There was no imperfection in his performance. It was uniquely flawless! He bared his soul and stared his mortality square in the face. I squalled like a baby.
Look dude you basically said you are way better than he is tuning your guitar. Even though you said his song was great and even tho he can't tune it and play his guitar anywhere as good as you can. You said it was good because his lack of tuning and playing his guitar compared to you. The song was so good it made up for his unavailable to get his equipment in proper playing order. I just want to ask you how come any country fan can ask have you heard of Jamie Johnson. And I guarantee all of them will say hell yeah he's great. And then any music fan can say hey have you heard of Justin Panariello and if there like me they will say who. Then after being ask again they will say no n of t that I know of
My dad wanted to pass at home surrounded by family and friends listening to his gospel bluegrass. This song played just an hour or so before his last breath. One of his favorite artists
My brother passed away 3 weeks ago. I suggested this song for his funeral. Mom loved it and thought it was the perfect choice. When my time comes, this is definitely one of the songs I want played. Great reaction
Oh Lord. This is the first time I've ever heard this son and my nephew is fighting cancer in 4 places in his body. I have set here and cried like a baby. Lord ! Lead him home.
This song always makes me cry since the first time I heard it. Now it's even harder to listen to because my sister has terminal cancer and we have just a few more day's maybe a week left with her. Thank you for playing this song it's so beautiful and unique it cuts through the heart.
This was played at my husband's funeral. I played it a lot since then. It's sad,but so beautiful when someone you love have left this old world for Heaven!
The studio version of this has all of that emotion with amazing female voices added on the last time through...and has that "Go Rest High on the Mountain" from Vince Gill vibe! Tell your wife this 72yo Grandpa cries when he hears the song too!
Mr. JOHNSON... I SAW HIM AT LIVE CONCERT , the first time inheaed him. What empressed ne was he had such a gift for true poetry. I love his prose too. Plus , you could feek his sweet spirit and the love of God. I cant wait to watch him live this coming Saturday on Saturday.
Jamie wrote this as a dedication to a family member that he lost. This is a true song that he wrote in his honor. We played this at my dad's funeral September 1st 2021 Mechanicsburg Ohio my dad is resting in Maple Grove cemetery. My dad the night before knew nothing about this song but my dad's last words was they'll be no tomorrow.
That was an awesome reaction video, I am a big fan of J.J. sad to admit that's the first time I've heard that song, so, in thanks I subscribed to your channel, keep it coming!
This is a song that commands respect because it is quite literally a prayer song. He stopped a performance a few months ago because people were talking while he was singing. He stopped and said "goodnight everybody" and started to walk off stage. When people booed, he said "I can't deal with people being disrespectful and talking during a prayer." The man talking shouted an obscenity and Jaimey challenged him to come up on stage and say it to his face.
Jamey has his own sound most definitely. Your next one should be Between Jennings and Jones. He doesn't have a lot of "happy" songs, but this one is kind of how it started for him in the business.
If you haven't already, check out his cover of "Two out of three ain't bad." Jim Steinman, once said he always envisioned it as a country song. Jamey makes it his own. In my opinion it's great.
Saw him so many times, he’s a rebel, he’s real! This song makes you think about life and death! When you see someone in the coffin, you know it’s not them, you see their personality gone, their soul ascended to heaven.
He had an incident a few years back where he had a severe head injury and didn't perform for a couple of years. This was after the accident so he will never be 100 percent. He slipped on ice leaving a gig at one of the Indian casinos in smacked the back of his head on the frozen parking lot. Check out some of his earlier performances
This is very lengthy please bare with me I have been listening to some of Jamey's stuff the past few months, basically for the first time. I knew his "In Color" recording and that's about all. I agree with the comments made by both of you. His songwriting, voice, playing, perfect imperfections, collecting autographs on his guitar, his physical appearance, etc. He just seems like an honest to goodness real dude that you would want to grab a drink with. So anyway, I came across Jamey and Lee Ann Womack performing at the AMC George Strait Artist of the Decade All Star Concert (this may not be the exact title, but it's close) in 2009. On one of his albums George had recorded "Give it Away" a song written by Jamey (apparently George has recorded songs written by Lee Ann as well). At this event Jamey and Lee Ann perform a duet version of "Give it Away" to honor George. They absolutely crushed it. I think you two would enjoy it. I most certainly did, I can't stop listening to it.
Jamey's look is one of a guy, you don't want to mess with. At the same time , it's one of a guy you want on your side. You might not realize this, he is a former Marine. I know he has a deep love of country.

Beautiful, but my heart is ripped out each time I hear this. My girlfriend that I miss so very much is now standing on the mountain.
Hopefully we all get to stand on those slopes , in other words you’ll meet again .
I cry every time I listen to that song. I'm 54 years old and I still feel good after a good cry from that song.

If that song doesn't make you think about yourself then something is bad wrong..I love it❤. Lord have mercy on my soul
I was there. I’ve never heard such deafening silence and respect for an artist.
This was played at my husband's funeral. I played it a lot since then. It's sad,but so beautiful when someone you love have left this old world for Heaven!

I believe this song touches the part of us that was put there by our Creator, Jesus. The scripture says He has set eternity in our hearts.
My favorite Jamey Johnson song...... " Take My Hand.... Precious Lord and Lead Me Home"..... away from this world.
😢😢😢 OMG awesome song and singer WOW 😲

The imperfections is what makes it beautiful... because that's what makes it real.
Just like all of us. 👊
That was an awesome reaction video, I am a big fan of J.J. sad to admit that's the first time I've heard that song, so, in thanks I subscribed to your channel, keep it coming!
He has a sweet open soul and such a wonderful voice, not many do.

Saw him so many times, he’s a rebel, he’s real! This song makes you think about life and death! When you see someone in the coffin, you know it’s not them, you see their personality gone, their soul ascended to heaven.

Great song but you know that all ready bro 😢
WHEY JENNINGS DOES A BEAUTIFUL SONG LEAD ME HOME.
Beautiful ❤
You all did a great reaction to this I have always loved this song, you should react to Jason Isbell If We We’re Vampires.
He wrote this song for his cousin that passed away & further you should hear his rendition of the song with Randy Houser.
The song was written by Craig Monday, and Randy Houser
It’s the story telling
My life in color
I can't wait to stand on that mountain.. m
That's what makes him loveable
