I’ve got one. It’s fab! When repositioning the main beam. Make sure you move it by the whole thing and don’t pull the material around it at it rips really easy. I paid the hole whack! Silly me! Also being disabled it’s very easy to put up! Wonderful! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Nice one joules nice size awning for those short weekend breaks and easy to dry out vat home in the garden if u had to take it down in the rain in all nice awning .kev
Nice one Jules, re awning rail, I have a small bottle brush which sweeps it clean and then an application of Mr Sheen or similar makes awning glide into rail. 👍
Great video and the awning seemed really easy to put up. It’s a good option for when a smaller awning is needed like for 1-2 nights away. Look forward to your next video👍
Nice one jules, great for as you said for a weekend. Always better to put the awning up especially having a dog just so you can dry the dog off. Would be great to see longer pulling cords at either end of awning track for easy reach for smaller people.
Thanks NG, yes great for when Fudge is wet and muddy! Karina says she would need a ladder to reach up there, being tall I take for granted how easy it is. Thanks for watching 👍
Hey Jules, Another great vlog fella. We got rid of our 280 Valkala, we found it too bright in direct sun, the zips snagged on each other, we just didn't feel comfortable in it, gone back to a Dorema All season. Each to there own. All the best, Black Country Dave
Thanks Dave, Dorema are well made so a good choice. Ive never tried a Valkala, looking forward to getting this one back up for next week and testing it in the rain. 😊👍
Nice one Jules, very thorough review :) perfect size for quick breaks, always nice to have a door covering to be able to find keys out of the rain plus extra space for fudge for you guys. Vango make very good products (e.g. decent chunky air beams, zipped curtains) and compared to other brands include a lot of things which would be optional extras so sometimes look pricey at first but actually good value, our favourite tent was one of their polycotton ones :)
Looks a nice kit, everything included. Will say, we have gone away from the air awning, because of the size of the air pole. For us they seem to intrude too much into the living space. Love your channel. 👍
Yeah its like having a porch with double doors to your house cuts down on heat loss for those camping especially outside the summertime season and seems well sealed against draughts.
Good video. Interesting that the peg ladders were already in. Our SunnCamp we got at the show didn't have them in originally so need to put them all in before first setting it up.
We were really pleased with the Vango awnings, they would still be our go to for an air awning, ours never let any water in, we resealed our Kalari once. Its worth going to have a look at it. Air awnings are still quite heavy, even a 350, but once its pulled through the awning rail its easy. If you do get it and then need any help on the first go Jules will give you a hand. 😊👍
Good one Jules... ✅ 👍🏻 Still not sure about the whole awning thing tbh, I have to say my experiences so far have not been favourable. Hence why we have invested in the longer Fiamma Canopy and we’ll see how we go this year... 🤷🏼♂️ Thanks for sharing your new Vango efforts with us though! Cheers, Rog... 👍🏻 😉 🐍
Thanks Rog, it certainly is a personal choice. We like an awning due to having Fudge and somewhere to sit out. This smaller one is easy to put up for sure. The only thing with awnings is worrying if bad weather sweeps in and packing away when they are wet. The roll out canopies are good, especially if you’re heading to Europe. 😊👍
Hi Jules. Great informative review again. I really like the look of these vango awnings!! They pay a lot of attention to detail. Little things like the velcro on the draft skirt and also including rock pegs instead of the flimsy metal or plastic pegs. Would be interested for you to let us know what the condensation is like on these cold mornings. Our @KampaUK is terrible!! I would sacrifice single point inflation for a dry awning and furniture in the morning. I think we will definitely consider a vango for our next awning purchase!! Again great video mate and keep em coming!! 👍🦖🦕🥋
Thanks Gareth, yeah ive always been impressed with the Vango awnings. I will let you know about condensation too, the vents in the top do help with air flow. Cheers for watching 👍🦖
Hi good vid couple of questions we’ve got the 350 which is identical having difficulty in fitting the The phone draft excluder that goes up against the caravan with the three triangle pieces and the strap we don’t seem to be able to fit it properly any advice also the draft six Tudor on the bottom appears to be too big for our awning have you come across this? Thanks for your help Tony
Hi Tony, there are a few good vlogs about the Vango Draft Seal System that may help you. I found it was all about getting the right tension against the pads with the triangles, and that was trial and error at first on a Vango Montelena. Once it worked it was very good at supporting the pad. I don’t know about the draught skirt being too long, I haven’t had that myself, it usually finishes where the awning meets the caravan. If it’s too long going down towards the floor then you can tuck that under the awning carpet. SorryI cannot be much more use to you but it’s harder to explain than demonstrate. Hopefully you will be able to get some idea from other YT vlogs of the draught system, Attwolls and Vango have some videos. Take care, Jules
Thanks Andy, to be fair this was the easiest awning I’ve ever put up, probably because its nice and compact. Just having one inflation beam meant it was up in no time too. When I packed it up that was much easier too as there was no air trapped in the beams. We are away with it all next week for the show so it will be a good test of it 👍
Jules, did you ever do a longer term review of the Montelena? Don’t remember seeing one. Great video as usual and I love Vango awnings (their tents are good as well!)
Hi Paul, I didn’t get chance to do a follow up but found the Montelena an excellent large awning. Nothing failed on it, it withstood an awful storm in Cornwall and kept the rain out. I found the ventilation very good too. For a family the space is almost unbeatable. With it being square I also found it easy to fold up to pack away. Its a good awning and worth the price. 👍
Thanks Chris, I find with Vango you get what you pay for. A good time to buy if when last years models are being cleared too. We saved about £280 when we bought our Kalari. Shopping around online is always a good idea too. 👍
Great review but as regards the awning I lost interest once I seen you blowing up a second tube. Ive a 4 metre awning and one inflation point is the only way.
Andy Blair thats all well and good until you get a puncture. With the single ones you can keep most of the awning up, whilst you effect a repair. I “assume” with just one inflation point, the entire awning falls to the ground.

Good size.. looked to be a good awning 👍🏼😃 Thanks for sharing! Michelle and Andy
Thanks Guys 😊

Great review Jules it's a nice looking awning really neat, idea for weekends or short mid week breaks.
Best wishes Jon and Karen
Thanks Jon 👍

Looks a nice kit, everything included. Will say, we have gone away from the air awning, because of the size of the air pole. For us they seem to intrude too much into the living space. Love your channel. 👍

Watching this with interest, seen a used 350 for £200, used, locally and considering it.

Should be just right for us and Fudge..cheers Phil 👍

Could this be Used as an all season awning. There re only 2 of us so just want a small porch awning for all year 😀 great review as always 😀
Thanks Jason, yes you could use this through winter, and its a good sized awning for two people. It was easy to put up and take down. 👍 Jules
Here we Tow Thanks for that Jules. I think it could be the one for us 😃😃
I would recommend it, otherwise it would be a small Isabella porch awning due to their quality. 👍

Hi Jules, Is there anything you disliked or found awkward on the initial review? It does seem like a good awning for the price.👍
Thanks Andy, to be fair this was the easiest awning I’ve ever put up, probably because its nice and compact. Just having one inflation beam meant it was up in no time too. The good lady and myself are at the show on Friday,I’ll say hello if I see you two.
We’re having a meet up on Friday, 12.30 midday in the Camping Zone hall 5...come along if you’re free

Thanks for the review and it looks a nice awning but the price is very high maybe Im being tight

Good size and prefer it to a Kampa.
Where's the beach?
Sadly the beach was miles away! We are heading to the beach in March though!
Great review but as regards the awning I lost interest once I seen you blowing up a second tube. Ive a 4 metre awning and one inflation point is the only way.
Thanks Andy, that’s fair enough, Vango uses separate beams internally in their awnings. Not for everyone I know. 👍
Andy Blair thats all well and good until you get a puncture. With the single ones you can keep most of the awning up, whilst you effect a repair. I “assume” with just one inflation point, the entire awning falls to the ground.
Anthony Gardham Nope, a valve at every junction, just isolate the tube that has the hole using the turn valve 🤷🏻♂️
@@Baldyonabike That's well thought out
That is nothing more than a porch, not what i woul call an awning.
Thats right Dennis, its a porch awning 👍
