The Pistons haven't been good in the last decade and never sellout anymore, most Tigers and Pistons home games are full of opposing fans. The only professional team in Detroit that still fills up the stadium every game are the Lions. Detroit is absolutely not a top 5 city when it comes to fan loyalty in this day and age

i think this was only about cities, not countries. Without ppl from around the country, toronto would never have had the biggest championship parade ever. As a frequent traveller around canada and the us, these are my 5: boston, sanfran/oakland, new york, philly, and detroit with very special consideration to dallas. Toronto somewhere in the top 10 though for sure.

@@bigdripbobz1072 honestly you could attribute the parade to fans from all over the country but canadas a hockey country and routinely in the playoffs the raptors arena will sell out with an additional 50k people cheering outside in bad weather, I doubt people come from all over Canada to cheer outside a stadium during like the first round. All that to say I would assume that most of them are Torontonians especially because basketball has support here because of the melting pot Toronto is but its definitely not as supported everywhere else in Canada in my opinion

True, but one thing Boston had going for it was that you guys had a Championship in every major sport in a 10 year period in the not-so-recent past. Chicago and Boston are very comparable sports fan bases.
In Cleveland no team at all had won for over 50 years Chicago at least had the bears and bulls, and Boston is spoiled in sports, Cleveland has been through way to much in sports, and yet they still sellout stadiums.

Cleveland fans brought a whole NFL team back to the city, over a million fans showed up to the 2016 championship parade for the Cavs and the 90s Indians fans were some of these best ever. Clevelands attendance to games was record setting for years. Mad Dog know what he's talking about

I would’ve found a way to get Steelers fans on this list because it’s scary how well traveled that fanbase is. I’m a Texans fan and I remember a couple years ago we played the Steelers at home on Christmas and the stadium looked and sounded like we were the road team 🤦🏾♂️

Chicago is literally the most consistent when it comes to attendance. They literally even take over other nearby cities like Milwaukee, Indianapolis, and Detroit. Like even the Bulls and Bucks playoff series had just as much if not more Bulls fans at Bucks home games
And we definitely criticize our teams. No one hates the Bears and their organization more than Bears fans, their offense gets booed multiple times per game, and Bulls fans literally just had the fire GarPax movement

I agree Boston should be in the top 5 but Cleveland 100% deserves to be there as well. Have you ever been to Cleveland? There’s literally nothing to do here BUT cheer for the sports teams. Boston fans have had it easy because their teams are always good, but Cleveland teams consistently suck and they fans are still just as passionate.
And the Browns have a fanbase meetup group internationally and all over the country. There’s a bar near Wrigely in Chicago that’s packed full of Browns fans and they roll 200 deep every time.

As a Yankees fan born in NYC, Boston should be on this list. Sox, Celtics, Bruins... the fans are passionate and real. Not always particularly respectful (which can be said for all these towns, to be fair) but deeply passionate.

Hi I'm from Cleveland and in 2:19, Mad Dog stated we don't have a hockey team. Excuse me but where was he for the last 15 years. We have one, the one time AHL Calder Cup Champs Lake Erie/Cleveland Monsters who are the minor league affiliates of the Columbus Blue Jackets and former affiliates to the Colorado Avalanche. Even before them we had the San Jose minor league team of the Cleveland Barons and before them the IHL Cleveland Lumberjacks. So Mad Dog you might have wanted to do some research before you say that it bothers you that we don't have a hockey team.
This list is insane. They have no idea every Chicago team has fans that go out of their way to show in enemy territory to cheer for their team, regardless if they stink or not.
They even have a capability to drown out cheers from hometown fans.
