The brain and mind are very very flexible, you can overcome the worst feelings you never thought you could get rid off, live with, accept, defeat, and eventually forget they were ever a major part of your life. Was so lucky (excuse the pun) to see this man perform before Pearl Jam in Marley park in Dublin. Absolutely mesmerising, he put me in a trance ( I did smoke a j) but for an opening performance I felt that we were experiencing something special. Magnificent, magnificent singer and artist. Blown away, I’d pay well to see this man and his band again
If you want to watch the best gig these guys ever did where the sound was off the scale. Watch there Wigan 98 gig. Not saying they're bad here but 98 for them was when after 3 albums people finally took notice of how unbelievably good these guys are. The Verve are one of the bands that should have been way bigger that they got.

Nick McCabe is great. From explosive riffs and solos in more heavy tracks, to psychedelic reverb, to nice subtle ornamentation in more low-key songs.

It's a pity McCabe, Ahscroft and rest of the band don't make music together anymore. Their sound was so unique and magical.

The Verve never got the respect they deserved in the States. Amazing band. Richard is the epitome of rock n roll cool.
