I wouldn’t tell you if I knew, it can be an uncomfortable or embarrassing thing for you to admit to a person. So, chances are, if they do know, they probably wouldn’t tell you, because they care about you and don’t want you to feel embarrassed. Of course, this depends entirely on the person, if they are sensitive to people’s emotions.
I did that to many people, and people did that to me, not because we admire eachother, but because sometimes it was the right thing to do at the moment.
I get protected by lots of students and rarely am asked for advice. I also am praised by some and spoken highly of, as they dont even try to hide it. Some try to mirror some of my actions but dont really succeed but hey, im just glad people like being around me
I have a tendency to "mirror" people. I'm not sure why exactly. I feel it's a way of connecting with people. I'm not always conscious of it. I find if I'm around someone for more than a few days I will start to use "their" phrases or start picking up similar speaking patterns. Sometimes it's because I like someone as more than a friend, and sometimes not. It might just be taking an interest in another person and showing respect. If you're not sure why someone is "admiring" you, have a conversation with them. The more you get to know the person, the more you will find out about how they might feel about you. And if it's not what you were hoping for, at least you might have a good friend!

He's just so confident and smart and seems to make friends easily. I'm definitely not trying to BECOME him though. I just really like his personality i guess. idk it's weird.
1. He uses my catchphrases and we finish the catch phrase for each other often 2. He invited me to his band and apparently said I was a really good saxophonist 3. My little sister frequently mirrors me. When I got a skateboard, she wanted one too. When I asked for piano lessons, she asked for them too. The thing about mirroring is the person is never happy about what they’re doing, because instead of doing what they want, they do what you want.
When few people I'm still in touch with tell good things about me I always doubt it and think they may be hypocrites. I'm always so suspicious and ill-thinking about others

Yep. I intentionally mirror my best friends behavior. In all my lives, I never met someone so charismatic and responsible as him, and I want to be like him so I begun to "mirror" his actions. Helping people, listening to people, and praise people when they did something good.
You know what. I ain't even surprised that no one does anyone of these. People only do the second one because they look down on me and want me to do better for them and a good mental will do that
People use others for their own personal gain, yeah. Both of my narcissistic parents, and my narcissistic older brother literally FLOCK to me for validation and approval because we make a perfect storm. Me being here, on this video, you can imagine I have an interest in personality awareness and self-improvement and such. All it took was me revealing my interests eight years ago for me to get bombarded with them presenting me with their needs for pretty much a decade. We all slip into natural behaviors without realizing it... Families and friends tend to support eachother, even in the ugliest of ways.. Your comment makes it sound like these people need someone to look down on, or guide, for whatever reason. So often do mentors become dark. Learn more about your situation but be careful how you act with your newfound knowledge: there would probably be no good in antagonizing people you depend on. Knowledge is power, act weak when you are strong and they'll expose themselves again and again, revealing their worst to you, strengthening your knowledge of them and your situation. My advice: Keep learning. I would look for people who simply want to understand you, who resonate with you and have no underlying agenda in communicating with you. It won't be easy, but keep searching and they'll show.
FR THOUGH, like even though these cues are sweet and all and incdicate admiration most of the time mimicking, seeking approval are signs of envy. But I could be seeing the negative part of others.
Mirroring is also a trait of a narcissist. They are very charming and can make you feel admired. They speak highly of you and put you on a pedestal. They can seem protective, but it's more possessive. All that said, while it is nice being admired, you should always be cautious and aware of an admirers intentions. I learned the hard way. Hence, my need for this channel.
Most people dont necessarily like me, but im very quiet and sweet so they dont hate me either. Though some ppl who have beef with me stood up for me and one even complimented me LMAO
The opposite happens to me since I am surrounded by Narcs. I treat people the best and go out of my way to do so. The opposite of admiration is jealousy.
No… but I’ve noticed how I do just about all of these with one friend. He’s probably aware that I just really look up to him, which is probably why over the couple years I’ve known him he’s only once commented on how I tend to mimic a lot of things about him.

I look up to him so much because he is an extrovert and he's so confident and amazing. I love talking to him and everything but I'm honestly really awkward around him. Maybe its because we don't normally talk but many people in my class assume that I like him just because when I'm overwhelmed at recess or lunch I'll just stare over at him and his friends. For some reason it gives me comfort? I don't know. Sometimes I'll doodle him in my sketch book smth when my friends are being too much. I'm not sure if this is an obsession or just... Normal admiration? Sometimes I'm not even sure I ever understand why just hearing his loud voice brings a smile to my face.
Doubt anyone will see this but: I recently got into drawing and put them on my snapchat story- they're absolutely awful. But this girl in my class has viewed and replied to every one of them- I don't really interact with anyone in my class.. but seeing her go out of her way to view and compliment them brought a genuine smile to my face- despite me thinking I'm the class weirdo. Compliments have impact. Don't underestimate what even a small thing can do for someone
Its nice to know that someone i admire also admires me. Note this person is older then me by a couple years so age doesn't even matter in the slightest.
Aw thank you so much for this video! I've been having a really difficult time with self-esteem and have felt like the most annoying person in the world, so this really made me feel better. Love your videos guys!
I'm watching your video after a long time! When someone secretly admires and sing praises, it should catch up the person who is being admired and such! If they mimic, the mimicry should come to the fore some way or other! The going is great when they aren't sporadic and feeble after a time and there should be consistency so that there are confusions at times! Everyone once gets their message through should be clear enough for next things going are smooth and if there's anything hindering them, must be brought in the fore and reach a conclusion for the progress to be made in the positive direction! We should be lost in myriads of information so that the purpose of letting know is lost in the woods! Certain activity mustn't change the undercurrent which is understood between the people! The progress must be kept in force by any means and they must work hard to drive the nail home if it's a necessity! Clarity in an uncluttered manner is a great help in the progress!
No ones probably reading this a year after it’s been posted tbh, but after watching this video, I realize that my new partner who is a golden retriever type partner mixed with likely househusband (not over 18, so not sure if that’s the case yet, but it seems like it) absolutely loves and admires me a ton. He does all of these things, while going over the top as well, for example, giving me smarties when I’m on my period because chocolate upsets my stomach a lot. Thanks for this vid, really helped me realize how much ppl appreciate me as a person, no matter what I’m going thru (sorry for the long read)
I’m not secretly admiring, but I am looking up to someone. I didn’t even notice it until I saw this. He auditioned for a world class drum corps (that’s won world championships a LOT) as a joke, and he got in. He’s about seventeen I think, and he’s one of my biggest role models.

I'm actually like this around my friend! But she doesn't talk much because she doesn't sit next to me :[
As a person who secretly admires ppl I can say that this is valid
what if shes singing my name at work?
Thanks for letting me know that no one is interested in me
i secretly admire someone, and i dont want to be noticable so i saw this video
thanks, now i know what things i do and what to hide
Bro i literally have the opposite of ALL of these
Dont wanna seem creepy but i admire your voice.
so no one
Whoever wants to admire me needs to find someone better. Someone who isn't Broken and is NORMAL
Nope, I have nothing but backstabbers 😕
I was protected all throughout Jr. high and high school because of this, and i never realized till it was pointed out by my neighbor and brother.
Insturtctions unclear nobody loves me
Its nice to know that someone i admire also admires me. Note this person is older then me by a couple years so age doesn't even matter in the slightest.
"Have you ever noticed these secret signs of admiration?"
Good one 😂
Thank you for telling me that no one admirers me.
I’ve noticed mirroring, A LOT of mirroring but I always passed it up as mocking
I did all those because of my sister. I still think she is amazing
Actually useful youtube short, i didnt expect it in my feed, thanks
I can sense some people admiring me and even a friend who likes me in a rolantic way but noone feels comfortable enough to have a conversation openly
Aw thank you so much for this video! I've been having a really difficult time with self-esteem and have felt like the most annoying person in the world, so this really made me feel better. Love your videos guys!
You perfectly described my best friend Natalie In words, I never knew she admired me
I'm watching your video after a long time!
I do mirroring with friends sometimes when I feel like them, but not often
No one does this to me but I've come to realise that i admire way too many people
Wow. Now I know that that one girl at the back of the class actually likes me a lot. Thanks!!
This helps me better understand if i like my friend or not than if she likes me but ngl it's still helpful
I’ve noticed this in myself but never others.
I think I'm secretly admire someone
She is my friend
I always mimic her most of the time
This is actually true I had a crush on somebody and she had a crush on me and she did most of these things
One time an acquaintance of mine sung my praises to my parents when I wasn't around. Safe to say I was quite surprised when I got home
Thanks for reminding none admires me :)
I honestly feel like I don’t have my own personality anymore, it’s just a mix of everyone I know.
My Mom ❤
Hate it when people care too much about my approval
I’m not secretly admiring, but I am looking up to someone. I didn’t even notice it until I saw this.
He auditioned for a world class drum corps (that’s won world championships a LOT) as a joke, and he got in. He’s about seventeen I think, and he’s one of my biggest role models.
