I really wish they did more with the mystery girl, it really felt like it was left unsolved or they could have gone farther. Though I understand it kinda mainly because she does resemble rose. But I feel they could have mini drama because of that anyways idk I'm not very smart but it feels like a lost opportunity.

Garnet posed for onion's gang because of her future vision. I love all the small little garnet details that remind you of it without outright saying it

@@ShizuruNakatsu I think they meant it more like, everyone else was surprised because they didn't know it was just a bunch of kids but Garnet had her future vision which she regularly uses just to make sure steven is okay so she happened to know what they up to hence why she posed and everything
To my knowledge, a lot of people don't like uncle Andy. I personally find him to be a really great character given his limited screen time
I totally agree
Andy as a character isn't really a big deal, but the episode came out in November of 2016, while the mostly-american audience was struggling to deal with their actual relatives who expressed more toxic versions of some of the things Andy says in the episode. The idea of trying to connect with hostil relatives really leaves a bitter taste in your mouth when your actual relatives don't seem to believe people you care about are human, you know?

He was meant to be a caricature of Trump supporters; which was sad because the creators failed to see that most of the hate in political discourse comes from Leftists who project these stereotypes onto Trump supporters.
@@illzalith8301 If that's the case, I wouldn't even consider those people "family" in the first place. Family is something that has to be earned. They don't have a right to be in your life just because of some biological blood relation. If they have a problem with who you are, or who you love, or even if they're just not good for you for whatever reason - you have no obligation to keep them in your life. I'm not really one for the "traditional family" trope, if that's not right for you, it doesn't have to be. And the whole "family first" thing is kind of toxic anyway, because it's almost like it's telling you to stay with people even if they're bad for you, based on some arbitrary relation.
If I can remember correctly back when the episode aired, the Pearl episode was a collaboration between the team and the band who sang the song used, hence why it was themed around the song the whole time

I mean his only human friend that he hangs out with is Connie(Onion is not human we both know)
What about all the other ones? (Sadie, Lars, Jenny, etc) Yet, in terms of human friends with similar age to Steven, theres only Connie (And maybe Pete XD)

The leaked title "Gem Harvest" seemed far more ominous than what turned out to be.
Remember back in Space Race, Greg explained that the barn belonged to his uncle and aunt. Andy (their son) may be miffed at the barn and its stuff being used, but he could hardly expect to go away for twenty years and not expect it to be picked to pieces by the locals...Greg seems to have been the only member of the DeMayos to have kept an eye on the place.
Steven Universe is Steven's real name since he was born with it. Keep in mind, there's a reason that Greg said to Steven in The Return: "Be careful, or I'll run fresh out of family."
I accidentally got pulled into a mosh pit on a St. Paddys day show seeing an Irish punk band and at least at The Metro(in Chicago) There were these huge dudes(not employees just fans) all around the outside of the pit just watching to make sure no one was punching, no one was wearing anything spiky or dangerous, and that no one was pushed to the ground. as soon as I was pulled in one of the guys saw me, we made eye contact and he held his thumb up then down asking if I was ok. I was totally fine, I was just jumping and bumping my way back to my friends so I held up a thumbs up to him and he smiled and let me be. I feel like most people try not to be TOO violent in the mosh pit because if it does it gets shut down real quick and ruins the fun for everyone.

so u know mike krol is an actually musician and the creators (or there family member i forget) liked the music and were able to put it in so they mad a episode about going to his concert which is awesome
1:37 No, loud noises make me stressed, being physically touched makes me uncomfortable, standing idle for a good amount of time makes me bored. A mosh pit is essentially the best combination to make me get pissed off.
I guess you don't know, Pearl may not like eating but she loves baking apple pie, so to say she'll drink apple juice isn't far fetched

all the concerts I’ve been to I purchased seats, mostly to avoid getting crushed in the pit. each one was very fun though and the weird sensation in your ears after it’s all over where it feels like your head is underwater is so fun lol

I am totally with you on mosh pits, I stay as far away from those as possible. Meanwhile my best friend loves going to metal concerts, he's usually right on the barrier and has even crowdsurfed and been part of a human wall (two groups of people just running right at each other)

I understand both sides of Greg and Andy. I'd be upset if noone told me about their new life and what was going on, on the other hand, I understand Greg for not telling Andy because it would be too complicated and confusing for Andy.
honestly, i think moshpits sound fun, and though ive had the opportunity to be in one or whatever, as a girl its not a very safe space lmao
but also, i love uncle andy. i know hes kind of rude and lowkey racist but i personally dont really think he does anything THAT wrong (in terms of being angry). I feel like most people wpuld probably react the same way if your weird distant relative brought some people into your familys space and they "ruined" everything. and!!! i feel like he comes around a LOT faster than anyone else would, hes just an old, kind of bitter man and i wish he got more screentime
Uncle Andy feels like his bigotry is more out of ignorance than malice. Like, he’s not used to people that are different, but if he got to spend more time out of his comfort zone, he’d be better.
Im a woman and have been moshing since I was 11, there are actual rules to moshing, its incredibly an open and Safe space for girls and women. Being a man doesn't save you from injury in a pit, it doesn't matter if you're a girl.. Mosh pits are a form of expression and everyone is welcome
I agree with him on the part about the plane being ruined. But I don't like people who class others into categories/labels and judge them as such (aliens, hippies, hobos, etc). It would be better to just see them as people. And I don't like the whole nationalism thing so the "you couldn't even marry an American?" thing also doesn't sit right with me. I just don't like the kind of people who think one country is superior to another, or people from different countries should be treated differently in any way. Like yeah, he has a right to be upset, but I don't agree with those aspects of his personality.
@@artbyuniverse02 My dad's a metal guitarist, and while moshing is personally not my thing, my younger sister has done it without issues. It's a fun space.

Last One Out of Beach City may be filler, but it's the best filler episode of the whole series IMO. It's so much fun and Pearl is so good in it!
The show takes place in a fictional city called Delmarva, which in reality would be the DMV, and plays off Ocean City Maryland where technically Steven is from. But the cousin Andy gives me a jersey vibe
The fictional U.S. State where Beach City is located is Delmarva (based on DELaware, MARyland and VirginiA), named after the real-life peninsula east of Chesapeake Bay. Beach City itself is inspired by several coastside towns on the Delmarva peninsula, but especially Rehoboth Beach.

about mosh pits, they sadly have been spoiled, when they're done in a nice environment it's less aggressive and more fun intended, in an awful environment where drunks, wannabe tough guys and such meet up it's about punching and kicking and not sharing a sense of camaderie.
In a good mosh pit, no one falls to the ground and someones does, they're helped immediately and removed if they want to, any douchebag or drunk person are removed asap, cuz it's about everyone enjoying the music and let is loose.
i saw Aries and tsunamibitchclub in Brisbane city last year, my first moshpit. maybe this is an Australian culure thing but we've all got a brotherhood and look out for eachother. and also there wasn't any punching thats wild.

When my friend invited me to a rock show it was pretty cool. There wasn't people pushing into each other, but it was a small audience but it was still hype like I enjoyed the music a lot and there was times that called for some jumping if you felt like it but like the audience was a little reluctant. To me it seemed like it was cuz they weren't a large or very famous band but that didn't matter to me music just makes me hype altogether so I wasn't being very shy. And my friend invited us cuz she was invited cuz she knew the artist. And it was just casual hanging and chatting afterwards like it was in a garage type of place and it was connected to a small crystal shop. So it was really cool and intimate but it was still lit. They had all the lights and speakers and what not to make a full show. I know I had fun. Haha. Another time we went it was at a bar but it was still a little bit of people and the artist still had to hype it up themselves cuz of the lack of energy. That's the only thing I couldn't stand like everyone was being stiff kind of. But still I liked it. Took a pic with one of them.

Many people rag on Rocknaldo for being the worst episode of the series, but honestly I really do not like Onion Gang. Onion's friends never come back, and though they are interesting they don't show much personality. If they came back I'd be more fond of this episode but it's one of the only episodes I skip on rewatch. I was honestly surprised that you said it was one of the better Onion episodes since it's my least favorite episode of the whole series
