  • We are going to try all the Canadian food that we can! Traveling from the United States of America, we are in Calgary, Alberta and visiting Canada for the first time in our lives! So many of the foods that you will see in this video, were foods that we didn't know existed until we came here. In this video, we try all of the Canadian favorites like Poutine and Beaver Tails as well as Calgarian created items like Ginger Beef and the Caesar.
    Welcome to the Calgary Food Tour! We're going to show you the best places to eat in Calgary while we do this, “Americans eat Canadian Food” taste test. Let us know if we missed anything and we will try it during our travels through British Columbia. Thank you to everyone who made suggestions on what we should eat!
    We are Meghan and Matt and we set a goal to travel 1 Million Miles! We are undertaking the road trip of a lifetime to Alaska and back to the US. On the way to Alaska we are going to soak up all of that Canada has to offer. If you want to follow our journey North to Alaska and back down through Vancouver, consider subscribing to our Channel. This is a bucket list road trip for us and we can't wait to bring you along.

    Love watching Americans come to Canada...so much fun to watch :-) Calgary was home for 20+ years for us. Howons around the corner from Silver Dragon is fantastic as well. Calgary has had so many different things since I left 10+ years ago. My son works as a police officer in Cardston, where you were in another video of yours. Other great places to eat in Calgary are Caesars Steakhouse and Coco Brooks for the best pizza in Calgary. I have a video on our channel from Calgary this year. We do a lot of videos in Eastern Canada. New subscribers here!

    I believe the term All Dressed for chips comes from the term All Dressed for a type of traditional Canadian pizza from Montreal (i.e. cheese, pepperoni, mushrooms and green peppers). Note that All Dressed chips were developed by a potato chip company based in Montreal.

    Hello you two 👋🏼
    This was a very cool food review video! Being a carnivore, my vegetarian friends always throw shade at the phrase “humanly farm raised cattle”, and call it hypocritical, bec the animals are eventually slaughtered for our culinary enjoyment (they say what’s humane about that?)! I always shrug the criticism off, and continue enjoying my steak…just like you 👍🏼
    I’m a HUGE Rangers fan, and was very sad that The Lightning beat them to get to the Stanley Cup Finals! Glad you got the chance to see one of the games Matt!

    Poutine originates from a restaurant formerly called Le Lutin quir rit in Warkwick in the Arthabaska region In Quebec Canada. It began in the 1950s. In Montreal there are many places to be sure. La Banquise is a very good place., among otheres. !!

    So a Caesar is not quite a bloody Mary with clamatto, the clamatto replaces the tomato juice, it's not both. It also usually has worcestershire sauce, pickle juice and Tabasco sauce!! Of course this is like chili, everyone has their own unique spin on it!

    • @Meghanandmatt
      @Meghanandmatt  ปีที่แล้ว
