I've been going through a difficult case. I distance myself from the people I like. I see them as some distraction and I totally hate this mindset of mine but I can't control it now. Recently I just started liking this guy in my class but I'm trying to distance myself from him and I'm like always failing to do so. I keep staring at him and admiring him. Many of these signs are witnessed by me and I've realised that it's quite a bit common between me and my crush mutually. However, I'm not sure.. he shared his feelings and secrets with me and I did too but I still don't believe that he actually likes me. I've started distancing myself from him but I can't stop staring at him and today as well I did so and he did it back to me with a smile. I won't think over this much further from just friends or just some random people as I'm still doubtful. Maybe its his personality and friendly demeanor with others. I really dont know if im being delusional with such scenarios but after much thought many of your points have actually been observed by me so just speaking from those references.
