Same here, love the taste and smell of freshly baked bread. There was also a bakery we went to on Sunday mornings, fresh from the oven. I always got told off for eating the middle bit whilst it was still hot before we got home. Delicious.
I know we all need the big factory's. The world couldn't survive on just the little people making every food and products we all use today. But its a shame so many have just died out. Some traditions & old ways, are going to be lost for eternity...
An artisan skill! We would be willing to pay extra for bread like this. It's nice to see the return of a few artisan bakeries that make their products from scratch, but none near me - nor do any of them use a wood fired oven. Feb. 2023
