One year later this is still an incredibly helpful and fun video to watch. I'm around the same level of basic knowledge as the patron in this video, and you guys had a great dynamic in the way that questions were asked and answered. Very helpful, thanks!
At ~39:00 you mention trig being for laser mavericks -- they too can be auto-lased; you press and keep pressed the weapon release button, and they will fire, with the laser kicking in when it needs to. Other than "buddy-lasing", and "I used to play F16 and don't know any better", I don't really see use for a manual laser. Great video, as usual. I really enjoy watching these, and learn something new in every one.

Been bookmarking all sorts of videos from the channel to learn and will definitely be checking out the patreon because this level of content for sure takes so much time.

I’ve been playing the F16 for a while now, and so I got the hang of AA and AG with laser-guided bombs with the TGP and so I thought I would give the F18 a try and do the same things and I’ve had problems with laser-guided bombs and this video explained everything with tips and more. Awesome, thank you so much!!
Thanks to your videos, my friend I flew with for the first time kept forgetting I was new to DCS. Spent many hours in chucks guide, watching your vids and some others, most of these ground attack vids have helped me a ton! Might look into patron soon to get myslef a training flight with ya, prob fly some with my friend and make note of where I need improvements. He teaches me a lot too, but the way you do your training is on par with how I like to be shown, by doing it, can't learn to swim with dry feet!

I think the time has come for me to invest in your patreon, im having alot of trouble finding people to fly with as most pvp servers have their own closed groups and dont much like new players. i think for me social anxiety plays a part but i really want to get in to the pvp and the propper comms callouts etc. im okay in a pve environment but i need to step up my game and also fly full fidelity models bc im strongly convinced the fun is in multiplayer and the full fidelity models

I really suggest you to at least pick up a beginner joystick, Ive started with a Thrustmaster T flight hotas used is like 40 bucks or so, you will still have to use your keyboard for harder tasks but its really worth it.
hey spud i'm about a month old in DCS .. i have the f-18 as a free trail and training on it with the in game training missions .. u can say i learned few thing but of course not perfectly the r two issues that i'm struggling with ... 1 when i'm flying when i'm flying the plane does not keep straight it keeps going slowly up and down the horizon is a normal thing or ther's something i can do to level it 2 when im loaded with a number of bombs and release one the plane starts to move the more loaded wing side .. bcuz of the weigh dffrence .. so how to fix that ? note : i dont fly with HOTAS ... i only use my mouse and keyboard
@@yasinamr5457 You could trim the plane also but you are better off throwing it into autopilot as for the key binds for trimming I don’t know the default keys I use my joystick keys.
It's perfectly adequat for the casual gamer. He gives the general knowledge and understanding for sim flying and some additional stuff. Going deeper into systems, you need to fmstudy yourself a lot.
Hello there, is anybody has that problem with DCS v2.8 that the bombs vertical line not fits to the targetting rectangle? sometimes far away from that. In this case the tpod picture with targetted diamond also far away from the target at hud's diamond....Is that an issue? if you toggle the bombs back off again code will remain bottom left and allow you to code all the bombs at the same time

Where does it show the master caution error? I hear the sound and it goes off but I dont see anywhere where it tells me what the issue was?

Yep! As long as the GBU and the Laser are on the same Code it will track!
I've play on keyboard on the carrier taking off and try to land drop bombs etc it's hard. But I'm learning slow 🐌

To counter the weight differential you must trim the plane right if you are heavy on the left etc.
