      Hi Colin. It is a good awning for the money. It is well made and lightweight at 16.1kg. We are looking forward to taking on quite a few trips. It will be interesting to see how it fares. Thanks again Phil👍🙂

      Hi Rob. Nice one. This Awning sits in the middle of the market and just less £500.00 it has a lot to offer especially Newcomers or the more experienced. Thanks for watching Phil👍

    Good review Phil. Looks a nice awning and like that it has a single point of inflation. Will look forward to seeing how you get on with it this season. Regards, J&P

    Good video Phil. I see it has the single point inflation which we have on our4 year old Kampa Air Pro but the auto release valve so you don't over inflate is an excellent addition. Like the reflective roof. It will be interesting to see if that continues to keep the heat out. Will be following your progress with it.

    Hi Phil, great review, looks a great awning, we have been thinking of getting a drive away awning (lightweight) for a long time now just to give us a bit more space & shelter from the cold breeze, wind out canopy have there use but no shelter from cold breeze 😱 unless you start with wind breakers 👍

    Great review Phil looking forward to seeing how you get on with the air awning during the season. We keep considering changing to an air awning but our new secondhand one is in good condition, it's easier to use than our original awning but still causes a few arguments when erecting.
    Best wishes

    Good video, I had this on my short list, but due to lack of video's and reviews, I plumped for an Outwell instead.
    Not sure if it's the same on yours, but on the Outwell they recommended the triangular piece at the bottom is designed to go inside the awning to help get a better seal with the draught skirt

    • @lostweekendscaravan
      @lostweekendscaravan  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Graham. Thanks for watching. I look at this on my channel last year but it was only a brief look. I am unsure about the triangle I will speak to Out revolution and try get answer you could be right. That was the first outing with me. Thanks for letting me know and thanks again. Phil😀😀

    Hi Phil nice video. I bought a Kampa 390 + . I really like it but one important thing people need to check is, how heavy is it ? My awning is big when packed and it weighs 40 kg. I’m thankfully physically fit and healthy so can move it about and get it in the car but it takes effort. I used to store my awning in the loft space in the garage but lifting a large bag, 40kg over your head whilst using step ladders is a no no. I have to keep it in the house now and upstairs, it’s not easy getting it up and down. How heavy is this awning your reviewing. I only mention weight and size when packed as some people may consider an “Air Awning” to be a softer option, ease of putting up etc. Thankfully we have reviewers like yourself to help us with our choices. Hope my comments are helpful.

    • @lostweekendscaravan
      @lostweekendscaravan  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Colin. Thanks for watching this awning weighs in at 16.1 kg so it is a lot lighter and easy to handle. I can put this up on my own with any help. It is easy to fold away but it is well made. I feel your pain carrying 40kg about. We store this one on the spare bedroom and it takes hardly any space. Thanks again. Phil👍🙂

    Further to your video reviews we've bought Sportlite 400 air awning.
    Q- Have you bought the poles as described in the video? If so, are they good?

    • @lostweekendscaravan
      @lostweekendscaravan  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi I did not buy the poles I already had some from my previous Kampa Awning so I used them. I can't say wether Outdoor Revs are any good. Sorry Phil🙂👍

    Hi Phil, Nice awnings but not sure if XL gives enough clearance for door to open. Door opens 640mm wide and 200mm from railing...would the double pitch allow enough clearance to open the door ..?

    • @lostweekendscaravan
      @lostweekendscaravan  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Brenda If your is in the same location as mine and opens to the left the clearance would be tight. If it opens to the right there should be no issues. Hope this helps. Phil👍🙂

      @brendabaxter8780 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@lostweekendscaravan Thanks for your response but still a little unsure. The door does open to the right however it is the top clearance I'm worried about as wouldn't want it to drag on the awning roof...does this make more sense ? Brenda

    • @lostweekendscaravan
      @lostweekendscaravan  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Brenda. Yes it makes sense, perhaps you are better visiting a caravan Dealer and seeking their advice plus they may suggest an alternative. Thanks Phil👍🙂

    Looks great ! May sound silly but when it’s in the bag packed away , how are you lifting it around for example putting in the car ? It’s something I never thought about with mine and I find it a real handful! But I would imagine yours would be lighter
    Like it ! Ah yea just read your comment under that answers the question

    • @lostweekendscaravan
      @lostweekendscaravan  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Gavin. This is a lightweight yet strong air awning. It weighs just over 14 kg so handling is not an issue at all. Also packing it away is quite easy too. Hope this helps. Phil👍🙂

    Cannot agree with your review. Air awnings are always floppy and need so much guy rope support. The material is also so much lightweight compared to, say, an Isabella. Is it possible to be completely honest when giving reviews if you feel the manufacturers will not give products unless given the thumbs up. I don't mean to doubt your integrity but poles are always better than air in my opinion.

    • @lostweekendscaravan
      @lostweekendscaravan  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hello John. I do agree they do need more guys ropes. I wouldn't say they are floppy though. If they are floppy they have not been erected properly. The material is completely different to a Pole awning no matter who makes them. Pole awnings are slightly quicker to put (see Dan Trudgians recent video) I have not compared this awning to a pole one. I personally prefer Air awnings. I have been honest in my findings so far and Outdoor Revolution have not interfered with my content or seen any videos prior to release. If they would have insisted on this I would not have undertaken my reviews. I do have a final conclusion video to record very soon and again the Company have no idea what I am going to say. I will say I do not review products on my channel unless I solely control the Content and it is a Product I feel is worth sharing. Thanks for your comment Phil

      The problem with pole awnings is the damage they can do to the caravan, as I've found out to my cost. An air awning is far more forgiving in a storm and often bounces back into shape. I had to write off a very good pole awning last season and had to carry out a lot of repairs to my van. The UK has a lot of storms and strong winds and we have to mitigate the damage.
