to get rid of him, my dad always found ways to see my sister and I grow up. One of the greatest people I will ever know
This song breaks my heart for all the children growing up with one parent because the other one just walked away. My son has two kids he walked away from! It infuriates me to NO END!! It's a subject he refuses to discuss with me and his Dad! For the life of us, we don't understand how or why because he was raised in a wonderful loving home! There was no drinking or addiction! No fighting or anything! We always were there for him and his brother! They never needed or wanted for anything! They were raised with morals, respect and manners! We were always there for every single mile stone in their lives! Even at every single sports practices and games! I was involved with their schools! Both of their room Mom's all the way up to middle school then a volunteer for their middle school office, field trips , etc...etc... My husband and I stay in daily contact with our grandchildren he abandoned. Thankfully, their Mom and guardian allows us to! Because, they don't owe us anything! I look into my grandchildren's beautiful eyes and see the hurt and I can see they have questions that they'd like to ask but they don't. I know why. They want to put up a wall to protect themselves! I don't blame them! We love our son but we don't condone his abandoning his two oldest kids!! It absolutely breaks our hearts for them! His oldest lives in Boston where I recently (in November) went and surprised him for his 11th birthday! It was one of the most beautiful moments of my life! His second child , she lives in Birmingham, England. Unfortunately, we've never met her in person! We can't afford the tickets. We video chat and send pictures. As a grandmother, my arms ache from longing to hold her. I cry myself to sleep ALOT wanting and needing them in my arms! Our granddaughter is mixed and she gets bullied at school because she looks more white. Her Mom is light skinned but the kids tell her she was adopted because her Mom is black!! She tells them her Dad is white and they said that's right! That's why she's not your Mom! You look nothing like her! That breaks my heart into a million pieces! I want nothing more to love on her and protect her!! She has the most beautiful British accent and she laughs at me because of my accent! She CHOCOLATE and reading! She is the youngest in her school's history to EVER get one of her stories she wrote on the "Principals Wall" at seven years old! (I think she get that from Me! Lol). She likes makeup and dresses up! She definitely gets that from her other Grandmother (who's a makeup artist) She loves animals and loves rock climbing! I have no idea where she gets that attribute! I'm terrified of heights and her Dad is not a thrill seeker! That would be our other son! Anyways, sorry for the ongoing comment. Please pray for my son to figure out he should step up and be the Dad he's supposed to be and for not only our grandchildren but for every child in the world without a parent who won't or can't (for whatever reason) be a parent to these beautiful children who never asked to be here in this World! Also, please pray for me and my husband that one day we'll get to meet our sweet beautiful Princess in England! Much love, The Grimms
@ Kimberly Grimm We don’t know why our children make the choices they do but you are showing your grandchildren unconditional love that they will never forget. Your son is not in their lives but they have 2 loving grandparents. Bless you and your husband.❤️
That is Kelly Clarkson more recent and she went on to perform, not when she was on American Idol as a contestant. She was slimmer when she was on as a contestant a while back and she gained a little weight after having kids. So yeah, that is her a not too long ago. Anyway, she is an outstanding talent and her vocals are so beautiful.
Thank God Kelly won!! So well deserved!! She is such an emotional & lovable person, funny too, just love her to bits. Can't believe that was 2002. The song was so true for her, bless Kelly xxxx
That was one of the only seasons of American Idol I had ever seen, and I have loved her ever since. She's not only a great performer, but she's just a genuine human being and the best judge on The Voice! She's amazing!
I watched this live on my tv… and was an emotional wreck by the end… wow… she's one of the best singers out there… great voice, and she can sing anything . Oh, I watched the first episode of American Idol, and have never missed one in all of it's 21 seasons… she was the reason, the show got on the map, as soon as she appeared on the series, I was sold on her, and the show… welcome to the fan club
I love watching you reacting to music and there comes a song that just reaches way down deep and yanks your soul to the top and melts you. Well sung Kelly Clarkson.
I have very fond memories of Kelly Clarkson from when I was younger. I was in love with the girl next door, and she was going through a rough spot and on house arrest - so I would go over and spend the evenings with her watching American Idol. She was always my favorite on the show - coming from humble beginnings, a waitress that was barely scraping by, taught herself how to sing. When she won, I still remember the whole spectacle of it and how gracious she was. I'll always have a soft spot for her because of the memories I have tied to her performances just starting out, so when she released this song it hit me right in the heart. To this day, it's one of very few songs that can make me tear up. I'm not a father myself, but I couldn't imagine ever abandoning my child for any reason, and seeing her still so hurt over it to this day just gets to me. I got the chance to meet her at a music festival some years after she won, and she is one of the most kind and down to earth people on the planet. This performance in particular you can just tell how hard it is for her to sing about it even though the song had been out for a while. Powerful, moving music.
This song kills me ... my bio dad was In and out of my life growing up and this song was him to a T. .... he was diagnosed with cancer recently and called me and said he was sorry for the past and such .. ( for a little bit I was angry that it took him literally facing death to realize his love for us ) he then told me he was terrified to die alone ...I told him I would come up there and help him ( he is in alaska and I'm in tennesse) and he cried and said I never expected you to help me because of what I put you thru and I told him despite him not being there for me growing up ..I was taught to do what's right no matter how hard it is and he is my father who needs me ...but I have so many mixed emotions about it .. it has all taught me what not to do when I do have kids ...they wont go thru what I did
Many times our parents teach us the lessons we need to learn even if they don't mean to. Looking back on your life, you'll be glad you made the choices you did - because it takes a strong person to do something kind for someone who wasn't kind to you. Don't hold onto your anger - that is like drinking poison and expecting someone else to die. It will eat at you from the inside and ultimately hurt you more than anyone else. The most any of us can do is take what life we've been given and make the best of it. Use your lessons to empower yourself and your children, make sure the mistakes of past generations aren't repeated.
You're a better person than I am. My bio dad was a revolving door dad until like 12 or 13. He was never there for me and if the same thing happened to him, I wouldn't give a flying fuck. I'd let him die alone. I always believe that actions have consequences and that you deserve what you get. If he wasn't there for me and was selfish enough to hurt me like this, he can go fuck off. He wanted nothing to do with me so I want nothing to do with him. He made his bed and now he has to lie in it. I always wondered how people would feel guilty for not being there for someone who has no right asking you to be when they never did anything that deserves you. I guess it's better to have a clean conscience that forever wonder. I guess I just wouldn't feel guilty either way. Maybe I'm just bitter and petty
My dad is in the Navy, hearing this song makes me grateful that even though he was gone for nine months at a time starting when I was 6. I'm grateful that he cared, I am grateful that he called always. I am grateful he would always surprise us when he came home. I'm so sorry to those who grew up without a father. Love you guys
dang after 5 years i still lost it watching this performance. actually every time she performs this song live on tour she still breaks so i breaks too...such a powerful song. she still broke down when some else sings this in front of her.
This song still gets me every time I watch it specifically this video, you can see the emotion on the judges too, she was the first ever winner of American Idol season 1 when she was younger, she put weight on over the years as she got older and in this video she actually is pregnant which adds to the emotion. She will tell you herself that this is one of the most personal songs she has ever performed as it is based on her life. And yes she has lost a lot of weight since this despite people being critical of her. Clay Aiken and Ruben Studdard were a different season by the way. Kelly Clarkson is by far one of the most amazing singers I have ever heard, most recently she was a judge on The Voice. Also this was like one of the final American Idol seasons ever before it came back different. Thank you for another inspirational reaction video.
Kelly is a sweetheart girl who everybody loves. Her Father left her at 6 yrs old. I mean anybody can be a father but it takes an extra special man to be a Daddy. Your video's keep making my eyes water Sushi! 😢
This is one of the most beautiful songs that I've ever heard Kelly sing..She is such a wonderful person and performer!! Her hit Breakaway is a beautiful song as well..Love You Kelly!!
I am so excited you did this reaction, I love this song from her and this version on her album it is actually a faster tempo. Seeing her do it live though I cry every time I see it.
I am on a "Find songs to make you cry" binge fest right now. This one gets to me because of everyone else is crying too. I am so lucky my dad is still with me
I don’t think I have ever listened to this song and not cried. In one way because I relate to her in a way but in another because the way she sings it is so beautifully sung and the words she chose are so well thought out and you can hear the emotions
I can't listen to this song without crying, because it reminds me of how I felt growing up without my dad being there and knowing that it was because he chose not to be. It took me a long time to get to where I am now, but I wouldn't trade it for the world. I have a wonderful boyfriend and two amazing children with one on the way, and my boyfriend is the best father I could ever ask for, for my children. He loves them and treats them like the precious treasures they are, and he loves me and treats me better than I could ever imagine being treated.
That episode of American idol aired the week my granddaughter came to live with because her mom and dad didn't have time for her. It was one of the 1st shows we watched together. She still lives with me and i cant listen to that song without thinking of her and crying
I watched this performance live and it broke me down. I never cry but this got me. You're right, you can feel the emotion in the song. The fact that she broke down singing it just made it more real. Keith Urban was tearing up as well, he has two daughters of his own.
I just heard the song for the first time about a week ago. I can relate to this song because of my biological father who chose not to be a part of my life. I was blessed with a stepfather who decided he wanted to be my daddy. He died almost 3 years ago. He chose to be my daddy and that means more to me than blood!
*Don’t worry girl I cry at this song too! I’m 28 and a MAJOR daddy’s girl. I couldn’t imagine him EVER not being there when I need him the most. He’s my rock! I suffer with depression and anxiety so he’s my rock through the dark patches. So I can’t imagine not having that... I feel for her.*
She is amazing! She is a huge superstar, I am surprised you don't know that! She has sold I believe over 20 million records, has a ton of top 10 hits. She is a judge on The Voice, and also has her own talk show. Definitely watch more of her she is amazing and also unbelievably lovable and hilarious!
I saw her sing this live in Houston and she was pregnant. She cried we cried it was just tears all over the place lol. It man she sounds like an angel in concert. It’s freaking magical.
This song is so powerful! This is her true story about how her father abandoned her and her family, but then came back when she became famous and rich... She's making a promise to her children to always put them first, as well as expressing her love for her husband who showed her what a real man and father was! So although it's is sad and painful that her father is such a deadbeat, it is beautiful that she found such an amazing man to spend her life with and she really truly values her children!
I cry every time I hear this song. There are people in your life that make you a priority but there are others who treat you like you are worthless. She has an amazing soulful voice.
Kelly sings from her heart and her music is deep! Love her music!you should listen to her song "Because of you", it's another tearjerker but I love it! And the video is so deep
Kelly Clarkson has amazing vocals and she brings the emotion in this very personal song. Her willingness to be vulnerable . . . Respect! Another song to react to by Kelly Clarkson is another one she did for American Idol called Up To The Mountain. She performed this with Jeff Beck for one of the nights they were raising money for Idol Gives Back. You will like this song very much too!
This song hits way to close to home. My "father" (or sperm donor as I consider him) walked out when I was five and never looked back. He died without ever reaching out to me. I found out he was dead when I was a senior in high school. It has taken me a long time to move past the bitterness.
Love watching your reactions to the songs and lyrics! You are a beautiful lady and seem to have a beautiful heart & spirit! Keep doing your videos! In this crazy world that we live in today, it is nice to see something so refreshing!
I've been watching reaction on this video of Kelly Clarkson and u can see when it changes where they stop listening to music and start hearing the meaning and it changes everything u can feel the depth u can hear the pain and her strength and it amazes me everytime
Yes, if I recall the story correctly this was the last season on Fox (and at the time the show was being canceled and they weren't sure if it would ever come back). They wanted to schedule her to perform for the last episode but it was after her due date. So they scheduled her as late as they possibly could and I think she gave birth a week and a half later.
so cute when she attributed her pregnancy and last time on idol broke her like that...c'mon she still breaks now performing it or someone else performing this in front of her
I can't help but get emotional and cry whenever I see this performance. She was very pregnant and deep in her feelings when performing this song, bcuz its about her and her father. I believe she mentioned that when she did this performance she was thinking how much her husband is everything as a father, that hers wasn't. But don't quote me on that being her exact words.
Sushi, Kelly Clarkson...is currently on the Voice as a judge...and she has her own talk show. She won 1st place on 1st Season American Idol and this was the finale of the 1st run and it went off the air. This song was personal about a father abandoning his daughter and being picked up by a husband who became a father.
This song is gonna tear you up.💔 I first heard her ring it when she was pregnant for her second child. She broke down, but finished the song. The song is about her father breaking her heart @ 6 yrs old & her husband showing her what a good father & husband actually is. No one can break a little girl more than her father. So glad she found a good man. ❤️
Behind those hazel eyes by kelly is another good one of hers also done well by a the voice contestent she helped coach some named moriah kelly's original and moriah's version are both great
Being a father it breaks my heart why any man would do this to a child, I took on two children this age,and we have had more children together since. Such an inspiring song, and one that tugs all my heart strings, makes you want to do so much more for families.
Kelly Clarkson won season 1 of American Idol. The other 2 you mentioned (Reuben Studdard and Clay Aiken) were the season 2 winner and runner up, respectively. I would like to see you react to "Don't You Wanna" from her and Jason Aldean. One of my favorites all time, she's so talented.
Sushi, for me J-Lo reaction through the whole song is what gets me. She is stone COLD..... and in total aweeeee. Truly one of my favorite performances.
Wow, I've heard the song and knew the back story, but never seen that performance til now, I was balling my eyes out lol. I love Kelly Clarkson tho, an amazing voice and just a great person with a larger than life personality
For those of us without fathers, this song tears us apart. Too many of us can relate to this song. Too many.

She won the first season of American Idol. She's amazing. Her voice is heavenly
I try not to watch her sing that song so emotional I'm crying like a baby now.
I think this is when she debuted the song and she obviously had a hard time finishing it. The album version is excellent.
Yeah my dad did the same . my mother didn't waste any time signing those papers either

Kelly is a sweetheart girl who everybody loves. Her Father left her at 6 yrs old. I mean anybody can be a father but it takes an extra special man to be a Daddy. Your video's keep making my eyes water Sushi! 😢
I adore Kelly Clarkson and always have ever since she won American Idol Season 1.
Seeing her do it live though I cry every time I see it.
one of the most beautiful songs ever written and performed.
This song always brings major tears for me even when I tell myself I won't cry I can't stop it. ❤️
She’s so good. I ball every time I watch this performance but I never get sick of watching it. She’s amazing.
This was worded wrongly but whatever lol
Watch the live version in concert when her husband surprised her on stage
She's got an amazing voice. You should definitely react to more stuff from her :)
I watched this performance live and it broke me down. I never cry but this got me. You're right, you can feel the emotion in the song. The fact that she broke down singing it just made it more real. Keith Urban was tearing up as well, he has two daughters of his own.
Can't listen without crying everytime
She wrote this about her past, Lots of pain there Beautiful song Good reaction More Kelly
Listen to her winner’s performance “A Moment Like This” her vocals and emotions are just insane.
There is no other song that makes me as emotional as this one. I cannot listen to this without bawling.
try Its Over by Jeff Buckley (video)
Girl when I watched this back in the day I cried my the entire performance
Kelly Clarkson has amazing vocals and she brings the emotion in this very personal song. Her willingness to be vulnerable . . . Respect! Another song to react to by Kelly Clarkson is another one she did for American Idol called Up To The Mountain. She performed this with Jeff Beck for one of the nights they were raising money for Idol Gives Back. You will like this song very much too!
She was actually the first winner of American Idol and this was her performing on the last season.
Kelly Clarkson is really really good....You'd be amazed at her talent, I think.
This song hits way to close to home. My "father" (or sperm donor as I consider him) walked out when I was five and never looked back. He died without ever reaching out to me. I found out he was dead when I was a senior in high school. It has taken me a long time to move past the bitterness.
That made me cry
You had a lot of company.
Love watching your reactions to the songs and lyrics! You are a beautiful lady and seem to have a beautiful heart & spirit! Keep doing your videos! In this crazy world that we live in today, it is nice to see something so refreshing!
Tough, tough song. Strong woman.
In this video, which was the very 1st time she performed this song, she was actually pregnant with her second child. And she is an AMAZING singer! 💯
When a song can make you cry every single time you see and hear it, you know that's a song . . . and a singer!
I love her and that song is a great reminder how Blessed Ian to have the great “stepfather” that I called Dad to be there.
this song hits so hard to me, even more knowing that I relate so much to everyone who can relate I wish all the love in the world
I've been watching reaction on this video of Kelly Clarkson and u can see when it changes where they stop listening to music and start hearing the meaning and it changes everything u can feel the depth u can hear the pain and her strength and it amazes me everytime
American idol created superstar with kelly she had hit after hit...her songs hit you in heart..
She was pregnant when she was performing the song at American Idol
Your reactions are genuine. Keep it up!
I adore her. The wound of a father leaving never goes away IMO. KELLY CLARKSON does not disappoint.
She was heavily pregnant while singing this
Yes, if I recall the story correctly this was the last season on Fox (and at the time the show was being canceled and they weren't sure if it would ever come back). They wanted to schedule her to perform for the last episode but it was after her due date. So they scheduled her as late as they possibly could and I think she gave birth a week and a half later.
so cute when she attributed her pregnancy and last time on idol broke her like that...c'mon she still breaks now performing it or someone else performing this in front of her
No she wasn't.. She was a couple of months pregnant but fat... Which was actually better for her child... Dreamer
@@MrThomasC22 that's complete shit.. Where did your fantasist mind hear that?
@@MrThomasC22 I know as a sound recordist working on a few gutter shit programmes that that's bullshit... You fkn idiots
This was the performance that introduced me to the song. Very moving! 😭
Great Reaction! It all came together when you heard the lyric "Worthless" .
This was the Most Beautiful Song she's ever written💞💞💞
Such a beautiful story. How ♥ heartfelt.
Cried my eyes out❣
Kelly Clarkson was the first American idol winner, she became one of the biggest stars out now
I can't help but get emotional and cry whenever I see this performance.
This song is powerful to me, as a father. I can only hope that my amazing daughter loves me this way and knows that she is my world!
Behind those hazel eyes by kelly is another good one of hers also done well by a the voice contestent she helped coach some named moriah kelly's original and moriah's version are both great
I totally relate to this song. Kelly won the first season of American idol. And Ruben and clay were the final 2 in the second season.
I watched season I of American Idol. She was amazing and still is!
Being a father it breaks my heart why any man would do this to a child, I took on two children this age,and we have had more children together since.
Such an inspiring song, and one that tugs all my heart strings, makes you want to do so much more for families.
Kelly is awesome and she writes most if not all of her music
Seriously! EVERY time I watch that performance, I cry. I don't even have a family of my own and I can't imagine walking out on them!
Kelly was pregnant with her second child so she had all the emotions raw emotions
I love the variety..... Keep it going.... country and rock (do more)..... Good music everywhere
When she sang this live I was in tears. It's based on her life story. She's very pregnant here.
And this really happened to her so she made this Song😭God Bless You Girl❤❤
She poured her heart to the world about a great truth every women deserves a real man in there life
Try Kelly Clarkson "Because of You" if you would like to hear more music like "Piece by Piece".
James Koralewski I was thinking same thing
She was the first American Idol Winner! And she was pregnant I believe when she sang at the last show for Idol. Her voice is beyond amazing...
Kelly's catalog is AMAZING
