Excellent! I can see the wing is keeping it's shape much better and then just before 9 minutes you mention it too, the corners are filled nicely. I'm just curious if it's still a wing you can easily transition to from an ILE wing. From your summary, it sounds like it is overall better.
sup bud! it def flies better! so coming from a LEI wing, it will be better with the mod than it comes stock. but it's def it's own animal. if you have enough wind, the right foil, it certainly makes it easier. I still prefer LEI winging! I wanna use this for dw'ing but I love shredding with a wing... it's so much easier. thanks bud, I wish you an awesome day!!
I’ve had one session with the upgrade and first session in bumps. Super fun and going upwind was very comparable to my wing, much more so than before by a good margin. Definitely more confidence inspiring in gusty conditions.
awesome! and agreed! it's a nice change for sure. I only had 2 sessions with it and I was overpowered on this first one and even more overpowered on the second sesh so I'm hoping for a "normal" sesh soon to see what I can do for upwind. but in general I have no complaints on the new setup. I hope all is well with you bud, I wish you an awesome weekend!!
Thank you. Been following your videos. I am riding the 4.0m for a few sessions now and am stoked with the new bridle configuration. Improves upwind, depower, and control. My gybing is coming but not solid - can you post on gybing? Would love to hear your thoughts on gybing technique.
YES! awesome to hear everyone is stoked on it! and I have no problem posting on jibes as soon as I get them dialed. there's currently this X factor when I'm jibing, and I'm trying to dial that in. the new bridle mod makes me more consistent, but when things go wrong, I'm still trying to figure out what I'm doing. so hopefully more soon! thanks bud, good luck to you and yr PW and I wish you an awesome day!!
lol I hope it takes a while for v2 to come out since I've already acquired 2 of these. it wasn't bad before, but def better now. the creasing could be cause it's a 5.1m cause I don't think I noticed that the other day on my 2.9m thanks bud, I wish you an awesome weekend!!
haha well honestly we just don't have epic conditions around here for it but I'm still gonna keep trying. one of these days I'm bound to get a wow session with it. fingers crossed. I want it to be awesome. but yeah, totally safe to wait IMO. it is getting better. thanks bud, I wish you an awesome day!!
@@OCEANBOUND1 our conditions and for that matter the safer DW conditions are the lighter end 15knots. Hoping the v2 parawing flies suitably. No rush. Appreciate all you do Jeremy.
point noted, but man I really love including music in my videos. it's part of the experience I want to make for people, I'm doing what I like. and it makes the editing process more enjoyable :) thanks for the comment, I wish you an awesome rest of your day!
First comment whoop whoop 😊The brm is probably sold stock for people who never used kites but you understand how to fly a kite, just my guess. Me and Grant were talking about making a para wing to use as a back up for dw winging in case of a blowout, so I wanted to ask what's the upwind like while taxiing on knees Would it be possible to get back to shore if wind was offshore in your opinion. Awesome vid bro ,thanks for sharing 😊 hope you and fam are well
woot woot, thanks Chris!! you and Grant should totally give that a try, it'd be a fun learning experience. but so many lines to attach, potentially headache inducing, beware. and yeah like I think it's a great and a relatively easy-to-carry fallback plan to get home in conditions. you can def go upwind with it. it's a little frustrating missing a jibe and then sometimes you lose a lot of ground when getting back on foil. but I just got my dw board back and it's def easier than my ML was so maybe it will become less of a thing. anyway, 1st post, love it. thanks so much bud, I wish you and yr crew an awesome weekend!
@OCEANBOUND1 thanks mate just the info I needed 👍 don't mind the bridal I used to make depower kites like the ozone manta/or frenzy from big fixed bridel kites few decades ago haha. Good winds bro
You nailed it. "Greg marches to the tune of a different drummer": why would he use vimeo?. Probably because its better. LOL Same reason he was riding small, turny kites long before anyone else. Looking forward to watching you fly that wing in waves. Pack a hook knife
Haha yeah totally. I'm a big Greg fan, I probably don't come off as such. I just gave a friend of my one my last Clouds (it's blowing his mind). But even though I haven't kited in a few years, I can't bring myself to let go of my 4.8m. He's a mad scientist in an awesome way. the Vimeo thing is mostly a joke and makes me smile, but it is a little weird he's launching some PW things on Vimeo and others on YT. Looking forward to riding my Maliko in bumps!! I keep missing potential sessions. Family and work. Fingers crossed. Will bring a hook knife. lol. It's already in my Vaikobi. Thanks bud, I wish you an awesome day!
Thanks for being a test pilot on these! I'm holding out to let competitors and BRM V2 dial in the parawing. I noticed that you have not been using tail shims lately, what're your thoughts on that? Thanks again for your research!
no prob bud! I'm here to help :P no tail shims... I got to ride waves a few weeks ago with Gage from the Armstrong team. he uses a 140 with no shims, and when asked about that, he says he always rides the 140 (and even a 140 chopped) with no shims, they don't need it and it gives a little more stability. he shims his other stabs, especially like the 205. so, intrigued, I started to try no shim on the dart and I def like it and it doesn't feel draggy at all. I'm gonna continue to rock it for like the next month and will then switch back and see what I like. that sesh kinda broke down some opinions I previously had, now I feel compelled to rethink shimming or at least dabble a little more with it. thanks bud, I wish you an awesome weekend!!

Thank you OB

Interesting -- keep on testing for me 😂 thanks have a good weekend

@@fluiditynz what we saw in early days of wingfoil was a huge exodus from windsurfing. The BRM v2 will likely do the same for the kite fraternity

The V2 parawing will probably have a revised canopy to remove that creasing. Looks like it handles soooo much better OB.

Looks good. How long is your harness line?
Sup bud! I haven’t forgotten you, just needed to measure. From bar to bar mine is about 33 inches long.
Any chance you would consider not adding the electronic beats to future videos?
enjoy bruh
